Fully vegan, good range of choice. I had the Hulk piadina, which was delicious! There is a small fountain nearby with benches around it, as well as the lakeside, where you can sit to enjoy your meal.

Best vegan food in Lugano - Edit
This is hands down the best vegan food in Lugano. I go often for the vegan kebab and they even have the option to make it gluten free. They also have an extensive vegan pizza menu, salads, pastries, and coffee drinks. Not a sit down place, more grab and go, but there are great parks nearby for a nice outdoor meal. Great variety, kind staff, and fair prices.

I checked the opening hours on their website and they seem to be closing at 18:00 so I went in and talked to the owners and arranged to collect three pieces of pizza at 17:30 after an afternoon visiting the sites.

Worth going out of your way for - Edit
Absolutely superb! I was a disappointed to turn up for dinner to find it closes at 6 off-season but managed to get there the next day. There is a huge menu but no common language between myself and the woman working meant I had to just point to prepared options because I did not understand how to order other options. It was all amazing though - especially the biscotto fondente!

When I wanted to visit Natural Food in the early evening, it was closed even though it was meant to be open (the opening times in the shop window are the same as those published here on Happy Cow). I found this quite annoying, but got some food there the next afternoon anyway because I just happened to walk past. And the food is really good! I had one of their foccacce (Trentina) and it was really special and hearty, with mushrooms, vegan cheese and mayo, and a smoky cold cut. I’m not a huge fan of meat and cheese alternatives, but the products they use are delicious.
Read moreThey offer a huge variety of pizza, focaccia and panini, and also cornetti and other sweet options, coffee and smoothies. Everything is vegan. It’s a take-away place. The food prices are very reasonable for Switzerland (e.g. 9 CHF for a huge and filling focaccia).

had a veggie burger, some “falafel”, and a small salad. burger was like cardboard, and falafel had to be from a store (very processed, cardboard taste, not like falafel at all). Plus they use single-use plastic fpr everything!

This place is a MUST! Amazing vegan selection, super friendly staff and very reasonably priced. The only downside is there’s no seating, but on a sunny day it’s perfect to take to the lake. We tried the VIP Kebab, Foccacia and Pizza. The kebab and focaccia were our favorites, not to mention the ice cream sandwiches (which are all vegan!).

Small takeaway shop with a HUGE menu! Had a burger which was absolutely delicious, the staff were so so friendly and helped to translate the menu into English. They even gave me a free vegan croissant! And they take card :) 10/10
