Fuimos exclusivamente para probar un bocata típico de Madrid veganizado y estaba buenísimo. Daba muchísimo el pego.

¿La pega que le pondría? El servicio fue bastante lento y desatendido teniendo en cuenta que el bar estaba bastante vacío y el bocata era bastante caro (6,50 € para ser más pequeño que mi mano) aunque también comprendo que los calamares veganos están hechos de Konyac y es un producto caro.
Pros: Bocata buenísimo, Mayonesa espectacular, Lugar céntrico

The place is closed for nearly half the week, so we had to time our visit carefully, but it was worth it.
Read moreAs it turned out, the tables down the back were occupied that evening, as they were having an auction from various local artists in aid of refugees in Greece, so we sat at one of the bar tables at the front. It took a while for the burgers to come, but when they did - wow!
I'm used to fake meat, but this tasted more "realistic" than anything I've had in the past 30 years. And you can help yourself to ketchup, too. :-)
Definitely worth a visit.
Pros: Burgers. Let your non-veggie friends try them., Very reasonable prices., Not just a bar/restaurant.

Went here and loved the food, staff and vibe. It's a great place for casual dining and a drink. Good background music too.

We tried to go back the next night, but it was New Year's Eve, and they were closed.
Worth the 800m walk from where we were staying 😀

Came here for some drinks and the Sunday paella! I really liked the vibe and the staff were friendly and the paella was tasty. Also had a mini sandwich too which was good. I would love to come back here and try some more dishes.

Typischer Madrider Barstil. Wir hatten drei Gerichte. Bocadillo mit Calamaris. Wie echt! Die Kartoffeln waren auch lecker, aber die Croquetas fanden wir nicht so gut. Personal freundlich und es gab eine Schnaps auf das Haus.

The decor is very intresting and beautiful, the food is not expensive (calamarie, crooquettes ,burgers and 2 sangaria for 29.5 euro)

They serves paella on sundays and 3 types of tapas, nachos, a variety of burgers with many topping(including vegan cheese) for free.
Didn't check the desert menu but looked good.

I wish I could give more stars! The food here is delicious, I recommend the vegan calamari and the burgers and croquettes.. We went two days in a row to try the paella too and it was great. You just can't beat the service, the staff is super friendly, always with a smile and really accomodating. Lovely and welcoming atmosphere. Recommended 😊

I think we ended up here because they were open--hardly anything is open for dinner before 20.00 in Spain. So the menu seemed small, but the guy was helpful in explaining what was what. I ended up with the best damn vegan (cheese)burger I've ever had. So good. Really good potatoes came with. My husband got the calamari and thought it was great.

Baguette of Vegan Calamares in Plaza Mayor - Edit
If you're a guiri tourist don't doubt on coming and trying the vegan version of this traditional dish from Madrid where you're suppoused to est it: near Plaza Mayor. Trust me it doesn't have to envy a anything to the one containing animal suffering. at their menu it is called Lady Pirata.

Aunque no viene precisamente en una baguette si no en un mollete, a mi gusto mejor aún, este bocata de calamares no tiene nada que envidiar al que contiene sufrimiento animal. Animaos a volver a comer calamares cerca de donde se supone que tiene que unx a tomárselos: la Plaza Mayor. En carta se llama Lady Pirata y viene acompañado con un poco de hummus a parte, para dentro del bocata se le puede echar kilos de veganesa casera digna de buen gordivegan.

El local es un sitio curioso en el que hacen eventos artísticos de vez en cuando y que cuenta con una barra como principal elemento para poder tomar unas cañas y unas tapas, muy esencia de La Latina. Como pincho con la caña me pusieron un poquito de tortilla vegana con la cual están todavía experimentando pero que sin duda van por el buen camino.
En resumen si andáis por la zona acercaos a conocer Mona Pinkerton y aunque sea saludar la gente que trabaja allí que tiene muchas ganas de sacar este proyecto adelante!!
