Well-stocked natural food market stocking everything one needs. Has fresh fruit and vegetable including local and organic, bulk staples, frozen and refrigerated food, packaged dried food, a separate vitamins and supplements section. The in-house bakery makes fresh breads and pastries, including labeled vegan cookies, scones, and cakes. The deli is not all veg but includes vegan hot foods, a salad bar, prepared raw wraps, changing soups, and sushi. Has a drinking water machine inside. Housed in a rustic, old building with parking lot available. Inside to the left of the store is Maka beverage bar. Open Mon-Sun 8:00am-8:30pm.

stoned hippys munchie dreamland - Edit
Wow, wow, wow! You would never know from the exterior what a vegan wonderland is housed inside. There is an innsane selection of vegan cookies, cakes, scones, cupcakes, etc. There is also a deli and salad bar that is well stocked with great vegan dishes. The best thing about manna is that they seem to have every flavor of everything they stock from bars to cookies to ice cream.

Great for lunch and groceries - Edit
They have many delicious vegan options in their hot bar, plus bulk bins and lots of grocery items important for vegan cooking (even 2-lb blocks of tofu!). We went there 4-5 times during our week-long stay on Maui.

Pretty good store - Edit
Nice variety of food. Bulk bins. Price are a little high on some items and a little low on others so it mostly evens out to reasonable pricing, in my opinion. Lots of vegan options. They have the Just folded egg patties which is nice. I have trouble finding those other places.
Read moreMinus one point for no alcohol. Had to go to the (horribly located) gas station down the street to get beer.

Mana Foods - Edit
I've been shopping at this store for several years and love it. They offer loads of vegan and health conscious items. The selection is amazing. I often pick up incredible local fruit and veg from here in addition to vegan items and delicious vegan items from their incredible hot bar. Love this local store versus chains such as WFM.

My holy place - Edit
Mana Foods is my dream grocer located in my dream location. Every food brand I love? Check. Tons of vegan pastries and bread options? Check. Old hippies and young hipsters congregating outside? Check. It’s like Berkeley Bowl or Rainbow Foods set in paradise.

My Go-To Grocery Store when in Pa'ia - Edit
This is the grocery store to visit when you are in Pa'ia or on the Road to Hana. They have everything that you can think of. What I love most about this place is that they also have ready to-go foods such as vegan sushi rolls and vegan spring rolls.

Great Grocery for Vegans - Edit
Mana is a great grocery store. Ideal for stocking up before going on the Road to Hana, the North Shore for surfing, Lumeria for a retreat or just being in the area.
Read moreIt has a great amount of fresh, organic produce. Tons of local items, too. A bit pricey, then again much of this is expected in Maui. Interestingly, some of the prices on non-food items rival or best those of high end, mainland groceries.
Also has a large and deep offering of ‘health and beauty’ products, including Dr Bronners, Badger, etc etc. This store has everything you’ll need.
Great place for vegans!
Pros: Lots of vegan options, Organic galore
Cons: Expensive

It is expensive (but so is everything in Hawaii) but the options they have are unbelievable. The local vegan cookies and banana bread were the bomb and they were HUGE! Worth every penny!!!!

Good selection of vegan staples! - Edit
Mana Foods is a health food store with a pretty large selection (for Hawai’i standards) of vegan staples. They carry everything from hot deli items/grab and go items to vegan desserts and all the staples like vegan meats, cheeses and frozen goods. They also have a pretty large bulk section which is great. Pricing is better than Down to Earth market but the shopping experience at Mana can be a bit hectic and crowded in comparison. I also prefer the vegan hot bar items at Down to Earth but that may just be my preference. Something that I didn’t figure out until my third visit is that if you park in the paid lot behind Mana they validate an hour of parking with your purchase! This is a lifesaver because parking in this area is horrendous and you could be circling for a spot for what seems like forever. Overall a good place to stop and stock up if you are in need of vegan food!

excellent healthy supermarket - Edit
As already said, this is not entirely vegan but the assortment is huge. It is just like the usual supermarkets but with only good and healthy products. The store is small and everything is a bit cramped, especially if you brought your kids;) but you quickly forget about this limitation since they have all you need. Prices are very competitive! Definitely recommend it.

Great store - Edit
If you're driving out to Hana right after arriving in Maui like we did, this store is the perfect place to get stocked up on supplies. The interior is a bit cramped but selections are very good. Lots of local fruits—this is the only place where I saw red bananas for sale during my weeklong vacation. The deli food was also great and had plenty for vegans.

Saw this market listing on happycow many years ago and have shopped here countless times over the years. Was just here again this week. Here's my Maui Mana Foods review update.
Read moreIt's in the heart of Paia town. Appears old school from the outside. Inside features comprehensive selections of all kinds of foods. Great local fresh fruit, sprouts, and veggies. Vegan options at the hot food bar where ingredients are labeled. I like the vegan scones. I would shop here regularly if I lived in this area.

Favorite health food spot - Edit
The prices here are very fair. Locals say its because Mana owns their building as opposed to the other health food stores that are leasing. I price compare a lot and they are competitive with mainland pricing on most items.
Read moreThey have a great variety of options. As a vegetarian, I appreciate that they sell high quality meat and fish, for the non veggies of course, because its a great offering to show what real quality is.

Pros: Great pricing, Lots of variety, The deli is amazing
Cons: Parking sucks, Store is small

Everything we needed at Mana - Edit
Mana was our go-to stop for vegan takeaway everything, including groceries, while we visited Maui. We paid more than if we shopped elsewhere, but we loved the convenience of having everything vegan in one stop. The salad bar and hot bar were both stocked with as many choices as we could handle. We also purchased baked goods, deli-packed desserts, dips and dressings, and raw kefir parfait for breakfasts. Mana was a great option for convenience of shopping and taking meals when restaurants weren't open, though parking was not always convenient. The Mana parking lot several blocks up the street always had spaces, but sometimes we were lugging bags of groceries in the dark.

Favorite Grocery Store in Hawaii - Edit
Mana is a Maui destination in itself. You will find everything here, packed into a relatively small building (they even have a kitchen gadgets section that stocks lemon zesters). They carry a large section of beautiful organic and local produce, and they even had my favorite Japanese potatoes (organic and local). Besides their produce, I also bought a couple of prepared lunch items to take on a trip to Upcountry: a vegan hummus wrap and vegan tofu spring rolls. Both were delicious and reasonably priced. This is a must-visit market, especially if you are vegan (their prepared items are clearly marked). I hear their vegan chocolate cake is spectacular.
