95% vegan restaurant

It's a nice and spacious inside, located outside the centre of Leuven, good parking nearby (Parking Vaartkom, Engels Plein 32, 3000 Leuven) nice staff and good food.

It is a almost vegan food buffet and you pay per weight.

During our last visit to Noordoever we were very positively surprised with the 95% vegan food!

The balance vegan vs vegetarian used to be like 30-40% vegan and 60-70% vegetarian, towards 85-90% vegan and 10-15% vegetarian a few months ago.

It is today 95% vegan.

During our last visit they just proposed normal milk with the coffee besides 3 plant based milks, 1 vegetarian dish with feta (attention the indication was missing) and vegetarian brownie, all the rest was vegan.

The vegan food buffet is also something that changes very regularly and really providing a great discovery of new taste at each visit.

Great progress of this restaurant, nice place and great experience.

So Yummy!

I was incredibly pleased with this place. The atmosphere is lovely, the food was high quality with great variety, the staff was sweet, helpful and spoke great english. The only catch is that it can be quite expensive (Easily 20 euros for your meal) so maybe this spot is for special occasions only.

Pros: Delicious , High Quality, Friendly Staff

Cons: Expensive

I would go here again

I was expecting the buffet to be mostly vegetarian with some vegan options, but is was mostly vegan with maybe one or two vegetarian dishes. The ingredients and allergens were clearly listed so that made it very easy. I really liked the food and can't wait to eat there again!

Really tasty but really pricey!

The food was amazing, the energy of the place really good, but it was really expensive for us (75 euros for 2). If it was closer to the center we would have been there again.

Pros: Many vegan options, Really good quality, Great energy

Cons: Not fully vegan, Expensive, Not so close to the center

Nice lunch in a spacious and bright setting

Vegetarian restaurant with buffet (most of it is vegan, and vegan dishes are clearly indicated).
Not all you can eat but pay per weight. A bit on the expensive side.
Vegan dessert options, vegan icecream!
Nice decor, spacious, clean.
Overall: we loved it!

Vegan heaven

I am in love with this place. Fresh and organic food in a cosy industrial interior.
I love the fact you can chose your food and combine your favorites on one plate.
The food looks and tastes fresh, healthy and changes very often.

And not to forget the cappuccino with oats milk is just delicious.

Enjoyed the variety

We ate lunch here today and enjoyed the different tastes in the different dishes at the buffet. The ingredients definitely feel like quality, the food was not greasy, and I felt good afterwards too, even with my sensitive stomach. We liked the decor and neighborhood as well. Which ones of the dishes were vegan, was clearly indicated. There were some nice deserts as well.

Pros: Great tasting food, Quality ingredients, Vegan options clearly indicated

Cons: A bit from the city center, though still walkable.

lovely food

I went to Noordoever when it had just opened its doors and, indeed, by the time we sat down to eat, the food had gone cold. But it was all so so tasty. I went back last week and they've changed their approach (you open an account, get your food, eat it and pay when you've finished) so it has improved. The food wasn't hot but still warm enough. And super tasty!

Tasty but cold

I was very happy to hear about this buffet restaurant. Leuven still didn't have something like that.
The range of choice is good, and the food is how I like it:balanced, seasoned well and a mix of world cuisines. And the taste was as good as expected.

It is not cheap though: with a good plate of food (you pay by weight), you'll end up with 15 euro's more or less. A price I'm happy to pay, for warm food. But the lamps to heat the 'hot' dishes are inadequate or the waiting line is too long, in every case, the three times I've been there (and friends as well) the food was quite cold.

Since it's quite new, the place still attracts enough diners, but I think that will deminish if this problem is not adressed. That would be a real shame.

Pros: Choose your own, Tasty, Biological

Cons: Warm food is not warm, Expensive
