You MUST eat here if you're in Banff - Edit
I first ate at Nourish 3 years ago back in December 2021, and I knew I had to come back again! This place is truly a hidden gem. It's located in the heart of downtown Banff, and it feels like you've stepped into a cozy hallmark movie. The restaurant itself is fully vegetarian but they are able to make every dish vegan. You MUST get their mushroom ravioli and Boss Bear burger (the burger patty is such a vivid red color you'd think you were actually eating meat!). Their menu is centered around hearty comfort foods. Service is very quick and efficient, even on busy nights. The waiters are all very friendly and chatty with the patrons. There are lots of international staff and patrons. It's a bit on the pricier side but that's to be expected in Banff.

BEST vegan in Banff - Edit
I can't believe it took me so long to discover this place! Second time here today, it's AMAZING! So tasty!!! The menu is basically 99% vegan, with a few exceptions for egg dishes, which can all be replaced with chickpea "eggs"!

So good! - Edit
I wanted a light lunch but failed spectacularly because the menu here had so many enticing options and of course if I order poutine my partner is going to want to share it.
Read moreSo we had the poutine (tasty, satisfying, if a bit on the fancy side), mushroom ravioli (surprisingly good, despite strawberries and lavender sauce) and Chinese BBQ tempeh lettuce wraps (outstanding!). It was a lot of food but so good!
And it seemed like very good value to us (though we're used to Amsterdam NL prices).

Fairly good - Edit
I had the noodle bowl with tofu and my partner had the veggie burger; I liked his better, but mine was definitely healthier with so many veggies. It was over $70 for 2 entrees (no beverages) for lunch, which seemed pricey but probably isn’t for the area.

Yummy and inventive! - Edit
It is pricey, but everything in Banff is. Great vegan options and unusual flavor combinations that really work. Loved the atmosphere, people were super nice. I veganized the mushroom ravioli main dish and the sauce was delicious.

Delicious food but so expensive - Edit
I had the King Kong Noodles and added tofu. They were delicious. But this place is just so expensive, even for Banff. You could eat at a ‘fancier’ restaurant for cheaper. I wouldn’t come here often simply because I can get good food at better prices elsewhere. Service was very slow too, it took me over an hour start to finish to order and eat my main just dining there by myself and the restaurant wasn’t very busy as it was mid-afternoon.

We have been vegans for 31 years and eaten all over Europe, Canada, and the USA. Food was excellent, choices were numerous, venue relaxing (street noise minimal), service excellent, large portions

Best Vegan Food in Banff - Edit
We thoroughly enjoyed our time at Nourish Bistro. Great food and drinks, my girlfriend absolutely loved her Kyoto Sunrise cocktail, the beer I got was good but was just a canned beer, and we really liked the Mushroom Ravioli, Gyoza, and Shoyu Ramen. I can’t say I was a huge fan of the poutine, but maybe poutine just isn’t my thing, and I wish it wasn’t so expensive to add tofu to something like the Shoyu Ramen. Also worth noting that, as with many establishments, Nourish Bistro is so close to being fully vegan, I really wish they would just make that change.

Best vegan option in Banff - Edit
We came here twice when we were in Banff. The atmosphere was great, full all the time, the wait for a table was worth it. There was plenty of choice and everything we tried tasted fab. They also had a good selection of local wines and beers which we enjoyed too. Highly recommended.

Great Vegan Options - Edit
The menu had many Vegan options. Had their Veggie Burger and the Wild Mushroom Ravioli. Served quickly with a smile and very tasty and satisfying. Veggie Patty was a homemade concoction with a nice texture and flavor. The Ravioli was tender and full of mushrooms both inside and in the wonderful "cream" sauce. It was a vacation visit, but would visit often if we were locals.

Best meal we’ve had in Canada - Edit
We chose this vegetarian bistro from their menu options and we are so grateful we did. We were a group of two vegans and two vegetarians. The vegans ate the Let Us Wrap with tempeh. My husband said it was his best meal in Canada to date. Two of us had the King Kong Noodles which is thin vermicelli rice noodles and vegetables in a delicious coconut-chilli-peanut broth, topped with bean sprouts, mixed nuts, mandarins, sesame seeds and coconut. It had the right amount of heat and was extremely flavorful. Our daughter had the Shoyu Ramen and didn’t was delicious. The server was great and we wish we could this place 5 stars.

Always appreciate a fully vegan drink list- especially where caesars and shafts are concerned! Chickpea omelette was quite fluffy- more like a savory pancake, and was VERY filling!

Good, could've been outstanding. - Edit
I ordered the Mushroom Ravioli. The sauce, veggies, and filling were all exceptional. Unfortunately the pasta itself seemed undercooked (not just "al dente"), which brought the meal down quite a bit. Still, great atmosphere, friendly service, and apparently the only dedicated veg/vegan restaurant in Banff. I would go again, but would make a note to cook the ravioli thoroughly, because other than that it was a fantastic dish.

Every dish we tried was so good. Most of the menu can be made vegan and the dishes were large and filling. They have awesome cocktails made with high end spirits - our favorite was the Dark Matter!

We’ve tried several different dishes here and it’s all delicious. The Trio dips were good, the ravioli is good, the soups have great flavours that pop in your mouth. Only downside I would say is the price. It’s expensive but your also in Banff so expect it to be pricy

I think it’s great to have a vegetarian place in Banff and I’ve been to Nourish Bistro every time I come.
Read moreIt’s a really cozy place with great decor. I always remember the tree wt the entrance 🌳 I’ve had some okay food here, but really like that everything can be made vegan.
This time we shared the Bear Burger and the Beetroot bruschetta. The “bruschetta” which I really wouldn’t call it that, was really good. Sad it was only 2 pieces for 14$ ☹️
The burger lacked flavour completely all I tasted was the pickle that was on it. The fries were good but inconsistently seasoned and the sauce with them looked like it had flavour but really just tasted like mayo.
We didn’t order much considering how pricey everything was, plus kind of disappointed.
