Unassuming spot that has some of the best and most beautifully crafted vegan sushi I’ve ever had! Really impressive and fairly priced.

Excellent Flavors - Edit
While vacationing in Montreal, we were excited to try the various vegan sushi restaurants. We stayed at a hotel two subways stops from Ohana and decided to have dinner there one night. We ordered the Soupe Miso, Ravioli Frit, the Automne Roll and the Poke Aux Champignon. Each dish was fantastic and the highlight was the Poke Bowl. It was beautifully presented and there was wonderful complexity in the dish. The treatment of the mushrooms was outstanding. It's a relatively small dining room with one large bench table that you can share with other guests. The service was friendly and helpful. It's only a block away from the Number 2 Subway line at Mont-Royal. After your meal, you can try the amazing vegan, gluten-free desserts at Vegateau - which is a 15 minute walk from Ohana.

Can’t give lower than 5 stars - Edit
This restaurant has got to be one of the best sushi restaurant I have ever been to, the menu is large, not only serving sushi but poke bowls, pad Thai and more. The meals are very imaginative with some dishes using black rice and they even had vegan salmon and tuna. From my experience there, I physically can’t give this place lower than 5 stars, I would give more than 5 stars if I could. This is the type of place that I would love to come back to so I can try the whole menu if I could. Delicious

BEST VEGAN SUSHI!!! - Edit
I ordered 50 pieces for me and my two friends and not only they have a ton of variety in rolls, also the mix flavours are delicious and mimicking the non vegan sushi. Our server was also really patient and kind, explaining and recommending the sauces for each flavour. Really recommended!!

Wonderful atmosphere - Edit
The place has a really nice atmosphere, with really friendly waiters. We might have been unlucky with our sushi choices, but they all tasted fairly similar and, although tasty, could have been more flavourful

You gave this place 3 stars because it's small? That's ridiculous.

Even Better The Second Time - Edit
I first visited Ohana Sushi last summer and it did not disappoint. This visit, however, with being extra hungry and ordering more dishes...I was blown away!! You cannot go wrong with this menu. You will never have order envy because everything is truly delicious. My favorites include the Ravioli À La Vapeur as well as the F-EEL Me Roll and for dessert, the Coupe De Litchi. Ohana Sushi is amazing and you will love it!

Creative vegan sushi - simply excellent - Edit
So impressed by this cute sushi place in the Plateau serving creative plant-based sushi and other Asian fare. Everything is so fresh, tasty, and visually appealing. It's a tiny little restaurant (with a lovely outdoor patio in the summer), very warm and welcoming, and I would 100% recommend this place. The prices are mid-range (expect to spend a bit over 30$ per person, including tax and tip). The service was a bit slow, but maybe it was just a very busy evening.
Read moreThere is a large selection of sushi rolls, including several made with black rice. The easiest (and most budget-friendly) option would be to go for the combo platters, but it's fun to order rolls individually to try out different things. I can't even pick a favorite, everything was so tasty! The rolls are quite big and filling. We ordered 5 rolls for 2 people - we finished everything, but we were stuffed afterwards!
I highly recommend this place for beautiful & delicious vegan sushi in the Plateau Mont-Royal!

Colourful and fresh! - Edit
This was my first experience at a fully vegan sushi restaurant, and I was not disappointed! I had the Princesse, the F-eel me and the Fruit maki.
Read moreThe Princesse was a great, both in taste and texture, and just the right balance between a classic sushi and something more original with the beets and lentils. The touch of green apple really hit the spot. The spicy mayo sauce that comes with it is a perfect match. 8.5/10
I wasn't convinced by the F-eel me, since as a long-term vegan I found the texture and taste of the faux-shrimp and faux-tuna very rubbery and unsettling. A lot of people seem to like them, but it's just not for me, maybe because it's too realistic, and I had to pull them out. The cold mushroom didn't help. Interestingly, the caviar didn't bother me. 5/10 Thankfully, there are many other very appealing "fish"-free options on the menu if you want to steer away from that.
Now, the Fruit maki was just something else. It's like a pink crêpe wrap filled with fruit (and avocado?!) served with a large slice of pitaya, maple syrup and ice cream. Does that sound a little random? But WOW. It was the perfect summery, festive dessert. That thing changed my life. I'm going to dream about it tonight. I will for sure go back to this place, if only to get only those Fruit maki as a random snack. 12/10
(Note that you don't have to pay extra for soy sauce, ginger and wasabi, although it's not super clear if ordering online! I also felt like I didn't need any of these, the food and sauces are way tasty enough already.)
Pros: Colourful and fresh food, LOTS of choice, Dessert made my heart sing with joy
Cons: A little expensive, Mock tuna was unsettling, I didn't like it
