Poor Service - Edit
Eaten here twice and both times the service was bad, we were the third table in there but the server was very slow coming to take our order, food took a while as well, the food does make up for it but not enough to go back. lots of vegan and gluten free options tho. fairly priced for the size of the meals as well.

Great all veg spot! - Edit
A solid vegetarian spot in Banff! Tons of exciting and eclectic dishes, most of which can be made vegan. Don't believe the previous reviews that they serve meat are inaccurate, the ravioli dish has lobster and oyster mushrooms. For summer visitors, they even have lunch take-out specials for $13!

Strange adaptations of comfort food - Edit
I’m giving it four stars, because it is the only all veg restaurant in the area. Most of the menu is vegan and the server is very knowledgeable about vegan and gluten free. The menu is very eclectic, but the recipes are quite strange. My friend remarked that it seemed like the chef came up with the recipes when he was high. The nachos and poutine do not taste like nachos or poutine. They aren’t bad, but they are quite strange. The nachos are like a fruit salad on chips and the poutine was curry potatoes. The atmosphere is good, kinda trendy. The prices were very high.

An unexpected find! - Edit
A chilled & layed back eatery. Great menu for both vegetarians and vegans, especially when it's quite difficult to find places to eat in the area.

Awful. - Edit
I'll keep this brief. Prices are exorbitant. The waits between courses were really trying our patience. The recipes were weird - sort of being pretentious for the sake of it. Also you really need to be careful to specify vegan if that's your diet - they appeared to have a lot of real cheeses on the menu - and one item with actual lobster (the ravioli).
Read moreThe final straw here was the manager made us feel awful. Long story short - we were brought an incorrect item - but we didn't realize it was incorrect (was the daily soup) and started eating it - the correct soup was then brought out and the manager took the half-eaten incorrect item away from us saying "it's not what you wanted"... uhh.. can't we keep it - we really like it and it's half-eaten? Nope - he was willing to charge us for it though if we wanted it. We then found a hair in the correct item - so we asked for it to be removed from the bill - to which he basically read us the riot act - in front of other customers. Okay - I get it - you feel a need to defend your product, but sometimes the customer is right. On a smaller note - I requested tofu be added to my dish (Hong Kong Noodles) - and as was par for the course - was not in it, but was on the bill.
The only positives we felt were the cafe is pretty cool - local artwork and nice energy, and our actual server was really sweet.
Pros: Server was really nice, Cafe has a nice energy, Location in downtown Banff is nice
Cons: Manager, Prices, Waits for food

Fantastic! - Edit
Cute, artsy cafe with a great wait staff and fabulous food! We both had the ramen and a side of bread wedges. The ramen was sublime and perfectly seasoned. This was easily THE best ramen we have ever had! The Shotgun Wedding Brown Ale was smooth with a nice balance of chocolate and caramel. Everything on the menu is vegan except two vegetarian selections.

So good! - Edit
After hearing all the hype of this place I had to try it out, and I must say, it did live up to the hype! Yes, the prices are high but as most are saying, everything it Banff is. After a long day so skiing the Chili Chai hot chocolate with vegan whip was amazing! Will definitely have to go back before my visit is over!

Tasty tacos! - Edit
It was hard to chose from their impressive menu so we went for the Tuesday special, which was tacos- $12 for two instead of the usual $18. We had the vegan versions and they were delicious. Although they didn’t look huge they were filling. We also ordered char Sui tofu which was yum. Staff were friendly and the place has a nice atmosphere.

Same as everywhere but better - Edit
Everywhere in Banff is expensive. So is Nourish. But besides being expensive the restaurant is definitely our favourite. Vegetarian fare that is easily made vegan. Service was pleasant and helpful. They can make a huge variety of sodas. Just think of it and they can probably make it. I think I had a gnocchi or pasta dish and it was superb. Everything was great. Only knock is the expense.

Delicious and Amazing - Edit
Everything on the menu sounds so tasty. I went on taco tuesday where i was able to get two (well-filled) tacos for $12. These were phenomenal and so packed with flavour. I couldn't decide which one I liked more. My friend got the ramen and she spent a short period seriously debating whether or not it would be rude to drink the broth straight from the bowl because she loved it so much. We both ended our meal with the raw cheesecake which was a bit of a splurge but worth every penny. The flavour of the day was 'orange and coconut', and was beautifully plated.

One of the few vegan options in Banff - Edit
Excellent food and service with an all vegan menu. We ate fajitas with of course vegan cream cheese, the seasoning was excellent. Kudos to the chef and server who was very pleasant.

Interesting nacho's! - Edit
My boyfriend and I visited Banff and decided to try Nourish Bistro after hearing all the hype. We found that the prices were quite high (but all of Banff is expensive). What we ended up getting was the Nacho's with the $6 size-upgrade. It was a really good amount for the two of us (and we eat a lot). I think that would be the cheapest, most filling option for two people. The nachos were so unique though. There was a delicious dairy-free cheese sauce (that we had to specify as vegan) and I believe it said 27 other toppings. There were even fruits. It was such a weird combination of food, but somehow it all tasted amazing.

Unique dishes but very "nourishing" - Edit
They have a TONNE of vegan options and is situated a little bit out of the hustle and bustle of the Banff main street. The food wasn't quite worth the money it cost but was still pretty good and I'd probably go back again to try something different. I had the "let-us-rap" and it was an interesting combination of flavours. Didn't hate it but probably would order something different if I went back.

