Good vegan fast food - Edit
The prices are pretty good for vegan fast food 2.95 euro for regular size fries (and 2.45 euro for small fries). Everything is vegan! I liked the spicy Mayo!

Delicious and cheap - Edit
Extremely affordable compared to other places in Amsterdam. Delicious and you can fill your pita with so many options available. They prepare the falafels or the eggplant for you and after it's self service.

pushy staff albeit convenient - Edit
been back a few times and the guy working there was rushing everyone through picking their toppings which is very contradictory to the setup. All Maoz kind of taste the same so this is solid. Fries are a little off though, a bit burnt. I’ve tried to stop by a few times late at night but their doors have been locked before their posted time.

Ok for a quick bite to eat - Edit
Their offer is very simple, mainly falafel and fries. Although I appreciate the fact that it's relatively cheap, I'm not the biggest fan of the self-service concept. I'm quite bad when it comes to choosing what to put in the falafel, not to mention how to make it without losing half of it on the floor. Anyway, very convenient when you want to grab something to eat after a night out.

Good falafel and one of the cheapest options around - Edit
Six euro gets you either a salad bowl or pita with four falafel. You order, pay, sit down while they finish frying the falafel and put it in your bowl or salad, then you get up, grab it, and cram in as many veggies and sauces as you can possibly fit. Assuming you're skilled in the art of veggie stuffing, you can get a pretty decent size serving, which makes it one of the cheapest vegan meals you'll find in uptown.
Read moreThe falafel themselves are better than you'd expect from a fast food chain, and if you get them right out of the fryer they're fantastic. The pita has good chew and tasted pretty fresh, which is always nice, and the sauces help make the veggies a bit more interesting. Fries were pretty dang good, too.
Staff were very pleasant and patient with my non-Dutch speaking confused self who didn't quite understand how the ordering system worked at first.

Easy - Edit
The Maoz is a chain that is often found in Amsterdams. You can make your own falafel or put together a bowl. The prices are reasonable and there is a wide range of ingredients :)

Cheap and customisable - Edit
I used to work very close to this shop and this would be my go-to option for lunch. It is cheap, highly customisable as you just receive the base - whether you pick a salad, a mushroom shoarma or falafel pita - and you can add all the ingredients you want on top yourself, from salads to different pickles and various sauces. It can get very messy if like me you cannot resist adding a big selection of flavours 😅 but other than that it’s great and quite cheap! Menu options with fries and drink also available, under 7€ if I remember correctly. Great for a quick bite and now fully vegan! 🌱

Tasty Fries! - Edit
I just got an order of the fries with the spicy mayo. It was tasty. Nothing to special but it really hit the spot and you can never go wrong with fries! It was nice finding this place because usually I can’t have the sauces at the other frie places because they are not vegan. This place is all vegan so that was awesome! The sauce is the best part so I indulged in the spicy mayo.

Sehr gut ... - Edit
Wenn ich in Amsterdam bin, führt kein Weg an Maoz vorbei. Super Leckere Falafel in einer Pita. Die Pita kann dann nach Lust und Laune selbst belegt werden mit allerhand leckeren Zutaten.

Your go-to spot, especially after 10pm :-) - Edit
Surprisingly tasty with a wide variety of veggies, given that it's so affordable. You can pick up a very filling falafel pocket/sandwich for under €6. Oh, they give you the pita pocket with lettuce and falafels and you stuff it with veggies and sauces. If you're enjoy(ed) playing tetris or take loading dishes in the dishwasher seriously, this will be extremely gratifying for you.
Read moreStaff is nice, falafels are usually freshly made, and the hours are very accommodating. When all other spots are closed, Maoz will be right there waiting for you.😄
Pros: Tasty, Filling, Affordable
Cons: If only the pita was bigger to fit more stuff ;-)

Excellent. Friendly staff. This is a chain with a few other locations in Amsterdam. The falafel was excellent and they use sunflower seed oil to fry. Enjoy!

Great falafel, disgusting “shoarma” - Edit
Convenient place for when you visit Melkweg or Paradiso. Had great falafel a few times. This time a tried a new item on the menu...: the so-called shoarma. My advice: do not eat this. I repeat: do not eat this. It’s just half fried close to raw mushrooms. If that’s your thing: go for it. If it’s not: avoid it like death, like I will. Very disappointing.

Delicious falafel. Even a wholemeal pita. And you can add vegetables and vegan sauces yourself! If you sit down to eat you inspire many others to go inside (just a shop window: people watch and be watched)
