We found this place by accident and they have the most delicious salad with grilled tofu. We added avocado and it was absolutely delicious. This was one of my favorite lunches during our time in Vienna 💚

Lovely spiritual restaurant hidden in the heart of Vienna. Excellent vegan food inspired by the teachings of cult leader Sri Chinmoy. I wouldn’t buy the guys’ books but I’d definitely eat here again.

Read moreWe took the secret garden salad (very big plate with a tons of salad!) and the indian tal. I don't remember the plates of the first day. Anyway they were delicious. maybe the prices are a little high, but in line with the rest of the restaurants. For two dishes and water we spent 35 euros. The first day the gave me stll water in a bottle, the day after they gave me tap water (much better). I seldom give 5 star!!

Zur Vorspeise hatte ich eine leckere Linsensuppe und als Hauptgericht ein ayurvedisches Gemüsecurry – beide Gerichte waren hervorragend. Besonders beeindruckend ist der Garten bzw. die Terrasse im Innenhof des Gebäudes. Selbst bei heißen Temperaturen ist man dort gut geschützt und kann sehr entspannt im Schatten sitzen. Eine Oase bei der aktuellen Hitze. Die Bedienungen waren sehr freundlich und aufmerksam. Es gibt viele Plätze, sodass man immer einen schönen Sitzplatz findet. Ich komme gerne bei meinem nächsten Wien Besuch wieder.

Loved having lunch at My Secret Garden Cafe. It's a great quiet location directly next to a busy shopping street. At My Secret Garden Cafe you will find peace and tranquility, which is quite special considering it's literally around the corner of the busy shopping street in the city center of Vienna.
Read moreNot only the location is great, though. The food is also top-notch. I visited twice for lunch and they have different dishes depending on which day you visit. On Tuesday, there was a curry and a one other dish which I can't remember. However, there are also some set items on the menu, such as a red lentil dal. I had the red lentil dal which was simple yet delicious. The price difference between the dal and the daily dishes is a bit strange, as the dal only costs about 9 euros while the daily dishes are about 14 euros.
I also had lunch here on Thursday, and the daily dishes were a massaman curry and a moussaka. I had the moussaka which was really good and had a quite large salad on the side with a delicious tahini dressing. The cakes and sweets all looked really delicious, but I didn't try any of them. The kombucha was good and refreshing. You have to order inside and you will be given a number, so the staff knows where to serve the food.
If you'd ask me, this one is a must-visit in Vienna.

Read moreI visited my secret garden on a Tuesday and I chose the dish of the day: a creamy peanut curry with vegetables and rice and a salad on the side. The curry sauce was very delicious and it was served with a lot of vegetables. Normally I am not a big fan of side salads because it's often dry lettuce with some cucumber for instance. But this salad was simple but so good! The dressing, based on Tahini, is amazing.
I visited this cafe a second time on a Thursday to try an other dish of the day: vegan moussaka. The moussaka was delicious. Maybe a little less salad and more moussaka would be better, but nonetheless I liked the dish.
You have to order inside. They give you a number and when the food is ready they bring the food and drinks to you. The 'secret' garden is a hidden gem and you can really escape the busy streets of Vienna. I like the concept of my secret garden with a daily changing menu.

Perfect location near the aquarium! (Haus des Meeres). Avocado salad was huge & there were tons of vegetables: beets, carrots, pomegranate seeds, sunflower seeds, Austrian pumpkin seeds, sesame seeds, lettuce, radicchio, spinach, etc. and tahini dressing.

On the day we went there was a curry (served with salad with a creamy tahini dressing), dal and marinated tofu. We tried everything and it was nice but we all agreed we had better curries.
My husband had a nut cake, again nice but we were not blown away.
