Great vegan donuts - and they are not gluten-free - Edit

At first, I was worried that the vegan donuts were also gluten-free, which is the case at Broad Street Dough Co (not bad donuts, but the vegan donuts at Broad Street are gluten-free so they don’t taste like conventional donuts). But the vegan donuts at Once Bitten are completely different from the gluten-free. They told me that the vegan donuts are made to order. I don’t think they fried them to order, because then they would have to let them cool for a while before they could put on the toppings. But I think they have a bunch of plain vegan cake donuts in the back, and they put the icing and toppings on as you order them. So I waited about 10-15 minutes for 3 vegan donuts. Well worth it! The donuts were so delicious! Not greasy at all. The donuts themselves are not very sweet, so it all depends on the toppings/icing. The decor is soooo cute - lots of pink and neon and very inviting!

Pros: Donuts are delicious and fresh , Really cute decor, Also have vegan ice cream

Cons: They charge extra for vegan donuts, I wish they had a vegan flavor w/o chocolate, Vegan donuts take extra time

Vegan donuts are meh - Edit

There were only three vegan options. I tried the nutter butter flavor and it was not something I could eat in one sitting. There was an odd flavor on the back end of each bite that I couldn’t place but I think I narrowed it down to the flavor of the cake donut. I am of the mind that your base needs an excellent taste before you go adding toppings. All in all, it fed me, but I won’t go thinking about it again.

Vegan Donuts All Day - Edit

I do not live near vegan donuts and had been dreaming of some for a while, so was so happy to find Once Bitten Donuts while walking around Red Bank one afternoon. There were three options and we tried both to Coco Loco and Nutter Butter. They were both fabulous, but the Coco Loco was the better of the two. While eating my donut, I noticed that they had multiple vegan ice cream flavors. Too bad the one time you don't really want ice cream is right after eating a donut.

Once Bitten, please consider a vegan Kronut!

Donuts - Edit

This dessert shop is really cute! They have three vegan donuts. They have Oreo, Nutterbutter & Coco Loco. I tried the NB and the CL. They were both really good! Personally, my fav was the CL, because I love desserts with coconut. The Nutterbutter was just as good, I just prefer the coconut. I think the donut itself was really good. They did a great job creating this. I would definitely return . They also have vegan Icecream, but I did not try.

They have a big selection of vegan ice cream and about 3 doughnuts to choose from. The ice cream was phenomenal

Pretty disappointed to walk in and be told they only do vegan donuts on the weekends (with some confusion as to why I was even asking.). Not sure if Happy Cow just got it wrong but still a bummer.
