Only veg restaurant in Banff, but underwhelming - Edit
This is the only vegetarian restaurant in Banff and almost everything can be made vegan. My high expectations were not met. The poutine and wild mushroom ravioli were pretty good, but underwhelming. The portions are really small and not shareable in my opinion. Expensive too. I would still come back though.

Great find in Banff - Edit
Great selection of vegan dishes, we just had a bowl of chick pea soup and tea. They have several herbal teas. They have an alcohol bar and sit down tables.

Wanted a decent veggie burger after feeling disappointed by Eddies the night before.

Well done for actually seasoning your fries! The red pepper aioli was nice too.

Nice dinner - Edit
Had the vegan ravioli, corn chowder with bread, and a salad for non fussy people.
Read moreThis is the first ravioli I've had in years. It was very nice!
The salad had literally everything except the kitchen sink in it, and was fantastic!
The guava sour beer is to die for!
We also had great service...
We are going back again Wednesday for the beer burgers (and more beer).

Nourish your belly ! - Edit
I stopped here at a hike in Kootenay NP, on my way back to Calgary. It was the best decision I made the whole week I visited Alberta. All menu items can be made vegan. I had the mushroom ravioli and it was absolutely delightful.

Get yourself to Nan's!! - Edit
This is hands down one of my favorite vegan restaurants in the world, literally. Nan's is an unassuming storefront that I stumbled upon trying to find a quick place to grab dinner after landing into Calgary and continuing on to Banff. As someone who has been vegetarian for almost 30 years and vegan for 3, I'm always looking for vegan cuisine from different cultures. I've been searching for authentic pho for years now and have finally found it. The pho, ramen, and dan dan noodles had an exquisite, complicated flavor profile, but not only that...they make their own vegan pork belly! It was INSANE how good it was.
Read moreAdditionally, the two people working as both front of house and cooks were kind, friendly, and dedicated to their craft. Absolutely forgo any plans for any other vegan restaurants in Calgary and get yourself to Nans!
Pros: Incredible flavor profile, Home made vegan PORK BELLY, Reasonably priced
Cons: That I don't live near Nan's

Delicious vegan food - Edit
We ate there twice during our stay in Banff and it was absolutely delicious. The dishes are creative and everything can be made vegan. We had the mushroom ravioli (so good!), Kimchi burger, Mac and cheese and the Ramen. Everything was amazing. The service was really great the second time around but not so much in our first time (the manager was super stressed about the shade and was stressing us out...). Either way I would highly recommend this place for delicious vegan food if you're visiting Banff.

Greatest option in a meaty place! - Edit
Tried the vegan brunch - available all week. Chickpea omelette was good but chickpeas not thoroughly puréed so I has some chickpeas with my omelette. Avo toast was outstanding. Went back for dinner and it was even better. Shouyou Ramen was amazing. Prices were fair and staff very friendly and helpful.

Excellent food experience - Edit
All dishes can be made vegan. So delicious! (My flash pictures don't do the food justice). I got Five Mushroom Gnocchi with roasted garlic lavender cream sauce. They topped it with raw arugula & a ripe strawberry, sounds weird but it was really good. He got King Kong noodles plus kimchee. It had a curry peanut coconut broth plus bok choy, bean sprouts, etc. They adjusted for my nut allergy by offering me gnocchi instead of the cashew cheese ravioli on the menu. Their cream sauce was heavenly, oatmilk based

There are not a lot of good vegan options in this area, this place however was terrific! I had the beet root bruschetta and ravioli and both were really good.

Nacho Average Nachos😋 - Edit
I got takeout after a day of hiking/ canoeing in Banff and I’ve gotta say when I saw the words queso, strawberries, quinoa, and pickles as just some of the ingredients on the nachos and I was a little hesitant tbh. BUT then I was mostly just curious and had to give it a go. Let me tell you….I am SO HAPPY I did! The nachos were a flavor explosion- salty, sweet, nutty, vinergary, crunchy, etc. I think these are magic nachos because I have never seen such random foods paired so well together. To top it off the house made vegan queso is really good and pulls everything together. If you’re wondering whether you should get these nachos like I did… RUN don’t walk and get yours today😋🥑🍓🍊

Outstanding food, all of which could be made vegan. Good portion sizes. Indoor and outdoor seating. Helpful staff.

Always delicious - Edit
This is definitely one of my favourite restaurants. I’ve been here multiple times and everything I’ve tried has always left me super impressed! on this visit husband and I went for brunch and I tried the smashed avo. Super good! Honestly, my only complaint is that they don’t have a location in Calgary.

Very well seasoned - Edit
Went during a birthday trip to Banff and was pleasantly surprised by the food. We got the vegan nachos, chicktan and waffles, and kimchi burger with vegan poutine. All delicious, the nachos were the table favorite. We thought thought the seitan for the chicktan dish could use more seasoning but together with the other items was delicious. The vegan poutine was wonderful. We are only here for a short trip but may be back again.
