Best Vegan Restaurant in Japan - Edit
This ticks all the boxes. The Okonomiyaki and Yakisoba were amazing, staff super friendly, and the atmosphere is lovely. I would come back to Osaka just for this!

Helpful, adorable, open late - Edit
Awesome, adorable little place that goes out of its way to be vegan friendly and in the midst of 1000 other restaurants that aren’t. Also pretty tasty, inexpensive, and English-friendly. Wish I could give it 5 stars.

Cheap, tasty and huge portions! - Edit
Honestly, our favourite vegan/veggie friendly joint in all Japan. Huge portions (only go for a medium if you're realllyyyy hungry). If there's two of you, you could share a medium.

Nice food, but it's allowed to smoke there - Edit
We liked the food a lot, and the staff was very friendly, but we didn't find the place comfortable as it is VERY small and also we were unaware that it was allowed to smoke after 10PM. We went there late at night after arriving at Osaka and we were too tired to look for somewhere else when we notice the smoke situation, so if you hate smoke like us don't consider this place as an option after 10 PM.

So much food! - Edit
Would give 5 stars if it was possible. The staff are very friendly and make an effort to make sure they know your dietary restrictions. The food is great and there’s a lot of it! There’s the option to take left overs away with you. For the veggies/vegans you get to choose 5 toppings from a list. The drinks are supper cheap at only ¥180. The okonomiyaki was around ¥1000. It’s a small place and was full of locals when we went which is always a good sign that the food is good!

Offers meat but vegans are first class citizens - Edit
The first thing they ask is if you are vegan or vegetarian and they walk you through the ordering process. They use tofu leftovers instead of flour so its all gluten free. Drinks are also all 180 yen. Very friendly staff.

Vegetarian or vegan okonomiyaki - Edit
Very chilled place with friendly staff. You Can choose between different okonomiyakis of your choice of diet. The portions are also enough to get you full, I couldn’t finish a medium.

Perfect for any combo of vegan/veg/gluten free, etc - Edit
My girlfriend and I are vegetarians (although in Japan we have eaten fish a few times because it is so hard to find vegan/vegetarian restaurants). We got very lucky finding this place as it was just a few blocks from out hotel in Shinsaibashi. She has to eat gluten free as well, and this restaurant was perfect for us. The staff was incredibly nice and accommodating to our dietary restrictions. The food was amazing, portions are great (if you get a large order of the onomiyaki, be prepared to take it to go!) and very reasonably priced. The restaurant itself is very small and cozy on the second floor. Overall, can’t say enough nice things about this place. It’s the perfect way for any sort of non-meat water to enjoy a bit of japanese traditional cuisine.

Brilliant place! - Edit
Excellent little place in Osaka for okonomiyaki be it vegetarian, vegan or neither! The host is very friendly and accomodating. They have a great way of customising your dish to your dietary requirements. Drinks are very good value as well, the cheapest I found in Japan! I would give 5 stars but the app won't allow me to!

Great surprise - Edit
Very nice little colorful and joyful place with a warm welcome from the young team. The otomiyakis were excellent, the drinks were the least expensive of all Japan. We really enjoyed our dinner and made ourselves feel at home.

Great Okonomiyaki, vegetarian or vegan - Edit
Not sure why this listing says it serves meat, I only ever saw a vegetarian and vegan menu.
Read moreStaff are friendly and speak English. They have a menu with pictures and English. They also have a handy chart which helps communicate which type of vegetarian or vegan you are. The food is freshly cooked after you order. Drinks are very inexpensive. The restaurant is cozy and when we were there, under utilised, but you could see there are times when it is really busy.
We chose a medium okonomiyaki each and it was way more food than we could eat, so we took the rest home for a healthy breakfast. All their okonomiyaki is gluten free and packed with vegetables. We've been in Japan for a week + and haven't seen a lot of veggies in our meals, so this was a welcome change. We left with full happy tummies and a couple of take away containers full of yummy food.
Highly recommend this place.

We came to experience the Osaka Okonomiyaki and boy did we. I ordered the Large and my wife ordered the medium. Be warned the large is big enough to feed 3 hungry people. I got halfway through and took the rest home.

Great food, very friendly people - Edit
The place is a bit difficult to find, it’s a small place on a side street and on the first floor, but worth a visit. They have both vegetarian and vegan options. The lady who runs the place is really friendly and was very helpful in helping me select. I wish I could give 5 stars but this web site won’t allow that because 5 stars are reserved only for fully vegetarian and vegan restaurants.

My partner and I ordered a medium plate and shared it. Definitely big enough for two people to eat as it is quite large. You can pick 5 ingredients and they have a chart for vegan, lacto vegetarian and so on. The staff were amazing and so friendly!!!!! We were there on the 1/7/19 ❤️ was approx 1450 yen for the medium plate can’t remember exactly.

Fantastic Okonomiyaki! - Edit
Quirky little place upstairs, run by super friendly and attentive staff. You get to choose 5 veggies for the Okonomiyaki. While staff speak basic English, they use a translate app to communicate and have menus and instructions written up in English which makes the ordering process so much easier. Very tasty food at very reasonable prices.
