Lovely owner and best vibe in town - Edit
This place is so fun. You pour your own drinks, chat to the owner through a microphone called Mike from upstairs because she’s literally a 1 woman band and write on the walls. We arrived at 5:30pm and opted to go for a walk for 15 minutes. Line was already forming 😂 lucky you can pour yourself a drink and snack on peanuts while you wait. 4 levels of seating mean you can sit pretty quickly. 200Y drinks is crazy cheap and the auto pour beer is very cool. Check this place out and leave your mark on the walls.

The woman who runs this is amazing! - Edit
After seeing the long queues, we got here 15 mins before it opened and got straight in. The woman who runs it is incredible, she does it all herself, with a smile on her face! Food was tasty.

The food was one of the best I had in Japan. I know it's not a vegan restaurant but it feels like that bc all people waiting were there for the vegan/vegge stuff. The owner it's amazing, one girl army! And the okonomiyaki was simply delicious. It's an experience you need to try for yourself. It worth the wait for sure! AND GLUTEN FREE!!!!

The food was good but really you want to go here for the atmosphere. Maybe arrive a bit before opening, we got there ~18:15 and waited for ~40-50 minutes, but worth it. I think the menu is fully vegetarian, idk why happy cow lists meat. The Okonomiyaki and Gyoza are gluten free, and you can add vegan or normal cheese.

Great fun and delicious food. We ordered a vegan okonomiyaki and some gyoza. Also helped ourselves to drinks once we'd paid our ¥200. Fun concept, we had to queue outside for 15mins as she's a one-person place so cooks the next order straight away and then uses a microphone to tell you the food is ready to collect. We enjoyed our time here and it's brilliant that she manages to do it all herself.

This restaurant is top of the charts. Full vegan and GF menu where I was able to have traditional okonomiyaki. Vegan cheese and Gyoza was also available. First restaurant where I found vegan cheese. Unbelievable service, where its a one woman show. I would give this place 5 stars. Super friendly owner. Make sure to go early as queue starts before opening hours. One of my top favourite meals in Japan.

One Woman Powerhouse Busting Out Crazy Food - Edit
This was a fun night out, the woman who runs this place (Shiho) has every single ounce of respect that I can give someone. I've never seen someone work harder and seem to have an awesome time while doing it. Go here just to show her respect.
Read moreShe has a complete veggie menu of typical okonomiyaki offerings, pick 5 veg items and she'll whip them up over noodles or over the pancake style thing-o. I don't know much about this style of food other than, it's clearly very very popular in Osaka and, it's freaking delicious.
The place screams "VEGAN Vegetarian" on the outside of the building, but somehow it's not actually exclusively a vegan/vegetarian place. That said, there are about 14,000 other okonomi places you can go in Osaka, the folks that were showing up here, were looking for the non-meat offerings. There was a line out the door when we were there, she offers self serve peanuts and drinks. Inside the walls are covered with sayings and gratitude from guests. Shiho is incredible, I could never be as amazing as she is.

you MUST try this this place if you’re in Osaka! One woman runs it all by herself and she’s incredible. The food tasted amazing and portion sizes were huge, almost everything had a vegan option. The food tasted incredible and was clearly made with love. You can also pay 200yen and make your own drink out of pretty much anything you want!

The place is small, but super inviting. The owner was really nice. The food was really good. What took it to another level is the drinks. You pay per cup and can customize your own drink at their bar. Loved the experience.

Great place for vegan okonimiyaki - Edit
This place is very small and busy, run by an adorable Japanese girl. She was so lovely! I don’t how she was managing everything by herself. Kudos to her. Servings are big but delicious. I think it’s hard to get vegan okonimiyaki in Osaka and this was the only place we knew for sure. Also serving yakisoba and gyoza. Order it all! It’s worth it. There was a queue as the place is small but you shouldn’t have to wait long. Great food!!

Happy Cow won’t let me give it 5 stars as there are meat options, it deserves ALL the stars though. This is maybe my new favourite restaurant!! The atmosphere is incredible, the place itself is so cute and Shiho who runs the place all by herself is absolutely amazing and has infectious energy! The food was absolutely delicious, there are quite a lot of options, GF available too. You might have to queue a bit but it’s so worth it. 10/10 would return. (English speaker friendly too!)

Shiho - the lady that runs Oko solo - might be the coolest person, and her restaurant certainly is. Come for the vibe, it's a memorable experience! I loved the walls covered in bright colours and support graffiti, and the microphone links between the floors and the kitchen for Shiho to call your number and you to chat to her if you'd like.
