Another disappointing cafe - Edit
Another cafe claiming "vegan" options but ending in disappointment. Only 3 veg items on the menu, all breakfast no lunch items. 1 is vegan, field mushroom bagel which we ordered and was overall good.
Read moreThe other 2 breakfast veg items can be "made" vegan by removing eggs/cheese, no substitutions and basically no protein while you pay $22-24.
Pros: Field Mushroom was good!
Cons: Only one vegan breakfast item, No lunch vegan options

Near Macedon Station - Edit
I had a bonus day off work and was looking for a place for a train ride somewhere nice and different.
Read moreFound this place 200m from Macedon Station.
I had the breakfast bowl, vegan option which just meant without egg. It was tasty and filling and the service was lovely.

Lovely food - Edit
Clearly labelled vegan options on the menu. I wanted a big brekkie and friendly staff were really accommodating and worked out cheapest way for me to have the works. It was Delish.

Great flavours - Edit
Not many options but what the did have was super tasty. I had the magic mushroom bagel. They offer a vegan cheese add on in the menu but they didn’t have any which was disappointing but the bagel was delicious without it. I also had the snickers smoothie which was also great. I was pleased that they used tahini dates and molasses and cacao rather than just peanut butter and chocolate.

The name's Bagel, Mr. Bagel - Edit
So reading these reviews you'll quickly notice everyone "tried the bagel". Simple answer why: it's the only vegan option. That being said it's a reasonably good option and priced fairly compared to the rest of the menu.

Cons: Lack of options

Great options, fast service - Edit
Really enjoyed the vegan options here, the service was so quick on a busy Sunday - we had barely sat down from ordering when our drinks were delivered! Food was great - I had the breakfast bowl. The produce was fresh and the servings were generous. The chips were fabulously crunchy, and the Snickers smoothie was delicious.

Hubby had vegetarian smashed avo on sour dough and my wee one (vegetarian waffles)!
It doesn’t look like much in the outside but the inside is cozy and so inviting!
The food was so tasty and everyone was so nice!
The owner even popped out and had a chat with my husband and I.
We are road tripping from brisbane and this is a hidden Gem!
Vegan donuts and Tumeric Almond Lattes to go after an amazing lunch 👍
Pros: Great friendly staff, Amazing atmosphere
Cons: Doesn’t look like much on the outside

Hello Mr! - Edit
Great coffee, warm service and delicious bagel.
Read moreI was greeted as I entered and there was a queue of those who seemed to be locals inside mostly ordering coffees. My coffee with almond mylk was good and strong.
The bagel was a single big mushroom with the accompanying ingredients, while I was expecting something a little different, this felt more like a burger (especially as I had added a cheese slice). It had nice flavours, was a little oily but was toasted just right.
If it were not for HappyCow, I would have completely missed this cafe given the perceived low likelihood of finding good vegan options out here. So it came as a welcome surprise!
Pros: Not many options out here
Cons: Could have more vegan options

Tasty vegan brekkie available and a few other options. Not heaps of options but some. Always busy. Unfortunately can smell bacon when eating.

Worth a stop! - Edit
Really great to see vegan food making it further out of the city! Great coffee with a variety of mylks, nice atmosphere, staff were very willing to add extras (I had double mushrooms which were really good) when eggs or feta were being taken off to make a vegetarian dish vegan. The food was super tasty, as were the vegan smoothies.

Great vegan bagels - Edit
One of only a few places in the Hepburn/Daylesford/Macedon region with clearly marked vegan options, let’s hope more like this spring up. Good coffee.
