Amazing Vegan Thai - Edit
Went with a couple of friends a few days ago and was thoroughly impressed with the selection! I’ve never had vegan thai food before so this was incredible for me. It took a really long time for our waiter to get to us, but once he came and we ordered, our food came out within 15 minutes. Our main course was brought to us before our appetizer which was kind of strange but regardless the food was amazing. Would definitely recommend the cake desserts as well!! Come here if you have a couple of hours to spare and make sure you’re veryyyyy hungry!
Read morePros: many options, amazing desserts, great bubble tea (and many flavors)
Cons: very long wait to place our order

very good though not amazing - Edit
The place, located on the second floor (US), is a very interesting and spacious spot. Staff are really kind and charming. Food selection is awesome, though the quality in the end I would call simply good. For vegans you should probably add another star. I like the options of veggie chicken, veggie beef, veggie seafood or tofu with most mains. Lunch specials are an awesome value. Cleanliness, I'd also rank as less than excellent but still ok. I'll be back there for sure.

I really enjoyed the Thai curries and soup. The staff were very sweet and the price was great. The atmosphere isn’t much but at the same time helps you concentrate on your company more which is a good thing

All Vegan Thai! - Edit
I love finding an all vegan restaurant when I’m traveling! I had the red curry with tofu, and Chinese leek dumplings. The food was tasty, and the staff quick & friendly. A great meal after a day of travel!

Extensive menu! - Edit
Don't be put off by the exterior and the dodgy looking stairs to reach this first floor restaurant. It really is worth it. There's an extensive menu with combinations of all sorts of faux meat. I really enjoyed it and it was busy over the lunch period while I was there. I would definitely visit again. The food was freshly cooked, nicely presented and was a really decent portion.

It’s okay. - Edit
In a city with more vegan options, I would never go here. But since Boston is really thin with vegan restaurants, it’s a pretty good option. Service is consistently terrible so just expect that. And if you’re going in the winter, it’s freezing inside.

creepy look - yummy food - Edit
Walking towards and into, really upstairs, this spot is off-putting and it's a bit dirty looking and cold but once you sit down and order all of that goes away. Their fake meat tastes amazing and everything was good!

not terrible but not good - Edit
I was expecting this to be a lot better because I’d been recommended it by several people. But it was only okay. It was reasonably priced and the portions were big but it wasn’t particularly tasty. The dumplings were delicious, but cold. The mains were extremely average. The cakes are nice. Overall is was okay but nothing compared to many other vegan restaurants I’ve been to.

Positive Experience - Edit
I've been living in Boston for a few years and I've enjoyed My Thai every time I've gone. It's a good price and a beautiful atmosphere. The food is good/fine, but I will say (yes) the service is pretty bad. Still give this place a thumbs up.

I eat there once, it was ok. The restaurant is on the second floor and offers a interesting view over the streets.

Decent - Edit
The restaurant is on top of their vegan sandwich place, which at first glance is a little confusing. You need to take the staircase next to the sandwich shop to get to the restaurant.
Read moreThe service is kind of slow. However, the food is pretty good. Some noodle dishes are kind of average, but the hot and sour soup is really good (if you can take the heat!), the golden triangles with the peanut sauce are AMAZING and the mock meats are good (the best one is the vegan shrimp!). Wouldn't recommend their boba tea, as the pearls were overcooked and the tea was too sweet.
I do wish they would clean the windows a bit and maybe replace the old furniture.

worst service - Edit
Ok I am just happy there is a vegan place downtown. That being , the food was just fine. I love love thai and know many better thai restaurants. But it's unique in that it has many soy/series meat substitutes. The main complaint is how bad the service was. We were ignored most of the night and had to find someone to pay and get water . I know this style service is customary in other cultures but it's just a little irritating.

Poor dining area and presentation, but amazing food! - Edit
I found this place by accident and from the outside it's definitely not appealing! I'm glad I went though cause the food was amazing. The staff was rude and the dining area is definitely poor, but if you want a good vegan Thai place, this is it.