Unexpected find, great cheesecake - Edit
I visited Banff in June 2017 and wasn't expecting to find much in the way of vegan delights. This place even has vegan poutine, although I wasn't a big fan as the potatoes were undercooked. Varied menu and friendly staff happy to make recommendations. I absolutely loved the vegan cheesecake, worth a visit for that alone! I rejigged my travel plans to return for a second visit.

Two really enjoyable meals - Edit
We were concerned that we may struggle to find good plant based food in Canada. We need not have worried about it, in Banff anyway. Nourish Bistro was highly recommended by the hotel. The restaurant just does vegetarian and vegan dishes. We had a big menu choice. We enjoyed our meal so much that we came back again the second night of our stay. The first evening we shared bean burrito and a noodle dishes. I'm glad we opted to share as I preferred the bean burrito which my wife had chosen! The noodle dish had a coconut base and was a little bit too sweet for my taste. The second evening we shared burrito and portobello mushroom fajitas ~ both dishes were delightful and I would highly recommend either or both. Overall Excellent food and friendly service. Also a great selection of drinks including locally brewed craft beers and cocktails.

I came again the next night to order a main (rice noodles in coconut peanut sauce). Was absolutely delicious and I am wondering why there are so many bad reviews here.

I agree overrated - Edit
Veggie restaurant with vegan options. However you have to make sure to ask for the vegan options. We enjoyed our two choices but none had an amazing pop to be super tasty. The fake cheese sauce on the nachos was good, on the mac and cheese it was good too but a bit more like curry sauce. I know it's Banff but super expensive for what you get. I agree with the meh reviews. However we did want to support a vegetarian business.

Lovely food - Edit
As vegans from Oregon our Canadian cousins told us we would starve in Alberta. I'm so glad that they were wrong. Nourish in Banff was a wonderful surprise. It was a wait for the food but when it arrived it was clear that the chef put his heart into it, lovely presentation and lovely flavors.

Poor .... and best avoided. - Edit
My daughter and I stopped here for dinner yesterday. I ordered the Thai curry dish. Quite possible one of the worst "Thai" dishes I've ever tried to eat. An oily watery broth with no real flavour at all, a few overcooked vegetable bits and four small pieces of fried plain tofu. Oh and a small bowl of under cooked and gritty cheap basmati rice. All yours for the princely sum of $24.00 plus tax. Oh and you have to pay extra for the protein part of the meal!
Read moreMy daughter ordered the mushroom ravioli, which arrived partly raw and uncooked! She felt quite queasy after tasting it - perhaps because just a few minutes before she'd returned open mouthed from the washroom which she'd described as filthy and "disgusting" with no soap to wash her hands with!
We called over the manager, who initially attempted to assure us that he knew better than we did and that the food was fine. I did find this somewhat amusing at first - I have been a strict vegan/vegetarian much longer than the young man in question has been alive, and have worked for the same amount of time in the organic food industry (nearly 45 years!).
Funnily enough the resto had a superb wine list - one of the best I have seen for organic vegan options (in Canada)!! Of course the prices were just ridiculous ..
Such a shame that I cannot recommend the only
'real" vege resto in Banff. This place is simply not deserving of your time, money or taste buds. Avoid at all costs!
Pros: Good Wine List!
Cons: Terrible food!, Dirty facilities and disgusting washrooms!, I'd give it one star if I could!

Vegan Heaven - Edit
My husband and I were quite surprised to find a fully vegetarian restaurant with TONS of vegan options. Really cool atmosphere and great staff. The staff was very knowledgeable and catered to the vegan options; they really get you excited about the menu as they seem to have a lot of passion for the food. My husband and I had the Mac and Squeeze with potato Gnocchi, the King Kong noodles with tofu, Poutine, and 3 hangover smoothies (best smoothie I've ever had.) The food was amazing and we will definitely go back! Highly recommend.

Meh indeed - Edit
Since this place has good reviews overall I was hoping the review just before this one was a one-time experience. Unfortunately, "meh" is exactly what this place was for us.
Read moreI really wanted to like it because I want to support full veggie restaurants, especially in towns like this. However... Both the food and drinks are very overpriced for what you get. I ordered a $7.50 ginger soda and got some watered down stuff that perhaps remotely tasted like ginger. As for the "porto fajitas", it was pretty hard work to find roughly 1.5 regular mushroom in it - no portobello to be found anywhere. The vegan "cheeze sauce" tasted more like curry. The staff seem to be very pro-active though, as they will ask you what you think of the food before you have even had a chance to take a bite and also take away your plate before you are fully finished if you are not careful.
The only reason for me to go back would be to support the fact that they are a vegetarian restaurant.
Pros: Full veggie
Cons: Overpriced, Food not very tasty

Meh - Edit
Just had dinner here last night. We ordered the kale salad, the brussels sprouts, and the curry hot pot. The first two were passable; the curry was really subpar. It tasted watered down and very weak. The so called "naan" was three tiny pieces of white bread. All food seems to lack vegan protein by design, so you feel like you have to fork over another $6 to add tofu to your order, which in our case was three small slices of soft tofu that were unseasoned and pretty much tasteless. What a rip-off!
Read moreYou're being price-gouged by eating here because they know they're the only game in town. The food was average at best and overpriced for the quality, even for Banff. Charging $24 for that wishy-washy yellow sauce they call curry with some filler veggies and tofu thrown in is egregious.
This place is somewhere between 2 and 3, I rated down because I can't really think of one thing that I'd come back for.
Cons: mediocre food, pricey
