I grew up in this city and was very surprised to see a vegan cafe pop up there. Miss Nice Bananas has a very nice laid back atmosphere.
Read moreI like how light the cafe is and the food is very good and relatively healthy. Unsurprisingly almost everything has bananas in it.
They're constantly updating the menu for the seasons so there's almost always something new to try.
Definitely check them out when you're in town.

It's a sweet little place that makes you feel like you're at home with the service being very personal and really nice! It was also no problem taking our dog inside and she even got some banana and a little treat!

My friends and I visited this place a few months ago and we really liked it, although back then the options were still limited. I know this has changed and I plan to get back as soon as I can to try some of the new stuff. The owner was really supernice, the place - although quite small - has a very nice atmosphere and the food was great and quite special (banana soup!). The new menu looks even better!

The owner of this lovely little lunchroom gave us a warm welcome. She was vertrokken kind and friendly. The interior has a lot of details. Im sure she picked everything together with care and a lot of love. The food was amazing. We ordered jackfruit taco's ( not Sweet at all), lintel soup and filled Sweet patatoes. All fresh and tasty. When youre in Gouda and you want to chill down in a space that feels like home: you really need to visit this place.

Great Vegan Eatery in Gouda - Edit
We cycled from Rotterdam to Gouda and checked out Happy Cow for some Vegan options. Miss Nice Banana is a nicely decorated and welcoming restaurant right in the middle of town. The menu is versatile and prices are mid range. We had the jackfruit taco's (tip) and a lentil soup + some fresh juice. The biggest surprise was the freshly made ice cream which was one of the best we've had. Mega tip! You can choose toppings and the portions are quite large.

Small but nice restaurant, I liked the interior very much and the postings on the wall. Friendly owners. Food delicious, we could taste the soups before ordering so we knew if we would like it or not. At our visit they had a bananasoup and a spicey chilibeansoup, both tasted very good. I had a mealbox with quinoa and salad and some more, rather filling. Opening hours are good to. It is also a takeway and since they are more or less located in the centre of the city you can do your shopping and then take diner home with you.

Tasty banana soup - Edit
A little nice looking take away / small restaurant. For the first time I ate banana soup and it was great! You can also order banana boxes with salad and have these soup as a kind of curry on it (also great) and there is a wrap and a sandwich. A bit small in choice and mainly meant as take away (you even get your order in disposable cups and boxes if you eat in the restaurant) but one of the most delicious soups I ever had and a very friendly owner. I hope they will extend the menu with more original options like the bananasoup (Miss Nice Banana just opened when we visit it).

Very happy to have lunched here. Vegan-only meals, smoothies, drinks and snacks with a touch of the Caribbean, prepared and served with a sunny smile by Miss Nice Banana herself. Bonus views over the canal, very recommended!
