Vegan Chicken Wings!! - Edit
This place is fantastic!! The vegan chicken wings (we had the seitan version with Korean barbecue sauce and scallion sour cream) and the vegan mac and cheese were both phenomenal. I could eat that meal every day and be extremely happy. In fact, there was so much mac and cheese that I couldn't finish, so I took it back to my hotel room, placed it on my nightstand, and happily ate the remainder when I woke up the following morning. No fridge, no microwave required. I'm drooling a little just thinking about it. If it was possible to give 5 stars to a non-fully-vegan restaurant, I would!!

delicious! - Edit
I ate here with a table full of vegans last night. There were many app and entree options for us. Additionally they even had a cocktail labeled vegan! None of us tried it, but this is something I haven't seen elsewhere. I ordered the seitan cheese steak and while it wasn't really cheesy it was SO good, and it comes with fries. The tofu bites and focaccia were also yummy. I left totally stuffed. This is a great local pub with many vegan comfort food options. We will be back!

This can't be vegan but it is - Edit
This menu is not billed as a vegan restaurant, but it has easily over six unique, customized vegan options. It was wonderful to eat a vegan option that went beyond the veggie burger. There were so many choices. The server explained that the menu is the result of the chef herself being vegan. Non-vegan and vegetarian fare are also abundant making this a restaurant for everyone.

Tasty Vegan Options - Edit
Living in Newmarket I come here often with non-vegan friends. They always have a vegan special or my vegan staples to turn to. It just get 4 stars because eating in places that cook meat sometimes smell like meat or fish. Blah!

rugged chique and tasty bites - Edit
The Oak House serves mostly meat dishes. But the restaurant is saved by its very own vegan chef in the kitchen whose inspirations made my evening a sheer delight. There is a delicious vegan burger with ample beans, lentils and home made cashew spread. For appetizers I enjoyed the vegan veggie bruschetta with beets and peppers and cashew cream. Otherwise burger and bruschetta earn 5 stars! We also tried an app special with tofu and hummus wrapped in lettuce. This was so-so. The night was topped off with a creamy and delightful peanut butter and coconut cream torte that left me smiling and rubbing my belly for hours. so so so good!
