Gross - the RECENT reviews indicate major sanitation issues. Big bug in my drink! - Edit
No one spoke English or German. The place was empty both nights we stopped by. On the second night we tried to eat here due to the 4.5 rating and because we had a good dinner here in 2017. Vegan options in Baden Baden are lacking to begin with. My beer had a big bug in it – they replaced it without much fuss and less apologies. The free appetizer after we ordered was stale. That’s when I read the recent reviews on Google, paid for our beers that we didn’t drink, and ran the heck out of there.

Don't know what vegan is - Edit
We told the waiter in German and English that we were vegan and he still brought us an appetizer with salmon and prawn, a salad with yogurt/cream sauce and fruit with cream at the end of the meal. Each time I would explain that we don't eat fish, milk. It was very frustrating to see the food waste. As another review said, there are several things marked on the menu as vegan, but obviously not, because they have cheese in. I would not trust that any of the food does not contain fish sauce.

Beware - labels vegetarian options as ”vegan” - Edit
There’s a lot of options marked as vegan on the menu that contains egg and cheese. We asked specifically for vegan food, both in English and in German and got sushi with creme cheese. The homemade tofu served with the vegan mains was good, pretty sure the salad had non vegan dressing tho. The food was more German than asian in flavor. Also pretty expensive but that seems to be the theme of Baden Baden.

Read moreThe vegan Pho is a must to try. Skip the fresh chili pieces if you're not into spicy things - it will tingle the top of your head and a runny nose is assured in case you bite into a particularly potent piece.
Hoisin sauce is not vegan, it's a downer, but it shows the persistence to serve authentic tastes. The three or four types of curries make up for great selection.

MY LYN has been my favorite go-to pan-Asian fix for a number of years now. Everything on offer in the menu here seems to be a labor of love. It starts from the ambiance - as you’ve walked into a cozy cottage. During Covid times, they diligently follow all SOPs, cleaning and disinfecting the eating areas diligently. Tonight, we got the usual generous serving of Maki Sushi and MY LYN Rolls. We ordered white Tuna butterfish and maki mix (the best in Baden Baden), followed by Thai curry and Pad.
