Good food, acceptable service, clean - Edit
It is a "fast" food place so don't expect great food, but for what it is they do a good job. I've eaten here twice this week while on a business trip and the food was consistently good and the service consistently ok.

It is like a fast food but vegan - Edit
A fast food venue with a plenty of vegan options. It reminds me of Veggie Grill.
Read moreI tried two burgers (cheeseburger and seasonal jalapeño burger) and buffalo cauliflower which were really good. but a little small. Also the beverages (teas and lemonades) I tried was very good.
The only thing I did not like about this place was the deco. The restaurant seemed to be very old and not really clean.
Pros: very tasty food
Cons: a bit pricey for the size of the portions, old and not very clean

Veggie grill - but better - Edit
The food came out super fast but still tasted really good. The chicken was so realistic I almost freaked out!! The ranch was the best thing I've ever tasted and I normally hate ranch so I have no idea what went on there. The small portion of nachos is HUGE too for only $6.50, although the cheese wasn't the best in the world. Even free wifi!!

Not bad - Edit
We have stopped in before and always have an ok lunch. I got pad Thai today, it was spicy and a little too sweet... yet good enough I finished it without problem. I also got a new cookie/brownie that feels heavy on oil but is pretty good.

Delicious food with varied menu. - Edit
Welcoming restaurant environment with quick service and tasty food. It seems a little pricey for casual dining but the quality of the food is worth it.
Read moreI also appreciated several little things - no straws, help yourself paper carry out boxes and the option to buy a cookie and donate the proceeds to a charity.

Dissapointing! - Edit
I have been a Native Foods customer for over 20 years. Their original location in Palm Desert, CA was my favorite restaurant growing up. Sadly, when I moved away for college, I moved to an area without a Native Foods.
Read moreI recently relocated to Chicago and was excited to come back to the restaurant. Unfortunately, the food has really become mediocre and the staff at this particular location is rude. I also contacted corporate about a particularly bad experience and their response was indifferent. As they are 100% vegan and convenient, I think they are still worth going to if nearby and/or pressed for time. However, I wouldn’t say they are go to place, especially with more and more vegan offerings popping up around the loop.

Fantastic Menu! - Edit
I know Native Foods from Southern California, and was so happy to find that they are also in Chicago! Stopped here for a business lunch and enjoyed the Soul Bowl. The only drawback was having to choose from so many delicious-sounding items! I would definitely come back here.

One of the best - Edit
They never disappoint me. They have fresh creative menu with many categories for every taste which changes. This time I tried their Portobello Jibarito which is a must try for everyone. They use plantain bread which almost resembles pita bread but better which also make it gf. Another must try item is Thai Chili Brussels Sprouts which I had never had anything like it. They are whole Brussels Sprouts crispy on the outside with sweat & tangy flavor.

Really enjoyed the food and the selection is great. Staff weren’t too friendly or open to helping navigate the menu- it’s quite a casual place but great to grab a bite.

Creative & Delicious - Edit
One of the most creative selections of vegan food (both as to types of taste and variety of types of dishes, sandwiches and deserts) I've ever eaten at. It's always a treat and I've yet to get bored. Unfortunately I've also been unable to pick a favorite because I always want to try something new. Good vibe too in the Wicker Park location which is where I actually ate.

Awesome! - Edit
While visiting Chicago I found Native Foods Cafe was 2 blocks from me thanks to Happy Cow! Food was absolutely delicious and extremely filling. Had the (Seitan) steak sandwich + Thai Chili Brussel Sprouts. The Brussel sprouts alone are worth flying to Chicago for! They also had sea salt dark chocolate brownies, which are amazing.
Read moreI was also amazed by how big the cafe is and how many people were there. It's nice to see a large vegan community. I only wish they had a location in Brooklyn, NY.

This is my first time here. I’ve been wanting to try this place since turning vegan. Unfortunately, I don’t have one where I live. I’m visiting Chicago and was excited when I saw this pop up on Happy Cow! I had the soul bowl which delicious and fulfilling! My husband ( who isn’t vegan, yet) has a burger and loved it! Can’t wait to try more, before we leave!

Hit or miss food, GREAT service - Edit
We had nachos (disappointing), chicken sandwich & fries (both AMAZING), kids mac & cheese (gross). Also tried chocolate cupcakes (great), blondies (great), sea salt caramel brownies (great), peanut butter cups (very meh) and chocolate-covered sea salt caramels (barely edible).

I was so happy to find out that this place was right downtown. There's a bit of construction going on there, so it may be easy to overlook (but they do have some signage outside). I had the chicken and avocado club - excellent, of course - and the peanut butter parfait (my new best friend in life!). This location offers chicken and waffles on the weekends only. I'll have to try this at my next visit.

This place is the best vegan place my husband and I have been to yet. The flavors of everything were off the charts good. The oatmeal cream pies were incredible. The variety of options was impressive and we ate at multiple locations. The lavender lemonade is so yummy. No complaints at all!

I was here a few weeks ago and had an AWESOME philly cheese steak. (I am 45 year philly native - I know cheesesteaks! Probably why I went plant based/vegan) My cousin who lives in chicago knows the owner of this specific spot and recommends it highly.
