Fun place, great staff - Edit
There are a ton of vegan options here. Really enjoyed the vegan spider roll. My husband loved the vegan nachos. I can’t wait to go back to try some more of the rolls.

Terrible Food - Edit
First time tying this place and was very disappointed. The worst sushi/food I have had. Ordered the Dine Downtown special. I got the vegan Irishman roll. The brussel sprouts on top were beyond burnt so the entire rolls just tasted burnt. The yam in the rolls were not cooked all the way and had an unpleasant crunch to them because of it. I emailed feedback over a week a go to the restaurant but didn't hear back. Spent $60 on food that was not edible.

Best vegan sushi!!! - Edit
You know those places that have lame boring vegan rolls? This is NOT one of those places! Just as much care is taken in the attention to flavor combos and execution of their vegan rolls as their omni rolls! Come get you some! Highly recommend the vegan Irishman and the vegan OMFG!!!

Amazing vegan options - Edit
It is so nice to find a sushi place that actually has a vegan menu with a plethora of options. I am okay getting a basic roll at most places but here they truly step it up with the vegan options. We sat at the sushi bar, received great service and we will be back. Parking was easy to find and it is right off the freeway. Thank you midtown sushi!

So yummy, so creative, so friendly! - Edit
We were in a rush and couldn’t wait the 30 minutes for the order to be ready, so the super nice hostess and super accommodating chefs rushed our order. We were out of there in 10 minutes! The vegan roles were very creative and tasted delicious! 10/10 would recommend.

Vegan Sushi packed with flavour - Edit
Extremely Vegan Friendly! There is a huge vegan menu, many vegan choices for sushi and small plates. I am happy they cater to vegans and aren't afraid to label things as vegan (makes it soo much easier for us to decide/order!). There is apparently a Happy Hour where some items are cheaper everyday from 3pm-6pm, and all day on Tuesday and Sunday. Also currently (August 2020) they are not open for dine-in, they are doing takeout/ delivery. TO GO menu available on their website. We tried

Lou's gone but the sushi is still there - Edit
I was a little nervous when I found out that Lou Valente had been gone for about 18 months, but the quality of the food is still good. Starting in 2019, the name will be changing to Midtown Sushi. With 15 "specialty" vegan appetizers and entrees plus 20 different vegan sushi rolls, the vegan menu is quite extensive. We tried the fried Brussels sprouts; the fried smashed potatoes; the vegan spider roll; vegan roll #1; and the identity roll. All were excellent. Previous concerns about service were not observed tonight.

Delicious! - Edit
I was driving through Sac and saw that lou's sushi was near by so decided to give it try. They have a ton of delicious vegan options. I ordered the veg Spider roll on happy hour for $8 and it was delicious! Along with the veg Can You Dig It roll and veg soba salad. All were incredible and if I lived in the area would definitely return. I sat at the bar and the sushi chefs were incredibly friendly. I used yelp and with my first time "check in" received a free order of edamame! Highly recommend

The best - Edit
The place is lively. Lots of date action going on here. And what’s better to share than sushi? This is a riff on Japanese food, with an American twist. Big portions and unctuous. Full of flavor with surprise combinations. And a whole page of vegan options. Go for it.

best sushi - Edit
Best vegan sushi I've ever had. Even better than the sushi I used to eat in my old city with a full desperate vegan menu. Little pricey but 100% worth it because the rolls are really big and filling.

really tasty vegan rolls - Edit
Food was really good would highly recommend vegan top shelf roll, it's full of flavour and was clearly the most popular. we ordered the last one left and it was only 6pm. Also ordered vegan mushroom tenders so good, vegetable tempura nice and light and the spider roll which I would not order again as the top shelf was just more to my taste.

very good vegan sushi options - Edit
This place serves some of the best vegan sushi I've tried. They have good hearty rolls that make the most flavorful and creative veggie combinations that are on the mark. I usually don't complain about service, because I don't really care if the food's good. However, this place does not have good service even for my taste, and it is often very busy.

I love this place - Edit
As a vegan, sushi can be slightly disappointing sometimes. Lou's Sushi is different. They have an entire vegan menu (you have to ask for it) that includes things with sauces and fried things and tons of veggies. So far I haven't been disappointed. And it's located in a really cute area down in midtown. The staff is also super friendly.

great for vegans and omnivores! - Edit
small bustling happy sushi place in a convenient location. Just ask for the vegan menu and prepare to be amazed! None of those boring little kappa rolls here. Stuff like vegan spider roll wit big beautiful toppings...I felt like a target customer not like an afterthought. I tried 3 rolls and they were all great. The best was vegan firecracker (see picture) it rocked!
