Vegan Lunch in Rome - Edit
📌 @origanotrevi

Taste: 🤤🤤🤤/5
Value: €€ - Reasonable
🌱 GNOCCHI ALLA SORRENTINA VEGANI
💰: €13.00
💭: this was lovely however I wouldn’t say filling (or maybe I just was extra hungry that day). The gnocchi itself was soft to bite and the perfect texture. The sauce was a sort of plain tomato sauce
🤷🏽♀️: Order again? Yes
🏆 - Fav Dish
🌱 MARGHERITA VEGANA
💰: €12.00
💭: very large pizza but was rather thin. Did not have enough sauce
🤷🏽♀️: Order again? Yes
📝: there are two of these restaurants in Rome, the other being Origano Campo de’ Fiori. The menu looks to be 50% vegan friendly. The restaurant is cool which makes it a great spot for lunch, to get out of the sun for a while and cool down.
Pros: Lots of vegan options
Cons: No outside seating

Good selection of options - Edit
This is the second Orgiano resteraunt I have been to in Rome. They both have a good range of starters and main courses but there are a few differences between this and 'Origano Campo de' which is also not far from here. This origano has less options for desert and the pizzas are completely different.
Read moreThe pizzas here are thin crust.
The pizzas at Origano Campo de are more of the fluffy Italian crust.
Overall it was good and a slightly different experience to their other restaurant.
Pros: Good range of options, Tasty food, Friendly staff
Cons: Not consistent with the other origano resteraunt

Loads of options - Edit
Went to Origano for dinner, got the artichoke carpaccio for a starter (do not recommend at all) and a vegan pizza (very good). It is a bit pricey for what you could get in other places, and the vibe of the restaurant is not the best. Overall, good options for vegans when tired of eating cheeseless pizzas.

Great Italian food! Great choices for both vegan and non-vegans! - Edit
Great for myself and my family as I’m vegan and they aren’t. It meant I could enjoy an Italian pasta dish that was 100% vegan while they could enjoy their meat and cheese Italian dishes. Perfect for vegan families and couples, for non-vegan groups and for a mix of both! The wine was great and I thought the price was the same as the other places around town too!

Extensive vegan menu! - Edit
We had a wonderful time, having our most belovid italian classics veganized at this place. The prices were reasonable, and my definite recommendation would be to get the pizza with champignons, olives and vegan ham (can’t recall the name). If I had to name a downside it’d only be that you can’t sit outside.

Delicious, cheesy vegan gnocchi. Lots of clearly marked options on the menu. Tiramisu just ok- not much flavor. Overall highly recommend!!

Perfect restaurant (5 stars) - Edit
Close to the Trevi fountain is the chain Origami.
Read moreThey have multiple locations across Rome and you should eat here at least once during your stay.
I've eating multiple times here during my stay in Rome and tried pizza's, gnocchi, pasta's and dessert. All were amazing!
The price is also great, as food can be expensive in big cities this restaurant is a great place for your wallet as well. We ordered wine along our food and it still was at a price that wasn't shocking.
Pros: Amazing food, Great price, Great desserts

Excellent vegan options in central Rome - Edit
Loved this restaurant! It looks very lowkey on the outside and is kind of a hidden gem, but it's conveniently located between the Trevi Fountain and the Spanish Steps. I love that they have so many vegan options on the menu (which are clearly labelled), including desserts. The vegan gnocchi alla Sorrentina was very creamy and tasty, and the vegan tiramisu was amazing as well! I'd love to try their mille-feuille and carrot cake next time. The prices were also very reasonable, especially for such a well-located restaurant!

I would give this place 5 stars if I could! - Edit
I had the gnocchi and my husband had the artichoke risotto. They were both mind blowing! The gnocchi were cooked to perfection and the magical sauce they put on them was delicious! I had a bite of my husbands risotto and I had to stop myself from asking for more! Would absolutely recommend this place and we hope to get back again before we leave Rome!

Quite Decent - Edit
Still mostly tourists in there, but the food seems Roman enough. Atmosphere was okay, but also not too original.

It was a good place - Edit
For starter we got "Carpaccio Di Carciofo Vegan Su Letto Di Rucola" , it was very delicious. Then we tried vegan Margherita and spaghetti carbonara, both very good! 😋 For dessert we got Millefoglie Vegana and tiramisu. Suddenly we remembered to take the photos just by dessert time 🤣
Read moreEverything was so good and the place was in a very good location, also just 10min from our accommodation 😬
As a bad point I'd just say that some of the work team weren't very professional, one girl dropped part of our food and we didn't say anything thinking that she would replace it but she never did, no even apologized 🤨
Aside from that everything was so nice, another worker offered to take a photo of us (she was so lovely!) 😊
Pros: Good vegan options, Healthy, Good location

Nice amount of vegan options - Edit
This spot had a lot of wonderful vegan options but the quality of the food was firmly ok to me. The pizza was okay, the tiramisu was bad, and the vegan pasta I had was good. Not a memorable meal and didn’t feel like it lived up to the high culinary standards most places in Italy have.
