Oh my, even my non-vegan friends loved it - Edit
We went there at the end of the day to see what desserts we could get for take away. We came home with some really delicious pizza. Needed 3 slices. They had 4 and gave us the last one free. Now that’s nice. And it was so good. Reheated perfectly. Generosity, great taste, great location. All reasons to pay Origin a visit when in Strasbourg!

Nice, small cafe with indoor and outdoor seating. Despite being small, it has a WC. We ate croissants stuffed with almonds and they were very good. They have soy milk for the coffee (in addition to the classic oat milk).

Il y a beaucoup de choix en viennoiseries (même des beignets !).

En revanche les viennoiseries sont chères (autour de 2 à 4€), et bien souvent trop sèches...

Un tout petit café avec un accueil formidable. Un grand choix de viennoiseries (pains au chocolat, couques suisses, cinnamon rolls, ...), des sandwiches, de la quiche, etc. J'ai goûté 4 viennoiseries et c'était vraiment extrêmement bon. Les pains au chocolat sont une vraie tuerie, un nouveau standard pour moi! Je suis resté là plus d'une heure et malgré la grosse affluence je n'ai assisté qu'à beaucoup de bienveillance dans l'accueil. Merci!

Réel coup de cœur pour le lieu, le personnel et les produits ! Bon café et lait. Tout est bio qui plus est. Les vienoiseries sont top (3ans que je n'avais pas mangé de pain au chocolat 🍫). Le restauration salée aussi ! Bacon, fromage, rillettes de la mer (oui oui tout est vegan),... On reviendra assurément ! 😍

Great place to rest and enjoy the views in the middle of the pedestrian area of Strasbourg. Plenty of outdoor seating and a few tables inside this cozy cafe. The self service pastries are cheap, delicious and just the right size to enjoy with your coffee. Everything else I’ve tried has been great. Nice healthy options alongside some more indulgent choices but not the trashy kiddie meal food that euros have been leaning into heavily lately.

The pastries are delicious and there are many types to choice from (croissants, pain au chocolat, suisse, cinnamon bun, streusel, pain au raisin and the list goes on and on). They also have cakes and tartes, some pizza squares and pasta that can be grabbed to go.

Cute bakery close to La Petite France. The baked goods were really delicious. For lunch we tried the quiche which was fresh out of the refrigerator and therefore really cold.

I had not yet found a croissant that mimics the taste I remember from omni times. My search has come to an end, so good!
Read moreCappucino was not quite mine. The hot chocolate tasted nice and chocolaty though. Apple pie with raisins was also top notch. Sandwich type "curry chicken" quite good.
All in all, we were extremely satisfied and there were many more things we would have liked to try. Also, as a purely vegan place, it's a beacon in an area with many dedicated meat, cheese and leather stores.
Pros: All vegan, Super friendly staff
Cons: Have to travel to Strasbourg to get there ;)

I tried the swiss brioche and a brioche with chocolate chips. I don't know why but it seemed to me a bit passed or dry. Otherwise they have cakes, hot and iced drinks, croissants, cinnamon rolls, pain au chocolat, stroessel and so on. Outdoor and indoor seating. Prices are rather high.

Prices are pretty high (almost 2€ for a croissant with almonds)
I was a bit disappointed though as both brioche and pain suisse were dry not fluffy at all. :/

Blown away by this café and the options it had. The vegan pastry’s were plentiful and the sandwiches/baguettes tasted amazing. We ordered the fake tuna roll, the pork bbq baguette and the pâté baguette as well as pain au chocolate, croissants and beignets. We also had their pizza slices. Everything was delicious. The best I’ve had. It was good to see such a range of options.
