Been around but up with the times

The long established Mildreds on Pentonville Road has long been a firm favourite for vegetarians and vegans. But it has kept up with times. Really like the contemporary design. Started with a cacao old fashioned cocktail and a selection of great dishes - a full menu choice for vegans. The banana blossom tacos were the highlight of the evening.

Pros: Lots of vegan options

Cons: Price adds up if you order 4-5 dishes

really nice

Went here for my birthday dinner with my partner. The atmosphere inside the restaurant lovely and the meal we had was very good. I absolutely loved my Roast Winter Squash + Black Grape Tartine and the Basil Polpette I had as a main dish was also good, albeit it could have used a bit more flavour (unfortunately, this is often the case with Italian-style meals in the UK). The Charred Roman Artichokes and Kiri Hodi which my partner had were apparently also very good.

The staff was very friendly and accommodating (I have a recently discovered, somewhat niche allergy and our server made sure this was taken into account).

Pros: food, great service

Is Mildred single?

Absolutely brilliant menu which is updated & refreshed regularly. Everything is vegan/vegetarian including drinks! Class A chefs in an open kitchen with lovely staff all round.

Drop the milk

Always offers amazing plant based foods.

Same as a lot of places that are 1 or 2 ingredients away from being a fully vegan restaurant.

Delicious!

Came here for a meal on a Wednesday and it was rammed! We didnt book a table, unfortunately, so had to wait for around an hour. This was fine, as they have a nice bar area and good selection of drinks. We had a delicious meal, starters, mains and dessert! It's a shame mildreds is so expensive, otherwise I would be a regular here.

Pros: Great range of vegan food , Brilliant wine , Nice atmosphere

Cons: No keto friendly options , Expensive , Very busy

Amazing food and service

The chicken skewers with a tahini dressing were delicious and one of the best vegan meals I've had out - would definitely have again. Loved the mezze brunch (only available on weekends I think), especially the vegan feta. Makes a nice change from the typical full English. The granola was nice but not really anything special and could do with a bit more coconut yoghurt. The smoothie however was lovely, as was the tofu scramble. Staff have been lovely at every branch I've visited and happy to make adjustments, such as making the scrambled tofu side.

Incredible

Definitely one of the best vegan meals I’ve ever had out! The chick’n skewers were absolutely delicious, as were the summer rolls we shared to start. Perfect balance of flavours and a lovely, vibrant setting to enjoy the food in

Family favourite, never disappoints

Mildred's has been a popular choice of restaurant amongst my family for a while. Evolving menu and generous portions ensures we always leave with a happy belly! We particularly enjoyed the polish burger (please bring it back!) and sri lankan curry. The green falafel was yum but haven't seen it for a while now. Cheesecake is scrumptious.
No onion and garlic menu available on request. Friendly staff and service. Kings Cross probably the easiest branch to get a table in my experience. Leicester square doesn't do reservations so often have to wait. Overall, very good value.

The creamiest vegan cheesecake ever!

I'm a long term fan of Mildreds - last visited earlier this year. A fantastic restaurant with a great menu. Personal favourites include the Sri Lankan curry and cheesecake out of the desserts!! (Used to also love the Polish Burger but not sure they do that anymore!). Overall very yummy!

Pros: Good portion size , Flavourful

Great Vegan Options

Mostly vegan restaurant with some vegetarian options that can usually be made vegan if you ask. A lot of the menu changes throughout the year, but everything is always tasty. If you're like me, and your favorite dishes always come out crispy or crunchy, then you can't go wrong with the gyoza or the banh mi. Dessert options are always fantastic as well.

Nothing is cheap, but it's not too unreasonable for London. Try to arrive early because the place is packed from 6 to 8 every evening. You can usually take a seat at the bar while you wait, or order food to go if you're in a hurry.

A lovely meal

Great food and fabulous service! We were well looked after and food came quickly. My tofu and noodles tasted divine and my spouse's mock duck burger was just as tasty. We arrived just before 6 and were seated immediately but there were a few people waiting when we left.

Very tasty!

The place is cosy and the service is very quick. My salad was very good, the vegan cheese sauce was very convincing. I also tried the vegan teriyaki chicken burger and it was delicious. The bravas were a little bit too spicy but we liked them nonetheless. Expect a slightly expensive dinner so maybe you should save it for a special occasion.

Always tasty but overpriced

The food here never disappoints - they have a range of different cuisines from around the world and there is always something new (I only visit every few months though!) Staff are friendly and the place is always packed. Only problem is that it is overpriced, but this is London...

Chocolate cake dessert was more like a pudding but was declared as incredible by the whole table!

Pros: Delicious food, Range of international cuisines, Changing menu

Cons: Expensive

One of the best veg places around

We had the pumpkin gnocchi, harissa patatas brava a and the levant chick’n kebabs. It was all delicious and full of flavour. The kebabs had such a good texture: I had a hard time believing it wasn’t really chicken! Not too expensive as well

Always amazing

I have been to Mildreds many times in London and it never fails to impress me and my companion! The menu has its invariable corner stones yet interesting tweaks come regularly and the drinks menu is diverse. Strong recommendation for vegans and non-vegans alike – will convince the latter with a great certainty.
