המסעדה מספר אחת בתחום בלי תחרות. מנות מדהימות טעימות ומגוונות. חוזר לשם לפחות פעם ב-3 חודשים.

Very friendly staff, nice seating, something for every taste. We tried the faux meat and the gnocchis after we had the incredible cheese starter.

One of the best! Don't miss it! - Edit
Meshek Barzilay is a wonderful 100% vegan restaurant. Their menu is close to 100% organic as well, and the vegan, gluten-free, and nonorganic items are very clearly marked. They have menus in English, just ask for them. The big breakfast is one of the best in Tel Aviv. Their salads are simply excellent, being made of the freshest organic produce. The menu changes with the seasons. The “chraimeh” tofu balls in spicy tomato sauce are amazing. The restaurant itself has a special ambience; you can also sit outside. Worth visiting their 100% vegan deli next door for takeout: hot and cold dishes, desserts and more. Located in a charming neighborhood of Tel Aviv - Neve Tzedek. There is a parking lot next door for a reasonable rate.

Unreal flavours - Edit
Blown away by the lovely staff and incredible flavours of this restaurant! I tried the eggplant ceviche as well as the spring cleaning dish… both items off the seasonal menu which was gluten and sugar free. Pricey but I can say that I will never forget this meal.

Meshek Barzilay - Edit
We heard a lot about the restaurant and decided to come especially and try the vegan abundance. We took the special winter dish which is the Avistar steak made from wild mushrooms that comes on a bed of potatoes with a side of rice.
Read moreIn addition we took the tortellini and for the first course the rapunzel made up of layers of avocado, beets, lima cream, onion with buckwheat crackers. In terms of appearance all the dishes are super impressive and meticulously served. The dish that I think is a must is the pink and black tortilla dish with artichoke filling and crystalline garlic. An excellent dish that is wonderfully seasoned.
The opening dish also had an impressive look similar to a layered cake but the flavors were less special.
The special mushrooms dish had potential I just think the sauce was superfluous and somewhat overpowered the taste of the mushrooms which individually were excellent with a taste of juicy steak. For dessert we took hot chocolate and lemon tart in addition to the cheesecake we got as a surprise on the house. The lemon tart is amazing with a strong lemon flavor and the parfait cream on top has a melted marshmallow flavor. The service is nice but a bit slow and the restaurant is large and elegant.
Pros: lots of vegan options, fully vegan
Cons: service a bit slow

Nice place but zero Covid enforcement - Edit
The best thing about this restaurant is the beautiful physical environment. The food was nice...but the only dish which had a "wow" factor was the curried tempeh. The other food was nice but lacked strong flavors, and the tofu dish was way too salty.
Read moreThe waitresses were okay, but helpless and hopeless when it came to allowing an aggressive beggar come inside and beg from table to table. And worse than that, they failed to ask for Tav Yarok (proof of Covid vaccination) even though we were sitting inside, and windows were closed. In addition, none of the wait staff wore a mask (fines, anyone???)
Pros: Nice sitting area and building, Yummy curried tempeh, Affordable, good value, some other pleasant dishes
Cons: Didn't keep an aggressive beggar out, Zero enforcement of Covid legislation, Tofu dish too salty

My vegan journey began here. - Edit
I lived in Tel Aviv for years and never fully committed to eating here. All of that changed in 2019 when I finally remembered this spot and decided to try it. I was skeptical of course because I never really had vegan food before. Well, all I can say is that I’m so thankful that I did because Meshek Barzilay had the most incredible entrees and desserts I’ve ever had in my entire life. The food is incredible and it’s so insanely fresh. The atmosphere inside is so laidback and chill. I bow down to the chefs and staff over here. Thank you for inspiring me to love and appreciate vegan food and the lifestyle.

We wanted to try this nice all vegan restaurant in the heart of Neve Tzedek for my husband’s birthday on a Friday evening. A reservation is a must… otherwise you’ll wait long to get a table. The menu is great and has lots of different options, the ingredients are all organic and the taste was really great.
Read moreThe atmosphere is cozy, laid back and friendly.
The staff is the real struggle. This was definitely not the best first impression but we decided to give them a chance seeing how popular the restaurant was.
They try to ignore you as long as they can. the mains were placed on the table with no words, no comments: stoped by-placed-went away.
Same procedure for the rest and it was quite difficult to get their attention for anything even for the check.
All in all the food experience is good.
Pros: Food , Atmosphere , Location
Cons: Staff , Staff, Staff

This staff attitude is typical in Israel. You have to ask as they never anticipate the customer's needs. Once you understand the culture it's not as bothersome.
