High standard vegan dining - Edit
Elevated plant-based experience that I can’t get back home. They don’t take the comfort/junk food approach so common among vegan restaurants. Everything was presented beautifully, and the service was attentive and friendly. Will definitely eat here again when I return to Vancouver.

Delicious, best in Vancouver. Curry noodles had 3 textures that added so much taste and depth. Very impressed and lovely waitress. Very allergy friendly.

Nice food but very poor customer service - Edit
Was hoping for a fancy meal at Mila but unfortunately their customer service was very poor. Called to place a to go order, the waitress hardly heard me because it was so loud. It seemed like every other thing they didn't agree to make to go (for example, most desserts)...
Read moreI asked for a drink to go and was placed on hold. Suddenly someone else starts talking to me. After a minute of conversation I realized I got transferred without being told. I explain that I would like a drink to go, and if not possible just to get a drink and a to-go cup. The lady on the phone's response was "I don't understand what your problem is" , so at that point I decided I would rather support a business that was more respectful.
Ultimately this is quite an expensive restaurant and I was pretty shocked at how rude the staff was.
Having eaten there before several times, we had some hits and misses. Generally the food is nice but the burger is much too salty for my taste and some of the appetizers were just meh.
Pros: All vegan, Generally tasty
Cons: Poor customer service, Expensive, Some food overly salty or not great

Definitely lived up to the billing - Edit
Been dying to check this place out, but COVID has out a real dent in my travel. Finally got the chance and stopped in on our one night on Vancouver. My wife and I shared the agedashi tofu, soba noodle salad, and bulgogi tacos. I don’t really know where to start, but they were all fantastic. The agedashi tofu has a great orange/citrus zest to the sauce. The soba noodle salad has the excellent crunch of the pomegranate seeds and mint to counter the dressing. The edamame fritter has a great crust and soft inside, with an earthy flavour. The tacos were an absolute flavour bomb, with a nice back of the mouth spicy from the kimchi and gochujang creama.

The only problem is that I wasn't hungry enough to try more dishes! - Edit
The staff were super friendly and cheerful and the space is bright and pleasant inside. It was hard to pick what to order because everything sounded so good. And everything we did end up ordering was delicious and had good portion sizes. Try to save room for dessert!

Mind-blowing vegan food - Edit
Wow!! So impressed by this restaurant. The mushroom and sausage tagliatelle was delicious: huge portion, rich and creamy, so satisfying. The other menu items seem intriguing too, I want to try everything on the menu! Staff were friendly and my order was prepared in a timely manner. 10/10 would recommend!!

Unbelievably delicious! - Edit
I absolutely love this place. The food is so so tasty. Their flavours are so good. They have really hit the nail on the head making creative great tasting dishes from plant-based ingredients. My favourite dishes: Bao buns, Mila roll, Aburi Lox Oshi (DELICIOUS!), Smash burger and Fish & Chips. The service is always friendly and they have a street patio now which is great on sunny days.

Best vegan restaurant in Vancouver! - Edit
This restaurant has a big menu with everything that the vegan heart might desire. I ate here three times over the past few months and every single dish I tried blew me away. I particularly LOVE the steakhouse burger, both sushi rolls, and the peanut butter cup pie - SO GOOD.
Read moreThe service is always fantastic and while it is pricier than a lot of other vegan restaurants, I think it is absolutely fair. The dishes are creative, delicious, and portion sizes are generous.
I regularly eat out in Vancouver and this has become my favorite one in a heartbeat.
Will come back again, and again, and again...

Elegant and delicious - Edit
Went here with my wife for a late lunch around 3 pm on a Monday and it wasn't busy, which was great for us. The atmosphere and decor is bright and comfortable. After looking at the menu we thought the Happy Hour Bento Lunch looked like great value so we got two of those, one with Lox Oshi and one with Mila roll. We also ordered 1 order of Bao Buns off the lunch menu. We ordered a house lager to go along with it, which was a Persephone Coast Life Lager.
Read moreEverything was super delicious and both the Lox Oshi and Mila roll were amazing, you can't go wrong ordering either. The tempura squash was delicious too but if we could do it all over again I would probably dip it into the curry soup because on its own it was quite dry, and there was no sauce with it. It didn't seem very oily which was great though. The bao buns were great too and we would definitely order everything again.
We would definitely recommend going at any time of day but we just happened to luck out and come during happy hour. We look forward to coming back and trying some other items on the menu it all looks so amazing. Thank you Mila!
Pros: Beautiful space, Delicious food, friendly servers
Cons: No sauce with tempura squash

Top Notch Dining - Edit
Fantastic experience - the service was wonderful and the food so tasty!
Read moreWe ordered the bao buns to start, and loved the sauce and texture of the tempeh. The buns themselves were also fresh and soft. For our entree we had the Mushroom and Sausage Tagliatelle, and the Celeriac Fish and Chips, both extremely flavorful. The tartar sauce that came with the fish and chips was a clear winner, as was the fresh garlic bread accompanying the pasta.
Finally, the Lemon Custard Bar for dessert was a great end to the meal. Not heavy at all, and firm consistency.
A bit pricey for everyday dining or even a night on the town, but will definitely be back for more special occasions!
Pros: Large and diverse dinner selection , Perfect portion sizes, Very Flavorful
Cons: More on the expensive side

Complex tasting dishes - Edit
Had the Bulgogi tacos, Bao buns and the Swedish kofta and mash (the food came out within 10 minutes!).
Read moreFirst off, the buns were so soft and fluffy (the highlight of the dish), it had been perfectly steamed where there was no sticky and soggy residue to be found, lovely. The tempeh itself was soft and smooth, but the overall flavours came from the cucumbers in there with some very delicious ingredients like coriander and shallots. Overall, the taste was very complex, a lot going on for a small bun - 3.5/5.
The Swedish kofta and mash was good, the mash is the lumpy kind and is more on the watery side with a subtle taste, not enough of it I'd say (coming from a mash lover). The kofta is more on the salty side which can be balanced out with the sweet lingoberry jam to make it more enjoyable.
The broccolini were the shining stars, love them so much, beautiful colours and taste, it's a shame there was only 3! I loved the simplicity of the plate and flavours in this one - 4/5.
Bulgogi tacos, a grower for me, first bite of the tacos, you get the taste of "vinegar" and "old", but it's just the kimchi that tastes like it has been super fermented (it's more sour than spicy). After that, you get to the bulgogi and it's sweet and has a bite to it (not sure what the "protein" was). The tortilla was done perfectly, however, the whole dish was very complex tasting, it was sweet, sour, saucy, creamy somewhere and overall soft in texture all amounting to "too much" - 3/5
FYI, for those who don't eat seaweed or kelp, the Aburi lox, Mila rolls and fish and chips has these.
The restaurant is small with way too many staff, I had to limbo and prance around people every time I got up, the music was too loud to ignore, but the staff were very nice.
