Cool experience, bland food. - Edit
While the setting and experience is cool and if you wish to try okonomoyaki go for it, but this was absolutely flavourless. The sauce is nice but you’re eating a mass of food that tastes like nothing and has a thick layer of gummy substance due to the melted rice cake and dry noodles.

Pros: Cool experience in front of the cooks
Cons: Lacks any flavour

Worth the wait! | 並ぶけど最高! - Edit
A couple of minutes away from Genbaku Dome. They aren’t kidding with their sign saying 90 minutes wait. But so worth it! Here you can try Hiroshima-style Okonomiyaki, which has noodles and mochi in it (different from Osaka-style). They have both Vegan and Vegetarian options (even lacto-vegetarian) for both Okonomiyaki and side dishes like Gyoza. The Okonomiyaki was super garlicky and tasty with vegan condiments (okonomiyaki sauce, spicy sauce and even lemon Tabasco. Yes, lemon Tabasco). At least at table seats, you get your own clean Teppan (hot plate) in front of you so there’s no worry of cross contamination. Great place!

Pros: Authentic Hiroshima-style Okonomiyaki, Lively atmosphere , Clear vegan options
Cons: Long waiting time

Tasty gyozas and okonomiyaki. - Edit
Very authentic okonomiyaki restaurant next to Hiroshima memorial area with a nice and friendly atmosphere. They are very busy so you have to wait a bit but it is worth the time in my opinion.

I took the rice cake corn garlic chips green onion soba. Together with the sauces which are clearly labeled it tastes fantastic! Also had the gyozas as side dish which were very yummy too.

This place is very well known, so there will be a queue.
Read moreI did wait in line, and I think it was worth it.
I was seated at the main grill so I got the watch the cooks in action.
Both the vegan gyoza and the veggie/vegan soba okonomiyaki is great! Don't forgot to put the vegan sauce on it yourself. It's a little dry without.
Not the cheapest place, but for a reason.

Uninspired but okay vegan Okonomiyaki - Edit
The vegan okonomiyaki are okay, not bad but also not very good. It seems like the cook creating the vegan okonomiyaki was mainly thinking about what non vegan ingredients have to be removed to make a vegan okonomiyaki instead of thinking about how to substitute ingredients like eggs etc. with vegan alternatives. Also there is no vegan mayonnaise. You can get better vegan okonomiyaki in Osaka at OKO Okonomiyaki!
Read morePositive things to mention:
- The English menu with vegan labeled dishes.
- Good vegan gyoza
- different vegan sauces you can put on your okonomiyaki

Vegan okonomiyaki - Edit
This place is extremely popular with the locals and you can tell by the long line where people are waiting outside.

Got the vegan rice cake with garlic chips, corn, onions and soba and also vegan gyoza as a starter.
Everything is made in front of you which is amazing.

I suggest going early as possible to beat the crowd cause this place fills up very quickly!
Definitely recommend eating in just for the experience!
Pros: Good vegan versions of this popular Japanese dish, Very friendly and helpful staff, Reasonably priced for what you get

All in all, good experience and good food. Waiter was really helpful when I told him that I was vegan.
Note that they cook the vegan stuff on the same plate as meat and vegetarian food.

Nice single player experience - Edit
Sorry for the gaming reference in the title but I was solo and went to this place. Found the place relatively easy and saw the line. Had was only another group of 3 people outside. Signs made it easy to get into line. Did have ti wait 15 minutes since they must have hit a rush of people.
Read moreSo I think someone else mentioned to try and get there at a nice time. For me, around 5pm on a Friday I think.
While waiting, they brought out menus. I asked for the vegan options and they showed me. Was the a specific page while I didn’t get to yet. Ordered outside and eventually they brought me inside. They put me at the bar seating which I did ask for but just think they would have put me there anyways. Was very cool to see how they made everything. Got to see the orders come in and saw step by step how they made everyone’s food. Eventually they brought over my Vegan gyoza I ordered and at first was a little confused on the sauce to use since I wasn’t sure if the gyoza sauce was vegan but a worker happen to notice and point me in the right direction. Definitely appreciated.
Added a bunch of chili oil but wasn’t hot. Maybe my taste buds are just accustomed to spicy. But the gyoza sauce tasted nice.
Finished the gyoza and a little while after they brought the main food. They cleaned the area way before the gyoza for me and put the food right there. Then it I used the tool to cut up into 4 equal pieces and served myself.
Added the vegan sauce clearly labeled. Just yummm. Tasted really good with fresh ingredients and a nice entertainment watching everyone’s food being made.
If you were solo and have the opportunity, I highly recommend.
Pros: They catered to vegan , Go the extra mile to clean, Several options for vegan
Cons: Small bar table area, Want a spicy option

Great okonoyimaki and service! - Edit
I went at about 6 pm and only queued for 10/15 min. Staff took my order when I was close to the front of the queue. Because I was dining solo I got to sit at the counter and watch them make the okonoyimaki for the whole restaurant - amazing. This is my third okonoyimaki of my Japan trip and honestly the best one. It didn't seem to be missing anything despite being vegetarian and the vegan ones looked good too. I recommend getting soba rather than udon as your base!!

Nice to try vegan okonomiyaki! - Edit
We arrived at about 7pm and queued for around an hour to get in. The vegan okonomoyaki options aren’t the most exciting but they have both a normal and spicy vegan sauce to add and we also got vegan gyoza. On food alone it’d be 3 stars but rating 4 for ambience (you can see the food being prepped and have a hot grill in front of you to keep food warm) and being able to try a traditional dish veganised (my husband isn’t vegan so good to have a place that caters for multiple diets).
