Very close approximation of McD's - Edit
Just piling on here – this is an impressive emulation of McDonald's!
Read moreI just had the burger, so can't speak to the other items, but the particular flavors & textures really matched my memory (ok, it's been a loooong time, but I did eat a bunch as a kid) of a McD's regular burger.
Naturally, this will depend on how you feel about McD's – as we know, the McD's accoutrements probably disguised some pretty grim meat, and I couldn't even really taste the Impossible patty itself...
and like McD's, it's presumably not the healthiest stuff to be eating on the regular. So it's all to be taken with a grain of salt.
But it's an achievement that the burger could probably be swapped and meat-eaters wouldn't flinch.
It's cheap for food these days, though probably still about 2–3 times a McD's burger.
Pros: Very close approximation of McD's, Relatively cheap
Cons: Not exactly health food, Pandemic, but not much in the way of seating.

Don’t sleep on Mr. Charlie’s! We love this place, the food is great, like idealized nostalgic McD’s. The staff are super nice and seem to actually like working there which makes a very welcoming environment.
Read moreMondays get $0.99 cent burgers (limit 2/person) and Wednesdays get buy one get one chicken sandwiches. You can pair the deal with a meal which is a nice option, especially since their meal comes with nuggets!

The Mr Chuck was perfectly delicious, it never fell out of its burger bum and it was perfectly balanced !!!Lucky, we arrived on a Wednesday and the not chicken burger is a two for one! So I added pickles onto ours and it was absolutely delicious. The chicken patty was crispy on the outside and really tasty and not stodgy. Buns on all burgers were fresh and delightful and the fries were way better than the “you know who’s”!

It was kind if fun to try out this fake McDonald's. The food was fine, and did taste like how I remember McDonald's tasted many years ago. There are plenty of good vegan fast food options in the area, though, so I wouldn't go out of my way to come back here.

Bomb burgers! A little pricey 🥴 but it’s soooooo good!! I wish they had seating inside or even upstairs and a bathroom so I can wash my hands. When I’m in a mood for a burger , this is my spot. As a vegan, it’s nice to get a little taste of Mc’ds in a vegan version.

Definitely reminds me of McDonalds and reminds me of those childhood memories of eating there - now without the need to kill animals! It’s pretty good. Though I think if I wanted a burger, I’d rather go to Nice Burger.

I wanted to love it as a former McDonalds fan, but it wasn’t the best. Yes 100% it tastes JUST like McDonald’s, however it gives you that same bleh I feel crappy like you ate McDonald’s. Would be great as a late night meal or when you’re craving it; but not something I would get if there’s other options.

I grew up as a meat-eater & did the flip for the animals… I don’t miss meat at all, but sometimes I miss the comfort/nostalgia attached to certain food and branding… Mr. Charlies is exactly that. I love the food and the branding so much… and the staff is the best.

I got the Breakfast Frowny Deluxe Meal. The sausage patty and sandwich overall were delicious and tasted exactly how I expected. Pretty greasy in the paper wrapping but it is fast food after all.
