Clean, good selection and relatively inexpensive, although more expensive than the Thai vegan (jae) shops located in the city. Since most of their customers are mainland Chinese or western, the food is toned down a lot in terms of seasoning and spiciness, as some of the other reviewers here have noted. Some of the dishes are downright bland. Many of their offerings are geared towards foreign palates and are not Thai at all, such as fried mock pork burgers. I tried a bean curry, which of course is not Thai, and it was nearly tasteless.

If you want to eat in, there is a small crowded space with long benches that is shared with other vendors. It gets quite busy and there is not always a seat available.

Incredible food and service

As an expat vegan in Chiang mai, this is my go to spot for daily food. The food is high quality, has oil free options, and the service is incredible. The price is so cheap too. Literally there almost every single day.

Pros: All vegan , Amazing service, So cheap

Nicest staff in the world

Great food choice, mostly vegan. We ate here nearly every day we stayed in Chiang Mai because it was so convenient. Be careful if you order Khao soi because it comes with crispy fried egg noodles - just let them know you’re vegan! The staff are honestly some of the friendliest people we’ve met on our travels, so kind and polite and always up for a chat.

Good food at a great price

Good options for under 100 baht. They cook with olive oil and have brown rice. Some options not cooked with oil at all.

Delicious food, amazing value

Lots of choices and you can get any two items plus rice for 60B. The portion is big enough for a large lunch for one or a smaller meal for two to share. The lady who served us was very polite, helpful and spoke some English. Will definitely be returning.

Pros: Very affordable, Decent sized portions, Really tasty food

Such a good find

We weren't even looking for a place to eat but we couldn't say no when we saw the food and prices! 50 baht for rice plus three items including meaty mushrooms, jack fruit curry and all sorts.

Delicious and cheap food, nice staff

I spent ten days in Chiang Mai and I visited this stall almost every day!
The food is so tasty and fresh, especially I recommend the fried shredded mushrooms and garlic chives cakes :)
The staff is super friendly, always smiling and really helpful.

Next time in Chiang Mai I will definitely go back!

Pros: large selection of meals, take away, nice staff

Cons: not a lot of seating, sometimes could be closed

Delicious, inexpensive food and super friendly staff! (speaks english)

They have a variety of prepared food which you can choose from but you can order warm dishes (e.g. curries, soup...) as well.
If you want you can add a good selection of mock meat or fried tofu (got a whole block of tofu for 25 baht).

I came her two times and everything I had was delish!

Pros: Friendly staff, Yummy food, Cheap

Vegan food in the mall!

This veg (almost vegan) food stall is very convenient if you're shopping at the Maya Mall. It's specialized in faux-meat (sausages) and also offers traditional thai dishes. I took their sausages and skewers and their burger. The burger was good (but not exceptional) and the sausages were very good. They are homemade and have great texture and flavor. Prices are fair and the staff is very friendly. A good find in this area of Chiang Mai!

Pros: good faux-meat, cheap, convenient, friendly staff

Cons: not 100% vegan?

Dirt cheap & super nice!

Sooooo cheap for great food. The staff were really friendly, pointed out all the dishes for us & asked if we liked spicy or not. They also offered to heat our food for us so that everything was hot. The best place to go to save some pennies in Chiang Mai.

Pros: Tasty vegan food, Crazy cheap, Great staff

cheapest and best meaty mushrooms

Cheap meals (50 baht for rice and choice of 3 dishes) which are super tasty, especially the meaty mushrooms which they have in other vegan restaurants in Thailand but much more expensive. Great place!

Cheapest Eats in Town!

So many dishes to choose from on white or brown rice for the least amount of money you will spend on a vegan meal in Chiang Mai. They are always happy to see you.

Must haves: spring rolls, whatever the dish with tomatoes and tofu noodly things is and the MUSHROOM SAUSAGES. Those sausages are unlike any vegan meat substitute I've had. SO good!

I always make sure to come here when on the Nimman side of town as there is not many other options in the area, but just be prepared for them to be closed randomly.

Pros: Many dishes to choose from, very cheap, friendly staff

Cons: not a lot of seating, can be closed at random days of the week

Excellent food and very friendly staff!!

The soups and pretty much every dish we've tried is excellent! Very good prices and friendly staff as well. Only downside is eating in the food court.

Good, Cheap, Thai Food

One of the better places in town to get 'grab and go' Thai food. I don't recommend sitting and eating in the shared area as it's very squashed and you need to share with other people eating meat products from the other stalls.
For a take home place it's great! You can find products that are not all fried such as the fresh spring rolls or somtam. The other dishes are cooked well and not too oily like so many of the other places to seem to be. One of the rare Thai vegan places that I actually like.

Pros: Not oily, Cheap, Huge menu

Cons: No place to sit and eat unless you want to share

While the prices at this place are very cheap in comparison to other vegan restaurants around town, the taste of food was not very good. All of the food is vegan. good to have a place like this with vegan options if you are doing shopping.

absolutely brilliant!

What can I say apart from this is the best value and the tastiest vegan food I've had in Chiang Mai! 40 THB for brown rice and a choice of two dishes. Lots of flavour! Vegan garlic and chive cake, mushroom 'sausage', tofu 'meatballs', so much variety I've be going there everyday for a week now. Family-run place where they are super friendly with big smiles. It's in the basement of the Maya Mall which is basically a food court so be prepared for places selling meat dishes around you.

Pros: great value, plenty of choice, full of flavour

Cheap & tasty. Downstairs food court.

Please note this is in the downstairs, below street level food court, not the upstairs food court.

There are no 'Jay' flags, and indeed the girls asked me (in decent English) if I wanted egg noodles in my Khao Soi soup.

The soup was cheap and tasty. Could be spicier, but that's just me.

Pros: Tasty , Cheap , All veg

Cons: None really
