Sister restaurant to the original one in Old Bagan, this one opened Oct 2016. Same menu of a mix of Burmese and some of a general stir fry nature, plus a couple specials such as a banana dud salad. More stylish and hip than the other location. Has an access down a dirt track (200m on sign but felt like more) and probably not very pleasant access if heavy rain and on foot or a scooter or bike. Other sealed road access may be available to the west. Open Mon-Sun 8:00am-10:00pm.

Very friendly stuff, super relaxed atmosphere in a nice cool garden! Good coffee and hang out location for hot afternoons - they brought us games like 4 wins and uno and went buying cigatettes for us. Five stars!!

Good food in cozy place - Edit
We went here for lunch and had a good experience. Friendly staff helped us identifying meals with onions and prepared them without it. The food was delicious, and we loved the salads. Portions could be bigger. Prices are for tourists and little above the average. We didn’t see any animal cruelty here this time.

Animal cruelty do not eat here - Edit
One of the staff members abused a dog while I was there, causing it to injury it's leg. He laughed when I confronted him about it. Hypocritical as they are a vego restaurant with motto 'be kind to the animals'. They should be ashamed. Do not support this business. Food was also average and overpriced.

Average food. Nice atmosphere. - Edit
The food is good but not exceptional. Had a few hairs in my dish first time I ate here... Tried different curries that were often to oily. Tea leaf salad is good but the portion quite small. Nicest part of the restaurant is the garden which is really peaceful.

the staff is rude - Edit
The place is pretty, the food is average (and not the cheapest) but one of the staff members was really rude and made my visit unpleasant. He looked angry as soon as we arrived. I was asking about the ingredients of the special menu items as the dishes were not described. I asked about a couple of things and all of them had egg in them so I kept asking just to find a vegan one. He seemed pretty annoyed until he YELLED AT ME in front of everyone, “NO CHICKEN NO MEAT, THIS IS A VEGETARIAN RESTAURANT!!”, are you kidding me? Of course I know, that’s why I came there. I just said: I know, but I don’t eat egg or milk, that’s why I’m asking.
Read moreMy sister (who never gets angry) said that he was really rude and she asked me if i wanted to leave, but we already drove a lot to find it so we just stayed. I ordered a random dish (a curry) as I didn’t want to talk to the staff again and they gave me the wrong one. Maybe it was on purpose, I don’t know, but it was nothing special.
I noticed that he tried to be nicer after the incident, he probably noticed that I waa unhappy, thank you for that!

Loved this place! - Edit
We had been to the original one in Old Bagan and although they have the same menu and dishes, we preferred the ambience and the setting of this one. Surrounded by lots of trees and greenery and soft lighting, it was really special. We enjoyed the tomato and tofu curry and the sweet and sour bean curd. We most recommend the coconut tofu curry - that was super delicious!

Cadre magnifique. Nourriture bof. - Edit
Le lieu est rempli de charme. La Birmanie ne regorge pas de restaurants avec des options vegans. The Moon est sans doute la meilleure option. Mais je ne suis pas sûr que ce soit bon signe d’avoir autant de choix. (pas très frais)

Everyday I came to there for dinner. The place is very nice and cozy. Love to sitting there and reading book while waiting for my dinner. The staffs are very polite and they care good for me and other people. The food I can recommend are: chapati, massanam curry, burger, lentils soup with naan and set meal. Ask for their dessert as well. Because I came to there for dinner everyday, they gave me small dessert for free on the last night.

Food with style and taste - Edit
We come here for the 2nd time within one day and really like the atmosphere and the food. I got this Set Menu for 8000mmk which is like 5 USD and contains a soup, currys, salads (the carrot, tomato and tea leaf salad are amazing!) fried veggies and some special eggs (yeah, they are not vegan!). The atmosphere is pretty good with spacious rooms, tables to sit on the floor and on chairs. For every taste something! And it even has nice restrooms with everything you need ;-)

Delicious! - Edit
We had some trouble finding the Moon 2! It was down a dusty road behind our hostel but definitely worth the hunt! We ordered so much and only spent 14,000K ($14AU). Tried the noodle special, the tea leaf salad and the chapati wrap! All were delicious. We had also visited the original Moon Restaurant but definitely preferred 2 for the lovely, chilled out, relatively modern setting.

Really special setting and tasty food - Edit
What a beautiful, cosy restaurant- so thoughtfully designed! And set amongst the pagodas down a sandy track- it really seemed magical. The food was tasty - banana bud salad, vegetable tempura and a pineapple coconut curry which was a bit underwhelming to be honest, but everything else was great! Reasonable prices- on the higher side for Myanmar but not for a place like this.
