If you’re a vegan visiting Cabo, eat here!! - Edit
After several days of eating beans at the resort I had to get to a vegan restaurant. This restaurant did not disappoint. Loved loved loved the ceviche from hearts of palm. First time I had a ceviche since going vegan. Now I’m obsessed. My spouse had the carpaccio made from pineapple. He enjoyed it but I think we missed out on the sashimi. Other customers were raving about the sashimi. We split a pizza and it was delish. My only regret is that we didn’t go here sooner in the week so we could go again.

This place was awesome. Friendly staff in a chill atmosphere with incredibly delicious food. We enjoyed the vegan nachos and tacos…and will definitely be going back to try other items as everything on the menu looked good 😊 located close to the marina area, we highly recommend this place to anyone looking for great food while in Cabo.

Beautiful patio and bar, above street level so you usually get a nice breeze and great sunset views. The food is excellent and the staff is very friendly and helpful. The added bonus is the resident pug Ancelmo who is adorable.

Best vegan option at Los Cabos. Not only do they have delicious meals, but they grow a great variety of greens to use in their distes. Only downside is that portions are small

Unique and special options. - Edit
What an amazing place. 95% vegan menu. We ordered 6 or so dishes and ate family style. Everything was good. But a couple of the items. Like the mushroom sashimi are special. A unique combination of flavors that bring a unique twist to a Baja style vegan dish. I hesitate to call it sashimi as it didn't have any fishy flavor. Instead it had a mix between umami, sweat and sour. Their Rays "salad" was also a surprise. It was not a traditional salad. Instead came out as a partioned bowl of flavor over raw zucchini and carrot noodles. If the food wasn't enough, the ambience brought it over the top. From the happy cow painted on the wall, to the spice garden, or the branding on the waiting staff. All to create a plant based Eden. Only wished they where 100% vegan.

This place is amazing! The ceviche alone is worth the trip. But we had several things on the menu and it was all excellent. One of the best vegan meals, and we live in Portland where vegan food is everywhere.

Everything was spectacular, and it’s easy to order in English or Spanish. I loved the Big Dog hot dog for something different. The drinks were excellent and the service was so friendly. Everyone eating here was so happy, probably because it’s just so good here.

Love the food and love the owners story! - Edit
A friend stumbled on This restaurant one evening in Cabo and told us she had the best vegan burger (The Big Mako) The following night we went there for dinner with both Vegan and non Vegan friends and feasted on some amazing burgers, appys and the most delicious fresh juices! I recommend both the Sunshine and the Rojo! Big portions for the price!

Veggie restaurant near the marina! - Edit
Mako is located right by the marina in Cabo San Lucas. You could even walk there if you came in by cruise ship.
Read moreMako serves a little bit of everything from pizza to burgers to pasta to more traditional Mexican dishes. They focus on veggies rather than meat substitutes so this might be a friendlier option for skeptical members of your party. They also have menus in English.
Kevin had one of their lentil burgers and I had a salad. They also had a few vegan dessert options.
We enjoyed everything we tried. Its convenience for tourists can't be beat!
Pros: Excellent food and variety, Convenient location for tourists

Delicious Veg Food, Great Ambiance - Edit
I found Mako while vacationing in Cabo and loved it so much we went twice in one week. This place is vegetarian and vegan, so some items have dairy. Just make sure to say "vegan" and they can make you anything totally plant based. But EVERYONE should come here, the food is so good that non-veg people loved it also. Portion sizes are a good size, substantial but not gigantic. And the food is all fresh and so tasty.
Read moreIt is in a great location by the Marina. Tables are all outdoors but with plenty of shade and a tropical/hip vibe.
My boyfriend got the Big Vegan, and it is amazing - it's a burger with a portobello mushroom as the bun, which is great for GF vegans. I was stealing bites of his because it was so good. All the burgers are very good - I got the BBQ. Delish.
Try the mini sopes - they are tiny and so delicious. We got the ceviche with hearts of palm and that was delicious too. We tried the sashimi (made from mushroom) and it was good but very, very spicy.
I also ordered the hawaiian pizza and that was delicious. I took leftovers to go and was eating slices out of the fridge the whole rest of the vacation.
I wish I had gotten dessert, because they all looked amazing. We got the goji berry smoothie and it is like a strawberry milkshake... insane. The juices are delicious and refreshing, but have a lot of pulp.
They are really great about accommodating English speakers, but it helps if you can keep requests simple, point to menu items, and know some Spanish phrases like "la cuenta, por favor" as in, "check, please."
Delicious food, great people, cool atmosphere.
Pros: Excellent food., Good value., Friendly staff.

Best vegan place in San Lucas! - Edit
I’ve been for about two weeks in San Lucas and I’ve already visited Mako twice, the food is too good! The first time I had the vegan burger (it was delicious, it didn’t have bread, it was substituted by a huge mushroom, very original) the second time I had the vegan tacos, delicious too!

This place is amazing. Beatiful atmosphere, live music. The food is exquisite. The Big Vegan is served on giant portobello mushrooms instead of a bun and its so delicious and also kindve aesthetic. They also have board games you can play if you wanna chill for a bit and super tasty mixed drinks.

What an amazing find. The tacos were delicious, the bowl was perfect, and the drinks were great. One of the nights we came there was live music, and in general the ambiance was relaxing, low-key, and a far cry from the touristy nonsense down the road.
