Superb

Superb in every way. Beautiful place in the lovely Away resort. We were staying in a nearby hotel, but would definitely stay in the Away resort if ever in Chiang Mai again. It's listed as a "Veggie Hotel", the first time I saw that designation; something worth looking out for.

Anyway the restaurant is lovely and elegant; staff were extremely friendly, courteous, and gracious, and the food was fantastic. We ended up having lunch and dinner here multiple times. Every time we tried different dishes, and all were excellent. Especially loved the tasty green and red curries, and the vegan tiramisu. Highest recommendation.

Pros: Excellent Food, Beautiful Design and Ambience, Gracious Staff

Delicious and immaculate

We stopped in here a couple of weeks ago for a nice dinner based on other reviews. Initially we were the only customers, though there was one other person eventually, and the staff, Mr. Train and Mr. Chart, took excellent care of us. We ordered the Away Tartar, Pineapple Fried Rice, Spicy Basil Leaf, a couple of Thapae Coolers to drink, and both the Mango Sticky Rice and The Color Purple (sort of a flan) for dessert. Everything was SO well made and presented - it would have felt at home in any higher-end American restaurant. With all of the food and drinks, our total bill was only about 1000 baht, or roughly $30 USD. I know that's expensive compared to street vendors where you can have an entire meal for $3, but it would have easily been two or three times that in the States. We were very happy to have discovered this gem and will be back the next time we're in Chiang Mai!

Pros: Attentive and friendly staff, Great flavors and presentation

Love this place!

Beautiful decor, delicious food and top notch service. The BBQ burger, hotdog, papaya salad, and power up tofu are amazing. And the tiramisu is something else. All items are currently 150 baht, and if you book with eatigo you can get 50% off at certain times, meaning it's an absolute steal! Wish it was busier, shame to see such a lovely place pretty much empty everytime we come.

Pros: Amazing food, service and premises.

Cons: Would like to see more fresh items

Amazing hidden secret

We came here to dinner (later in the evening) and were surprised to be the only ones there. We were later joined by another couple but it was lovely to have a quiet, beautiful environment all to ourselves. This restaurant is extremely underrated or known about. It was just perfect! We celebrated our anniversary there and couldn't have picked a better restaurant. The service was excellent and the food was incredible. Most items on the menu are vegan and any item can be made vegan. We ordered the fried spring rolls to start off and they were one of the best-fried rolls we've had. They were filled with glass noodles, carrots, and mushrooms and served with a sweet and sour sauce. I got the Fried mushroom burger which was a new surprised to not have a patty and rather just fried mushrooms. The only thing I felt that was missing was a sauce it in, but it did have ketchup and a white sauce on the side that came with the fries so I added some of that in. The fries were also perfectly made and not oily at all. I made sure to order the burger without cheese to make it vegan. My boyfriend ordered the Spicy basil leaf Lanna which was almost entirely mushrooms and no other veggies which we would have liked to see more veggies in it but it still had great flavors and perfect spice (if you like spicy). The prices were very decent (150-210 baht) for such a high-class restaurant and we were very happy with our portion size. If you are in Chiang Mai make this restaurant on your must go list. Nice atmosphere, excellent service, and great food! We'll be back.

Amazing Thai food

Simply fantastic food, with excellent flavours and great service. Slightly expensive in Chiang Mai terms but the staff were very professional and would say the best vegetarian restaurant food we've had in Chiang Mai!

Swanky, Hi-So Place, Quality Food

Moreganic is without a doubt the swankiest vegetarian restaurant in town. It is inside Away Thapae Resort which is an expensive, high class hotel. The decor is extremely classy and you won't find any other veggie place in town quite like it. Obviously, the food is higher priced than other restaurants in town. I have heard people complain that they are making veganism expensive, I find this unfair. It is a posh hotel. If you went to any other of the posh hotels in town that aren't vegetarian you would be paying the same prices, if not more. The high cost is because it is a hi-so hotel, the fact that it's veggie should not come in to it.
The food. All the food is organic (?) we believe comes from the Royal Project so is at least pesticide free. Another reason for the higher cost. Dishes are beautifully presented. The somtam is a very unique dish served with vegan chicken and sticky rice on the side.
They have several varieties of burgers with funky names, such as the Thapae Burger or the Mon Jam burger. We tried both. They are good, made with veggies instead of fake meat and don't fall apart like so many often do. You also get a nice amount of fries with them which a lot of restaurants seem to skimp out on these days. One was supposed to be served with wedges though but we got fries.
Overall, we were impressed with the dishes. We probably would not come here regularly because of the prices but it would make a perfect place to have an event, especially perhaps a romantic one if you're looking to impress a partner.

Pros: Pesticide free food, Tasty dishes, Fancy decor

Cons: Expensive

Delicious food

The food and the service are definitely absolutely amazing. Super yummy dishes, juices, desserts and outstanding service gestures. But the prices are high and when you get the bill, there comes an additional service charge and taxes on top. Great ambience.

fine dining vego restaurant

the Moreganic Restaurant is part of the Away Chiang Mai Thapae Hotel ... the restaurant is very nice with an extensive vegetarian menu ... the pricing reflects the venue with the great quality and presentation of the food ... serving sizes are not large ... my Thai omni friend and I both had a delicious but not spicy massaman curry and shared a brown rice (฿513 with 15% discount)

Pros: fine dining

Cons: expensive

Amazing.

The food here is amazingly good it should be soooo much busier than it is but I guess that’s because it’s newly opened. Really fresh ingredients and really tasty. This place is not far out of the old city at all, 2 minutes walk from Tha Pae gate and is well worth it. The restaurant itself is clean and beautiful and the decor is more fine dining than cafe style. Prices are reasonable too. We ordered aromatic pineapple rice and a mushroom burger, and everything was delicious! The juices are really refreshing and good too. Highly recommend!

Pros: mushroom burger , the juices, the excellent service and friendly staff

Cons: none

Undiscovered treasure

Stayed at 'Away Chiang Mai Resort' and Moreganic is basically their restaurant (but accessible for everybody).

Food is mostly vegan, they only use cow's milk for some things but ask the staff. They speak English very well and willing to help. For example the waffles had cow's milk but they made me vegan ones on request.

Breakfast buffet is amazing, changes daily and always has some sweet options and vegan sausages.

Lunch and buffet is a la carte: amazing food! Staff organised whole vegan NYE dining for me. I told them in advance what I wanted and they made everything so good.

They have some special interesting dishes, not the typical stuff. Lots of flavour. A bit more expensive but totally worth it.

Cute and quiet restaurant, very good if you fancy some rest and escape the cities noises.

HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS PLACE.

Pros: Quiet dining , Friendly staff, Healthy and tasty

Vegan gourmet comes to Chiang Mai!

I've discovered that having a vegan restaurant right downstairs from where I'm staying is a blessing when I've arrived late or had a super long, hot day out exploring the city, and Moreganic is just WOW! I've had the same dishes prepared elsewhere, but Moreganic's chef has real talent and a flare for getting a lot of flavor out of leaves and twigs. Guests have the option of free breakfast (I chose a normal booking) and breakfast time is definitely busy for having just opened the attached hotel on Dec 1.... At dinner, I've been the only diner in the restaurant, but service was stellar and the food delicious. I really really hope the buzz word gets out and this place earns a lot of success. They deserve it!

Pros: A well though menu with both Thai and western opti

Cons: None!
