NO NACHOS !?!?! - Edit
The food was ok tasted like most of the sauces came from a can. The carnitas and bulgogi meat was fire. I came here only for the nachos and they don’t have them unfortunately I hope they have them again good food if your in the area not worth a trip
Read morePros: Ok Mexican food , Has bomb bulgogi meat , Carnitas are also great

Very good chili relleno. Habanero salsa very hot (which is a good thing). They do have Avo slices, order on the side.

Nachos are Fuegooo 🔥 - Edit
The cheese just melts in your mouth, which is rare for vegan cheese! Be sure to make it combo though, you’ll thank me later 😉 we got the Carnitas meat (gluten free) which had a great consistency and were not super greasy like other pho meats I’ve had. Their fresh salsas are worth trying too 🙌🏼

Soo goood!!! - Edit
Seriously soo good! I’m not even mad that they don’t have avocado. Highly suggest getting your burrito wet - the sauces are so good!! The el pastor and the chicken mole are my fave. Also options for no vegan meat, just rice, beans, veg, etc. Great tex mex option, instead of just fancy vegan Mexican style food that is so typically seen (you know the ones - with the fermented beans and sprouted rice and micro greens...delicious, but not always the desired flavor profile).
Read moreThe only bad thing I have to say about this place (why I didn’t give 5 stars) is that they’re still using disposable in house and it includes plastic. This is all around disappointing, dated, and not very vegan, in my opinion, since all that waste is killing the planet and the animals that live on it. Hopefully they can work on this and fix it in the future. Bring your own utensils! They use plastic. I didn’t try to have them use my containers, I’m not sure if that’s even possible in LA with the health department.
Pros: 100% vegan , 100% delicious , Get your burrito WET (if you’re into that)
Cons: No reusable dishes, cups, utensils , Still using plastic in 2019 (come on...)

Really small and little options but oh so good. I got the wet burrito, a little too wet haha. Got stuffed from half of it. My boyfriend got the tacos. Loved them.

So. Freaking. Good.
Read moreI have been here several times and each time has been amazing! I am officially addicted to their wet burritos.
I have yet to find my favorite. Working my way through all of the "meat" options and so far I think mole pollo is at the top of the list.
Got a piece of carrot cake once and it was great as well.
Street parking can be tough sometimes but there is a public lot on the other side of the car wash that seems to always have spots.
On my most recent trip they had Portishead playing. This has nothing to do with the food but I need to point out their badass music taste as just another reason to give this place your money.
Mad props to the Doomies crew for opening this little spot in the hood. Vegan food for the people!
Pros: Amazing food, Delicious food, Big portions

Awesome Mexican food - Edit
This place was right around the corner from my Airbnb and was the first place I tried after landing in the US. It’s right next door to the other Doomies restaurant and a vegan ice cream place.
Read moreI ordered the wet burrito with mole which was huge! The mole was interesting, something I hadn’t tried before. The burrito itself had fake chicken inside which was delicious.
You order on an iPad which I thought was kinda cool

LA vegan Mexican w zero avocados? - Edit
So happy that Next Mex exists but they sort of miss the mark for both Mexican food and LA vegan food by not including avocado or guacamole on anything (everything!). Portions are big. They offer soda or water. Bring your own flatware and cutlery if you care about the Earth. Everything is served on disposable, which for plates and take-home/delivery containers is unbleached paper products (wish they had real dine-in plates to lessen tree waste), but the water cups, cutlery and condiment cups are petroleum plastic and even though CA state banned plastic bags, they still use them for take-home and more worryingly, food-delivery, which is huge business for LA restaurants.

Cheap - Edit
Taco shells are the ones you can get at the dollar store, 6 to a pack. Why make a restaurant that serves the lowest quality food? It's not like the prices are so cheap. It feels like there is no cooking taking place in that kitchen, everything is premade frozen junk that they prepare for you. Don't waste your money on this place, you can find much better vegan Mexican food.

Chicken mole is out of this world! - Edit
I visited this place, which is cousin to Doomie's in Hollywood, for the first time today and I was blown away. I got the three tacos plate with chicken mole. It's been a while since I've had mole, but Doomie's NextMex took me back to my pre-vegan days with their delicious, no DELICIOUS, mole. What a gem of a restaurant. I'm looking forward to the next time I visit. I will be sure to get one of the tasty-looking chocolate cakes. I highly recommend this place.

Mexican vegan - Edit
I got the mole nachos, which were pretty good. Too much of the mole “meat” but the chips, “cheese,” “sour cream,” and Pico were good. They give huge portions so you won’t leave hungry that’s for sure. There’s nobody attending the front counter. You look over the menu and place your order, then they let you know when it’s ready. I will probably get food from here again but it will be take out cause the dine in experience wasn’t anything to write home about.

It’s making me fat - Edit
I love this place. The food is cheap and the portions are huge. The fake meat they use (I think it’s made in house) is amazing and you get 8 distinct options to choose from. The desserts are huge and rich too.

Carnitas - Edit
I went with my non-veg sister and we both couldn’t believe that the carnitas were vegan! The only thing I didn’t really like was the tortillas seemed to be microwaved. Other than that the food was good.

10/10 would come again - Edit
I’ve been craving legit Mexican food for YEARS and this place exceeded my expectations. It’s not a frilly “healthy” place like gracias madre, it’s authentic. The mole sauce on the chicken plate was fantastic, everything I remember traditional mole to be. The hubs tried the wet burrito/ chimichanga, which was wild. The deep fried a giant burrito and slathered it in sauce- he loved it! Can’t wait to come back

Easily the worst Mexican food I have ever had. - Edit
The worst Mexican food and worst vegan restaurant I’ve ever been too. The food was unbelievably over salted, mushy and sugary. They had no vegetables available for the food unless you consider wilted sparse lettuce and mushy tomatoes “vegetables”. Once again, mush upon mush upon salty mush. I regret few things in life but this is one of them. Yes this is a super harsh review. I really wanted better for vegan Mexican food in LA but it looks like I’m gonna have to continue to risk it with Baja Fresh and chipotle because they actually have vegetables on the menu.
