You create your own healthy meals. A massive relief in Spain for us after a very carb heavy vegetarian/vegan choices - pizza and potatoes!!

As we were running out of dedicated vegan and vegetarian places to try in Valencia, we then considered Margarita thinking we'd have a very mediocre experience. Fortunately, plant based and vegan items were clearly labelled on their menu which is a major plus! After the food arrived, we quickly realised how great the food was which was surprising. The flavours and how well seasoned everything was truly excellent. On top of that, the food was very filled because the portion sizes were incredible and everything was reasonably priced!

El lugar es muy bonito y acogedor y se encuentra en pleno centro. La comida está riquísima y la cantidad de los platos es genial. No es un restaurante vegano pero tiene muchísimas opciones veganas, siendo las veganas las que más hay. Puedes elegir entrantes, Market food (plato completo con guarnición y salsa), ensaladas, hamburguesas y postres. Muy recomendable

We ordered a vegetarian version of the salad and when we bit into the mock meat it turned out to be chicken. We called the waitress over and she took our plates away and took them to the correct table. Our meal arrived, it was fine but we won’t go again.

Good selection, unclear labels - Edit
Good seleccion of vegan options and many can be veganized (for 1€ extra cost). There was an option to build your own bowl with protein of your choice or burgers. There was also one vegan dessert brownie. Unfortunately there is some unclear labeling with ”v” mark and ”plantbased”. Cause of this I accidentally ordered a plant based burger that contained cheese, which of course could’ve been avoided by if I had reassured this when ordering. It was still unfortunate that the labels are a bit misleading. The burger was otherwise okay but the sidefries were a bit small. Next time visiting I’ll make sure to ask what is vegan!

As of today Margarito is one of my favourite vegan-friendly places in Valencia. To find that all their tapas dishes are plant based was a pleasant surprise.

Service is friendly, attentive and smiley, decor tasteful, chairs comfy!

We bumped into that restaurant completely by chance and I'm glad we tried it. It's an excellent option if you're meeting up with non-vegan friends as they offer a wide range of options and everyone can customise their dishes as they like, including sauces. I was also pleasantly surprised they offered gluten-free bread on the side when I mentioned my intolerance. If this restaurant was fully vegan (or at least vegetarian), it would get 5 stars from me.

Read moreThe chips and guacamole were really tasty and I enjoyed my burger as well (with a few different types of burgers as well as Huera mock chicken). One thing that one finds in many parts of Spain is under-flavoring and over-saucing of vegan/vegetarian foods. Not the case here, however, and glad we got pointed here.

Great choice - most things on the menu can be veganised, and everything we had was very tasty. Only one vegan dessert (chocolate brownie) but it was very nice. (Would give 5 stars if the app didn't reserve it for fully vegan places.)

El restaurant es muy bonito y me parecio elegante. La atención fue increible y la comida muy exquisita. Pedimos tofu a la plancha con proteinas, el tofu estaba sofrito y un poco desabrido, ya que la salsa no cubria todo el tofu, aparte de eso los acompañamientos estaban increibles.
