Fresh falafel

Maoz falafel were perfect. Price was good for a budget. The salad bar where you could return and add toppings had a variety of veggies and sauces. Staff were super friendly. Only con is it's very small and can get very packed. Also they have a bathroom!

the best falafels!

Amazing spot, choose from falafel pita on wholemeal or white or a falafel salad. Comes with a choice of humous and lettuce, then take your pita/salad and stuff from salad bar including chickpeas, onions, carrots, olive dressing. Alone costs around €5 or add fresh cut fries and drink for €8. So delicious. If vegan avoid the slaw and white sauces as stated below

Pros: stuff with salad of your choice, quick service , price

Cons: limited seating , can be very busy

Good reliable felafel!

They have these in loads of cities around Europe.
Always good, always really filling. Usually pretty tiny cramped shops though, so the dining experience is pretty bad.

Lots of options.. Stay away from the white sauces as they won't be vegan of course. That's pretty obvious!

Pros: cheap, big portions, lots of options

Cons: tiny shops , uncomfortable

Falafel heaven

What more could you want that a hummus falafel pitta with all you can eat salad. For a food chain, this is a great and healthy vegan option.

Great topping options from sun-dried tomato, roasted cauliflower, olive pesto, to cabbage and carrots. Many options for sauces including an awesome tahini.

Yummy crispy chips too.

Pros: It's mainly vegan, with some lactose. All you

Cons: Not necessarily organic and they use plastic cutle

amazing!

I stumbled across this place after trying another vegan deli which was closed. It was a true find. The pitta bread falafel salad was delicious. I stuffed mine so full of things from the deli it kept me full all day and was so good! The best vegan take out I've ever had. Also very reasonably priced.

Pros: delicious , fair price, filling!

Cons: very small amount of inside seating

Perfect Falafel Bar

The falafel are the best we have ever eaten and come with delicious, soft pita bread which they fill with hummus and salad for you. You then get to help yourself to toppings such as onions, tomatoes, chickpea salad, chillis etc etc (only one non vegan topping) and all but three sauces are vegan. The chips they do are soooo good, lovely and crispy.
They have a great meal deal of a pita & falafel, chips and a drink for a good price (cant remember how much, about 7.50 euros I think).
As others have said, this place gets BUSY and even if you do manage to get a seat its not the most comfortable as its quite cramped. When its quiet its perfect here.
We returned a number of times as its such good value and delicious.

Pros: Great falafel, Self service salad bar

Cons: Not 100% vegan, Not a lot of seating room

Quick, tasty and cheap

If you like falafel, you will not leave this place hungry! So nice and welcoming staff, and you get a lot for your money. The salad bar only have one thing not vegan, and three sauces not vegan. You can also fill up from the salad bar as often as you please.

Pros: Nice staff, cheap, tasty

Cons: The place is very small, and can get crowded

We had a busy sight seeing morning and we're over joyed to find this little cafe. The food was delicious, tasty and wholesome. The service was fantastic, the young men were very polite and made every effort to make sure all customers were satisfied. Well done!

yummy place

I have been there once, and I absolutely adore it since I'm a big fan of falafel. The prices are adequate, and I love the fact that you have a buffet of "toppings", that you can repeat unlimitedly. The fries are also very good and the staff nice. It also has a great location, just close of las ramblas! If you want something quick, delicious and cheap this is the place to go :)

Tasty, small, busy, messy

In general, I think this is the cheapest vegan food in Barcelona. The pita falafel was very good, we also used a lot of toppings from the salad bar. Very filling.
However, the place is super small, it's busy most of the time and the limited seating area wasn't clean at all.
Still, it's a very good place to grab a bite.
4 cows, because some sauces are not vegan.

Pros: Tasty, Huge pita falafel, Cheap

Cons: Small place, Busy and messy, Limited seating area

Cheap and convenient

We visited here twice during our recent stay mainly out of convenience as it is open till late. On offer you can get a meal deal consisting of falafel, chips and a drink for about €12 or just buy a falafel individually for about €5. We decided to just get a falafel with one white pita and one wholemeal pita, which was tasty but nothing special. However, you can use the salad bar to refill as many times as you want, which was great with some good salad selections available. Unfortunately the shop can be very congested when busy and with limited seating available this can be very frustrating and time consuming. On the second occasion we visited I was extremely disappointed with one particular instance I witnessed where a staff member actually brought a selection of open meat sandwiches into the shop to eat whilst on their break. I'm not saying you have to be vegan to work at vegan outlets but at least show some respect. I just hope they washed their hands thoroughly. I doubt we will return next time around.

Pros: Cheap, Refils available, Convenience

Cons: Busy , Limited seating, Staff could be more respectful

Cheap, healthy and tasty falafel

Falafel! It costs only 4,9€ and it is sooo good. Served with pita bread or in a bowl plus a bunch of veggie add-ons: baked cauliflowers, lentils, pickles, tomatoes, hummus... Everything, excepting one salad is vegan. And you can refill your pita as much as you want. Downside: cash only.

Pros: tasty, cheap, good location and opening hours

Cons: cash only

Classic pita falafel with salad stuffing

Maoz is a classic and I´ve enjoyed their pita falafels and salads also in Amsterdam and London (but they are not in London anymore). Their falafels are better than average, but the idea in coming here is to stuff your pita full of marinated vegetables from the salad buffet. Don´t finish your pita straight away, you may go and stuff it again, and again! They had great marinated carrots, lentil sauce, sun dried tomatoes, olives, vinegar cabbage etc. and you may to everything with tahina and hot sauces.

Pros: You can restuff your pita!

Cons: Very crowded, no space to sit down

The service was great, woman working was very helpful and a fast worker. The self-serve toppings bar is a great idea, so many choices! Everything was fresh, well priced and lots of vegan friendly options. Look forward to returning.

Pros: Service, Options

Cons: Not many places to sit (more of a fast food restau

Great food, lousy staff

We went to this Maoz location early June 2015 in the late afternoon and the salad bar had lots of fresh options. Also the falafels were decent. The staff however ruined the meal to a large extent. On arrival we were ignored for a couple of minutes, until the guy behind the counter had finished his text message. The rest of the service was unfriendly and kept to a minimum. The three guys working there were busy playing practical jokes on each other and checking out the girls passing the place.

We do not recommend going there, in the area there are far better veg options.

Pros: Fresh food, location

Cons: Lousy staff

Nice price, nice falafel!

Just 4€ and you get a Pitta (whole wheat or white) or a bowl to fill many times as you want...
Include 4 little falafel (fried)
Is good and fast !
The options are many and all types of cooked. They use many herbs to add taste, and you have different types of sauces to choose !
Enjoy your meal!

Pros: Hippie falafel ! (travellers option), Fast and delicious, Amazing price

Cons: Fried, ¿?Quality¿?

Good Food Silly Rules

The all you can eat buffet is a bit deceiving. Of you order the meal in pita bread and think you will want seconds, make sure you east the salad inside the pita and don't finish the bread as you can't get more salad without bread to put it in. Of you decide to get the salad option you can keep refilling the container...

Pros: Nice Falafel

Cons: Unenthusiastic Staff

Does the trick - as always

Maoz always delivers excellent value, and, amazingly, this was one of the best meals I had in Barcelona. The falafel was super fresh and the salad bar was the usual splendid-ness. You can't miss here, unless it's super busy, which would be deserved. Fair prices, yummy food. All good!
