Had the potato ball at vegandale - not as good as the one I had in Bolivia but not bad

When I eat out, especially for these sorts of prices, I expect to experience something I couldn’t make at home (failing that, something at least as good as I could make).

USD $21, plus tax, for a plate with a huge pile of rice in the centre; on one side, fried mushrooms that tasted of little else but salt; on the other side, what appeared to be a heated pile of black beans from the can.

This struck me as the kind of place where the owners are cashing in on the transient vegan trade, employing unqualified people for very low wages without any cooking experience who are paid too little to care and the food.
