So Good!

The atmosphere is really cool but the food is outstanding. Got the onion rings as an appetizer which had a really good sauce that came with and that was amazing and then got the Chicken Ranch Sandwich with the spicy aioli and it’s literally one of the best vegan chicken burgers I’ve ever had. The fries were great, I also tried the animal style fries and the spicy chicken wrap which was good!

Excellent dive!

This place is a divey metal bar and I say that in the best way possible. The vibe is excellent and there are a lot of cool people to meet and talk to. They have live music on the weekends, too! The food is all fried but it’s really good. I’m glad I got a chance to stop in while in SLC!

Delicious Burger!

I ordered a cheeseburger with grilled onions and it was delicious 😋 extra crispy fries were amazing too

I also tried the chixn parmesan sandwich which was okay, but it wasn't as good...couldnt really taste the cheese and the sauce was missing something...

The chocolate chip cookie was soft and scrumptious - highly recommend!

Pros: All vegan

Good junk food

I got the Animal Liberation Fries for my first fry sauce experience. They were yum. Don't be sad that there are dry fries on the outside—there are more than enough toppings to go around. The fries were shoestring, which isn't my favorite, but still good.

One of the best

Always a good meal here. The fried pickles are one of my favorite things to order. Always so hard deciding between a savory lunch or dinner option or a sweet breakfast, they are all so good.

Huge breakfast with Seitanic vibes

I ordered the Garbage Hash, which is a huge pile of hash browns, tofu scramble, seitan sausage, peppers, and mushrooms on a bed of spinach. It was delicious and satisfying. It’s nice to find a place with a hearty breakfast that doesn’t skimp on the protein. And they balance it with a decent amount of vegetables.

Pros: Huge portions, Lots of protein, Vegetables are included in the dish

Cons: More bread options would be nice

Gets the job done

A metal bar with competent food and nice people. The burger I had was not Impossible (as stated by another reviewer), and since when do vegans not dig wheat gluten? It’s true I wasn’t crazy about anything I had there (guacamole burger and spicy chicken wrap) but all together it’s pretty good vegan bar food with a long menu and house-made meats.

Sad that I can’t take this place in by night. It was a lucky lunch spot for my weekend in SLC.

Didn’t order food …read why

Upon walking in the place smelled of urin and beer, more like a bar alleyway than a restaurant…the chicken is wheat gluten and the burgers are impossible and the kitchen staff looked filthy. We turned around and walked out.

Pros: Vegan restaurant

Cons: Smelled foul walking in, Staff looked dirty, Ingredients are not anything we would eat

Peak comfort food

I absolutely loved their chicken with waffles and cheese steak sandwich. The waffles in particular were delightfully fluffy with a crisp exterior. The cheese steak was packed with flavor. Also, the place’s vibe is unique with tons of punk, leftist, and vegan decor. You have to come here if you are visiting SLC!

Dive bar aesthetic with comfort food

First, the place looks cool. And it's all vegan. My son wanted to check it out, so we went there in the evening, arriving about an hour before closing on a Saturday night.

We seemed to be the only customers. Maybe staff was tired, but they were not exactly attentive (I don't expect a lot, but a hi/bye is always nice) and everything seemed a little grungy, eg lukewarm water in glasses that didn't look very clean.

My food was not great, overcooked and way too greasy for me, and I picked at it. The other members of my party finished their dishes and felt ill afterwards. Beastro may feel like "comfort" to most people, and the ratings suggest that diners love the food, but I would not return.

All the food was awesome!

I have been excited to try this place since we planned our trip to SLC. First of all, the 666 theme is hilarious. All the food we tried was great, my boyfriend was obsessed with the Buffalo “chicken” wrap; I had the Beast salad which was the perfect combo of veggies and protein. The ranch dressing is also great. We also tried the fried PB&J as for some reason this had never crossed our minds as a great idea and it was melty and delicious. Also super friendly server who chatted with me about our cats!!

Amazing Vegan Diner Food!

This place blew my mind! I love that they have breakfast all day and the menu is full of delicious comfort food options. It’s a casual spot connected to a music venue where you order at the counter and seat yourself and they will bring your food to your table. They were slammed for Sunday brunch,
but everything came out great. We had the chicken and waffles, animal style fries, chopped cheese, and biscuit and gravy (only available Sundays) and everything was incredible! I will dream about this place! Do not hesitate to check them out!

Pros: The food

Unique Place

The decor is the first thing one notices but the next was the staff’s friendliness. I had the Cobb salad and enjoyed the flavor combination.

Pros: Setting, Parking wasn’t hard to find

Cons: I think my expectations were too high

Unexpected

Excited again to support a plant based/vegan restaurant! Love seeing the big sign out front with VEGAN prominently displayed. We dined for brunch on a Sunday at 12p. Interior is dark and funky with retro shows playing on the monitor behind the bar. We shared the garbage hash and a waffle; getting our fix of sweet and salty. The hash was a great mix of shredded potatoes, sausage, mushrooms, peppers and more. The waffle was simple and airy; satisfying the sweet tooth when smothered in syrup.

Pros: Fun menu items , Nice staff

Cool environment

Placed at no. 666 on the street, the interior reflected that - a grungy haunted house mix that was very cool. The wait staff were far from scary however and very attentive. I had the classic burger with salad and a side of fried pickles. The burger patty had the flavour of a moving mountains burger the texture was much less ‘meat like’ which was pleasant. My first experience of fried pickles was also a good one!
