Vegan restaurant est. 2018 by the owners of Ao26. Focus is on unprocessed vegan food, and makes most items in-house. Sample dishes such as waffles, dumplings, bruschetta with different toppings, and pasta. Offers a daily selection of cakes. Weekend brunch available 11-3. A private dining and events space is available for up to 35 people. Previously called O Botanista. Reported closed March 2024.

Worth a visit - Edit
The staff that served me were really warm and friendly. Extensive menu with something for everyone. The soup portion was very generous. Lots of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks to choose from. Beautiful interiors. Only thing was that the food lacked a little ‘wow’ factor, but I’d happily come back to try more.

The food was amazing, I had the pumpkin bruschetta, the pad Thai (best vegan pad Thai I've had) and the blondie with hazelnut ice cream 🤤. The lemonade had basil in it which was such a tasty twist.

Bad service, mediocre vegan food - Edit
The poor, or lack of customer service ruined the meal and the evening. No drinks order taken, served other people first that arrived much later. It was so bad that I no longer wanted to order their food so only got a starter.. which turned out to be really average. As a vegan only restaurant their food should be much better. GO TO AO 26 VEGAN RESTAURANT INSTEAD!!! Lovely service.. they make you feel welcome.. and their food is amazing

It really irked me that all of their indoor plants are dying from mealybug and nobody seems to notice (has nothing to do with the food).
My drinks were very bland. I‘d go again but it wouldn’t be my first choice.

This place is very nice to be. The atmosphere is very relaxed; think people working with their laptops and some lounge music on the background. The food is absolutely amazing and very affordable. On top of that the staff is very friendly and open to recommend you what to eat.

Es muy gratificante encontrar un restaurante con una carta saludable y con muchas opciones deliciosas y eso fue lo que encontré con mi esposa y mi hija en nuestra visita a O Botanista. Desde el servicio hasta la presentación de los platos pasando por supuesto por el sabor de sus platos. Espero tener la oportunidad de volver a Lisboa para visitarlo nuevamente.

What a gem to have discovered! This restaurant is a delight, we came in planning on having a snack and ended up staying for three courses and returning for lunch the next day. They don’t take reservations and can get quite busy

Had an awesome main course (the polenta with spinach and mushrooms), a meh dessert (the cake was quite dry), but altogether for a very reasonable price. Unfortunately however the staff seemed - although courteous - not really friendly. Like they didn't want to have to deal with the guests. Maybe because it was really busy? Anyway, reason enough for me not to recommend this place.

We found this place on our last day in Lisbon and were gutted as we would have been back again! The food is amazing and the menu is huge. I had the mint smoothie, it's basically a mint feast ice cream in a smoothie - A.M.A.Z.I.N.G. The bread board was beautiful with little pots of preserves and peanut butter. Huge range of cheeses and cheese cake. Visit!

Ordered polenta with mushrooms for lunch. Pleasantly surprised to find a thick layer of sauteed greens under the polenta. Musmfooms were amazing. Well complemented by a generous glass of local red wine. A mago carmel bolo (cake) for desert was exceptional for a vegan pastry that looks dairy.

Lovely all vegan place with a lot of options. Very inviting interior and friendly staff. Mains were good, but we especially loved to indulge the chocolate fondue (for two) and the ice cream with roasted pear! Went there for dinner so we didn’t try the cakes that all looked fantastic.

Fancy but customer service needs a polish - Edit
Cons: Restaurant advertised as closing at 8pm but on arrival just before 7pm we were told they closed in 30 minutes. When we said that was ok for us, the guy looked a bit annoyed we still wanted to eat.
Read moreThe waitress was nice but not as friendly as we've been experiencing in Lisbon and the guy stood at the counter glaring across the restaurant at everyone for the 30 minutes we were there. He didn't smile once even when we tipped them.
More expensive than we've been paying in other Vegan restaurants in Lisbon. Small portions. We left still peckish.
Pros: Very tasty food cooked perfectly and inventive. Beautiful dessert cake.

Larger place set back from the road with lots of plants (hence the name). The menu has great variety with lots of choices for starters, mains and desserts, they even box up cake to take away. Staff and helpful and informative.

So far, one of the best vegan restaurants in town. The interior is so beautiful and full of plants, service is great and most importantly the food is so delicious. I have tried some mane meals and several desserts and hadbto say I wss not that amazed by desserts, but they are getting better and I am so looking forward to have a red velvet 😊 absolutely worth a visit, althoutnitnis mot cheap.

Good menu with lots of choice. We chose the Gupta which was delicious and the black pasta and a mushroom burger. The pasta was fantastic - the hash browns with the burger were too although the burger itself was just average. The desserts were delicious. The only thing that really let them down was the very long wait for cocktails- although at least they were good when they arrived!
