3.5 stars. Staff were lovely and super helpful with my gluten intolerance. Unfortunately, I could only have the chips, but hopefully more gluten-free options will be added in the future. Great spot for vegans who can survive gluten 😂

Super tasty junk food! I ate too much and shouldn’t have had everything with the fake-bacan bits on it. The food itself was really nice and the Mac & Cheese was the best bit. I would happily eat there again.

I've been to quite a few branches of Oowee and recently I feel like it's lost its spark. The burgers used to be really juicy and the Cluckin Waffle Fries were just excellent. The burgers are not as saucy and the toppings on the Cluckin Waffle Fries are a bit underwhelming now, but despite this they are still tasty.
Read moreThis time we got the Big VG Burger and the BBQ Cluckin Sandwich, with a sharing size portion of Cluckin Waffle Fries. The Big VG had a nice thick juicy Beyond patty and the burger was tasty. The BBQ Cluckin Sandwich was also tasty although it could've done with more BBQ sauce. The waffle fries were lovely and crispy and would've been excellent with the right toppings. Unfortunately there just wasn't enough cheese or gravy so it was a little dry. I also don't rate the popcorn chicken on top of the waffle fries – there's nothing wrong with it I just think it was a lot better when they used to have proper strips of fake chicken in this dish.
That said the food is still tasty so I still think it's worth a visit. This branch also has a cool seating area and was a nice place to sit in and eat.
UPDATE: Went back to try their Christmas special Truffle Fondue Fries and they were excellent! Me and my wife shared the Sharing size waffle fries version which was expensive at £13 but was very tasty. I loved the variety of flavours and it was really saucy and indulgent.

You kinda know what you're getting with these kinds of places, but I think that's the point. It scratches that fast food itch without you handing money over to an unethical business and it removes any concerns about cross contamination. So for offering up a quick and dirty burger and fries I salute Oowee. I had the smashburger which was good, would probably go for the double next time as the bread/party ratio would be better. Unfortunately the milkshake machine was down on my visit - next time! My partner had a crispy chikken burger - which I think I actually preferred to the beef style. It's one of those places I'd just eat through the menu if I lived closer.

I’ve been waiting to try Oowee for ages and am so glad I finally got to! I’m not from Brighton so have been waiting to visit. The food was so good and tasted amazing! I had it delivered and it arrived quickly and hot. The portion size was great! I can’t wait to go back.

Hubby had the chicken burger and fries and it was, I think, the BEST chicken burger we’ve ever had! And we’ve tried a fair few… what is this sorcery?!?!?
Also had an Oreo milkshake which was so thick you couldn’t use a straw. Makes such a nice change to watery milkshakes. If I’m paying over a fiver, I want it THICCCCK.
Finished my food and sat there with a full tummy thinking, what else can I grab to take with me?!

Owwee were there in a pinch when our usual let us down- hadn't tried it before but will be going again, place is clean and modern. we had 'fish and chips' and was good price at £7.95- comes with fires, tartare sauce and this mushy pea thing i didn't like at first on it's own, but with the chips it was 'chef's kiss'. Toilet is clean, gender neutral and disabled friendly (all one loo though) -

The garlickiest Mayo ever - Edit
I was so excited to try the vegan options in Brighton on our 3 day trip here. We ate in once and then also ordered a takeaway for the way home. I can’t remember the name of the one I got but it was “chicken” and it was lusssshhh! We got so many chips with it too. I ordered a side of garlic Mayo and it was SOOOO garlicky!! I have been adding just as much garlic to our own Mayo ever since.

Really loved the range of options on the menu, including multiple vegan chicken and fish style burgers. Lots of sides and dips, too. The staff member was really helpful when we couldn't decide!
Read moreThe burgers were really tasty and true to 'fast food' style. I was impressed by the texture of the chicken burger and bacon. The churros were also nice.
The restaurant has fun branded decoration, but could have been neater and more comfortable. We went on a cold night and were chilly indoors. The food was worth it, though!
Overall, we were really impressed with the taste and range of choice. We'll be coming back to try more of the menu soon.
Pros: Great menu with lots of options., Tasty food!, Reasonable price.
Cons: Eating area and toilet could be better., Would like more drinks options.

I really like the food here- burgers are packed and the bread is so soft. The only reason I don’t give 5 is that the chicken patty doesn’t taste of much, better to get “chicken” burgers elsewhere. Try the “beef” burger instead!
