Hearty portions, friendly staff - Edit
Delicious vegan meal (Tofu fish and chips, and mushroom and 'bacon' gnocchi) with generous portions. We arrived 20 minutes before closing but staff were more than happy to accommodate. Great prices, including on the big selection of vegan wines.

Vegan but plain - Edit
This place is great for drinks, the hot choc is awesome and the coffee tasted great. My pasty was very average no flavour, my sister's food could have been a little bigger for the price. My friends buddha bowl wad very plain with only a cooked veggie bit and salad with rice. We felt the food could have all been better. Not worth the price in pur opinion for food. Drinks were a success but i wish i bought food from ezy vegan in town instead.

Great vegan cafe, busy street so parking may be an issue, but car parks near. - Edit
Found this cafe in my endeavour to eat more plant-based. It's a clean and modern cafe where the staff were really helpful. I just wanted a quick take away so I asked for perhaps some curry and chips, that wasn't on the menu that day but they said, 'how about a chicken burger or some barbeque spicy ribs', I had to just double check and ask and they reassuringly confirmed it was all vegan.
Read moreI went for the vegan ribs, and it came with coleslaw, not being a fan of coleslaw I was disappointed at first but I tried it and it wasn't bad, it certainly didn't make me feel sick after eating it like regular cs, probably as a result of it being vegan. The rib, however, was different to anything I had tasted before but I enjoyed. Almost like a donor kebab texture, without it being an animal obviously, I'm not sure if it was soy or perhaps tofu. The sauce was very nice as well, was really happy with the service and the food. Will be going back another time if I'm in the area
Parking may be an issue as its a busy street but I'm sure there are car parks located fairly near.

Brilliant Vegan Food - great for non-vegans too! - Edit
So thankful this place exists in Swansea. Delicious food, with a great menu for vegans and non-vegans alike. Healthy options available as well as veganized dishes like Tofish and Chips, Fib rolls, Non-chicken burger, Vegan breakfast with scrambled tofu, toasties and more. The desserts are to die for, try the brownie with peanut butter ice-cream and your life will never be the same again! One of the best things about coming here, aside from the great food, is the friendly welcome and good conversation. I go as much as I can, for coffee and cake or full blown lunch blow out. It's always worth it and I'd rather spend my ££s here than anywhere else in Swansea.

Friendly owner and great food - Edit
I have been going to Canteen 18 since Fliss (the owner) opened last year. She is fully committed to producing great vegan food. There is a wide range of food available from breakfasts to lunches and occasional special evening sessions. The Christmas meal was outstanding. Fliss bakes her own cakes and bread and I’m sure pretty much everything else is produced by her. Except the excellent ice cream ( try peanut butter ice cream). She also has a stock of vegan essentials and bags. A nice ambience in the restaurant and a very friendly host.

Fantastic vegan cafe! - Edit
We love Canteen 18. Great menu and lovely staff. Service is excellent. Love the decor and we bought a couple of things from the little shop area as well. I really like that the shopping bags are made from organic cotton. They stock Ice Green ice cream which is my favourite ice cream ever! Definitely worth a visit!

Great selection - Edit
This cute vegan café is a lovely place for lunch. There was a wide selection of foods - between a group of us we had a falafel wrap, spicy "ribs", a zen plate (like mezze with falafel and houmous) and a sausage roll and all were really nice. There were chocolate brownies and ice cream for dessert as well as a Monster Milkshake! Definitely recommend for a nice lunch.
