Top !! - Edit
The place to be pour manger sur le pouce !

Delicious falafel at a low cost - Edit
We bought falafel pitas that had fresh falafel, hummus and whatever you wanted to put in them. It was delicious and really filling and only cost us 5,5€! The lady who sold us the pitas was really nice and helpful and I'll definitely come back to get more

Falafel! - Edit
Another maoz in a prime tourist destination area. Conveniently located near Paradiso and the Melkweg is great to grab a bite before going to a concert. Indifferent service and very limited seating.

The best Maoz location in Amsterdam! Vegan proof! - Edit
Of the 3 locations this is the best 1 in Amsterdam. The food just tastes fresher and better than the other locations. The coleslaw and some sauses are not vegan but the rest is.
Read moreThey always ask you which size pita you want and if you want a regular or whole meal pita. They gladly explain everything.
So definitely recommend this place!
Although be aware it's very small and you can't always sit down to eat.
Pros: Cheap , Fresh food & vegan proof, Nice and friendly personnel
Cons: Really small shop, busy all the time

Fresh, fast & fulfilling. - Edit
This was my second time here, the food is delicious with the immense salad options to add to your falafel. The aubergine fritters & chips were excellent healthy/unhealthy additions. The first time I took 6 none vegetarians & they all loved it too. I ate here recently with my brother a few times, and I'm sure the next time I visit Amsterdam I'll eat here again!

All that you can expect from a Maoz Falafel - Edit
Vegetarian/Vegan place, I find the concept cool but really unhygienic, everybody putting their hands into the salad bowl, well..

Great, quick, easy option in heart of Amsterdam - Edit
Went to Maoz a couple of times during my trip to Amsterdam last year, both the one on Damrak and Leidsestraat. Fantastic falafel, unlimited, and tasty, salad top ups - which goes great with the eggplant and feta options provided. Both times I went it was quite busy and there's a reason why; delicious, huge portions, quick and cheap!

A veggie heaven to take away - Edit
With three Maoz Vegetarian restaurants ideally located, Amsterdam can make veggie people really happy! This Maoz is located in a pedestrian part of the city centre. You can easily take away your sandwich to eat it along one of the canal. I really liked the food, which is quite the same from a Maoz location to another. I systematically took the eggplant and hummus supplement in my sandwich, and that was great! The veggie topping were varied and good. Even though the staff is not particulary friendly, it is relatively efficient if the restaurant is crowded.

In Maoz we Trust - Edit
You simply can't go wrong with this tried and tested falafel gold plated chain. Always great value and tasty falafel is guaranteed. Fast food at its best and the fries are fabulous. Great location just of Leidseplein and Prinsengracht. Maoz has always been firm on my veggie agenda whenever in Amsterdam ever since my first visit in 2002. Function, not romance.

Great fast-food chain - Edit
I really like Maoz shops in Amsterdam. They enable vegetarian or other falafel-lovers to enjoy a healthy fastfood lunch. You can eat a white or brown pita with falafel and humus. You add your own salad to the pita. Watch out for the olive pits!

Great nearly-all-vegan unlimited salad bar to go with freshly made falafel - the only thing that could make this place better is more seats please!

Cheap, greasy, fried veggie fast food - Edit
I was searching for the Montplein location and stumbled on this one. Certainly not healthy fare, but if you are hungry and want fast, cheap and hot this one will do. The falafel and fries are cooked in front of you in a deep frier and the patrons stand around and eat while double dipping the fillings out of a salad bar setup. At least it is posted as a vegetarian place on the Maoz sign. No meat on menu but I saw feta cheese coming out of a can. On the 1 and 2 tram line to Central Station and close to the famous Bulldog cafe and the Leidseplein. Bohemian area.

unsanitary - Edit
Amsterdam Maoz are on the fail list. I'm so surprised no one has gotten herpes eating at these Maoz? First off the guy behind the counter handles your cash, the spoons that everyone touches, the door knobs, etc and your pita bread... secondly everyone eats their pita and mid way fills it back up, touching spoon to their mouth juices and vice versa. A place like this would be closed down in any sane part of the world. They need to do them like the Maoz in Madrid.

Best fast food - Edit
I usually eat here before I go to a concert in a venue around the corner (been there dozens of times over the last decade). Last time (March 4th) food was again great. Great falafel, selection of pita bread (whole wheat, plain or small), selection of sauce and unlimited salad bar! Since some years they have added fries to the menu, but refilling your pita over and over agian with salad is way better.

Vegan fast food - Edit
Great fast food outlets (there are about 5 in Amsterdam and pretty much in most main European cities) that allows you to choose your bread, filling (falafels, homous etc) and then add your salad at the end. Very useful and easy to get a vegan snack when you're out and about. Food is cooked fresh, bread toasted etc for you while you wait. Recommended.

Can't go wrong here - Edit
Nice little place to get an affordable delicious meal in Amsterdam. The falafel is first rate and the salad topping bar alone is worth the trip. Small little place without much room to sit down (only a counter), but lovely canal right nearby if you want to take your food and sit out on a sunny day. I would avoid the fries myself. They were not fresh cut (frozen) and there are better to be found in Amsterdam