Good food, rude staff - Edit
Not at all a pleasant dining experience. The staff are all rude, they don't know how to say thank you, they don't know how to smile or be gracious. The guy kind of lazily waved his hand in the direction of a table for me to sit. They don't ask how is everything after you start eating, they don't clear dirty plates at the end, they don't ask if you want anything else, but just bring the check. When I asked for a receipt that shows what I ordered, because it is required by my company expense report, the guy acted annoyed, wrote another order ticket, handed it to me, and when I said thank you so much, he just walked away without a thank you for coming or a your welcome, nothing.. In other words, the staff at this restaurant does not do any of the basic customer service steps that any restaurant staff would do. It's too bad; I have been here on past trips to Boston and I doubt I'll bother coming again. The food is good but not great, and the fresh spring rolls are awful.

Great food, but place needs a face lift! - Edit
Central location, I came past it by chance. The menu is extensive and the food was absolutely delightful. But both the dining area and the staircase up were cluttered with stuff and supplies, the floor was a little sticky, and although the service personell was very friendly, it was slow. I'm still giving 4 stars because of the choice and quality of the food itself - amazing! Great spot if you don't need anything fancy around your meal!

huge menu, great choices! - Edit
I love all of the options at My Thai. The menu is impressive and almost overwhelming at times. The lunch specials make the menu a bit more manageable. This isn't a gourmet Thai place, but if you're looking for big portions, decent taste, and a good price point, then this place is great. I also love their assortment of bubble tea shakes. They have interesting flavors such as durian and red bean which are sometimes hard to find. Taro is my go to favorite. I've brought many non-veg people here and they were all pleased. I also like the amount of light and all of the plants around the windows. The size of the restaurant is good for larger groups. Worth a try if you're in the Boston area, just don't expect a fancy night out.

Delicious! - Edit
I don't really understand all of the negative reviews that this place is getting, as I very much enjoyed my meal there. Yes, the restaurant is located on the second floor, and you have to walk up an odd set of stairs to get there, but once you arrive, you are greeted by big windows that let in lots of light, as well as an abundance of pretty plants. The menu is extensive, so there are a lot of options to choose from, and it is often difficult to decide. My meal, the ginger chicken, was very well portioned (I could barely finish all of it), and my boba tea was one of the best I have ever had. The service was a little slow for a Saturday afternoon, but all of the staff was very sweet.

Very good food - Edit
We were very excited about trying an ALL VEGAN restaurant in Chinatown on our visit to Boston.
Read moreThe food was VERY GOOD. We had the Basil Fried Rice, the Sweet&Sour and the Ginger Rice dishes. All very flavorful and the portions were huge. We also had 3 Bubble teas (Strawberry, Mango and Lychee--Our favorite). All very good and cold!!
The downside was that the restaurant wasn't very "clean" and could use a few touches to make the atmosphere more enjoyable. *I didn't care to see their whole pantry on my way to the bathroom. And their desert case was almost empty and sad-looking (even though we were there at noon).
Pros: Good prices, Good Flavors, Large Portions
Cons: Restaurant wasn't very "clean"

Average food. Bad Service. - Edit
I went there with a friend some time ago, and the service is just terrible. They just don't know how to deal properly with the clients, specially if they are vegan. We asked for some stir fried sorted vegetables and rice. The portions were kinda small when compared to most chinese restaurants, and the meal wasn't hot enough. Customer service need to improve a lot, the place is nice, but need more care.

Dissapointed - Edit
I Came here with a friend and we were coming here for our first time based on the reviews. Not only did we get terrible service, There were bugs crawling on the counter and the food was terrible. My Lo Mien Noodles were hard and Made my stomach hurt. When I told the waiter he just shrugged and walked away. My friend got the pineapple mango salad and there was no pineapple on his salad only really hard mango sticks... Of course we paid and left but to even get our check we had to wait 30 minutes for everyone else to be seated and for them to even notice us. Just a terrible first experience and terrible customer Service.

Lot's of choices - Edit
I get to Boston occasionally on business and have wanted to check this place out. Today I had lunch there.
Read moreThis second floor walk up is low on frills in terms of appearance, but I found the staff to be attentive and I was quickly seated. The menu is so much fun to read, it's huge with a lot of choices of typical Asian dishes that have been "veganized". I started with the Tom Yum Gai which was hot and sour and very tasty. I also enjoyed the spring Pao Pia Tod (fried spring rolls) which were crunchy and perfectly cooked. I finished up with the traditional Basil Chicken which also was very good. The ingredients are fresh and the preparation expert.
I recommend you walk up the scary steps and give this place a try. They are welcoming, the food is very good and the prices are quite reasonable.
Pros: Extensive menu., 100% Vegan, Inexpensive
Cons: Dated interior, Weird entrance.
