It really is a vegan McDonalds - Edit
Whether you like this place depends on whether you like (or used to like) McDonald’s. For me, it was a welcome nostalgia. The burgers were exactly how I remember them at McDonald’s. Pretty amazing. The fries were great too. The nuggets were pretty good. Drinks were meh but for the burgers and concept alone I’d definitely come back 👍

This vegan version to McDonald's delivers on the Mickie D goods. I ordered a regular cheeseburger, which comes with fries and some chik'n nuggets inside a cute McD-like Happy Meal box. Burger tasted just like a classic McDonald's burger (with the onions, ketchup, pickle, and all).

First heard about this place a while back. Visiting LA from NY and needed to make a stop! Ordered the Big Chuck Frowny Meal. The burger was out of this world. So so good. The chicken nuggets were good and I got the Chipotle Aioli and Sweet and Sour sauces to dip. I didn’t love the sauces but they were both fine. The fries were really good and it comes with a Coke as well. Place is decorated really cute and concept is awesome!

Tastes exactly like McDonald's - Edit
The one major downside is that there's no seating at all and it's a very small place, so you'll have to eat your meal out in the heat. Aside from that, if you're looking for a true fast food meal then this is the place to go. Tastes and looks exactly the same as McDonald's, but all plants. Pretty cool concept and the design of the restaurant is visually interesting almost like an exhibit.

Read moreI just had the burger, so can't speak to the other items, but the particular flavors & textures really matched my memory (ok, it's been a loooong time, but I did eat a bunch as a kid) of a McD's regular burger.
Naturally, this will depend on how you feel about McD's – as we know, the McD's accoutrements probably disguised some pretty grim meat, and I couldn't even really taste the Impossible patty itself...
and like McD's, it's presumably not the healthiest stuff to be eating on the regular. So it's all to be taken with a grain of salt.
But it's an achievement that the burger could probably be swapped and meat-eaters wouldn't flinch.
It's cheap for food these days, though probably still about 2–3 times a McD's burger.
Pros: Very close approximation of McD's, Relatively cheap
Cons: Not exactly health food, Pandemic, but not much in the way of seating.

I haven’t had McDonald’s since I was a child honestly and this place somehow brought that nostalgia and instant memory of taste back for me. But it’s VEGAN! I really have to moderate this place because it can easily become addictive! I love everything about it would recommend to everyone!

I love this place and I can’t wait to go back. I haven’t had fast food in over 15 years and to finally be able to go to one as a vegan was such a special treat! I got their meal with the chick’n sandwich, nuggies, and fries. Honestly best vegan nuggets I have ever had. Everything else was amazing too. Next time I would love to try the burger.

So freaking delicious! I was skeptical about this place because honestly the pictures of the food looked boring. Like McDonald's burgers. But omg the flavor is unreal. I couldnt believe it. It reminded me so much of my childhood eating a happy meal. The box your meal comes in is soo freaking cute. I felt like badass walking to my car with it on hand. I love the decor. Everything was great! Will definitely return. Oh and btw i went with a non vegan who eats McDonald's daily and he said it didnt taste like McDonald's. He said it was better quality than McDonald's. So there you have it.

I don’t know how they do it. What wizardry this is. I haven’t eaten mcDonalds since childhood but they somehow replicated the taste of McDonalds and actually improved on it, like it’s an enhanced idealized non-greasy version of McDonalds. Our favorite here is the Vegan chicken sandwich. It’s INSANELY good. The double double McFrowny burger is also very good but maybe ask them to go easy on ketchup. The Nuggets are sooo sooo good, especially with the green sauce. Their fries are good too. We love the packaging too, very cute.

After ordering, Billy told us the story of Mr Charlie’s and said that one of the CoFounders had been living with their family at The LA Dream Center when they were homeless and so they give back to The LA Dream Center. Every McFrowny meal purchased, gives back to The LA Dream Center to feed 7 people.
The fries were made with fresh potatoes and had a nice crispy outside and soft inside that were lighter and better than McDonald’s fries, and they were sprinkled perfectly with Himalayan Salt. The nuggets were perfection, nice crispy coating for a nice crunchy texture and the inside was hot and flavorful. All dipping sauces were good, chipotle had a nice. Spicy edge, the barbecue sauce was sweet and tangy, the green sauce was like a tangy green hot-sauce without the spice which tasted great on the fries, and the white sauce reminded me a little of the chipotle. The cheese burger was made with a thin impossible patty, the grilled crispy buns with the cheese used on it gave it grilled cheese vibes which tasted great. The chicken sandwich was nice, great crispy coating and hot juicy inside. Food was tasty, staff was warm and friendly, the mission behind the whole restaurant was inspiring so I bought a shirt for me and my friend. Will be back when I’m in the area.

This place has smashed it, tastes just like McDonald’s burger and fries, chicken nuggets could do with changing but were good, just not like McDonald’s from what i remember. Its basically a way better version of McDonald’s because its vegan, if you miss McDonald’s go here. Non vegans will not know the difference. 👌👌

One of the strangest vegan restaurants I have gone to. I had the feeling I was on a movie set of a anti-McDonald's documentary. I ordered the Not a Double consisting of a double vegan cheeseburger, vegan chicken nuggets, amd a drink (got sparkling water).
