Side dishes include seaweed salad, kimchi, edamame, and miso soup. Serves Japanese beer and sake. Small space, reserve ahead to ensure seating. Open Tue-Fri 17:00-22:00, Sat-Sun 15:00-22:00. Closed Mon.

Das Sushi war Mega lecker, der Service schnell und freundlich. Ich hatte eine Auswahl an verschiedenen Rollen für 20 Euro, was bei mir immer wieder die Frage aufwirft, warum Sushi so teuer ist. Das Ambiente fand ich clean und aufgeräumt, dafür verliert die Gemütlichkeit. Ansonsten wirklich empfehlenswert.

Freundliche Bedienungen und das Essen ist wahnsinnig lecker. Es wirkt alles wie selbstgemacht und auch die Tees sind genau richtig. Wir kommen bestimmt wieder.

Been multiple times and always ordered several rolls to share with friends. It's rather pricey, but the restaurant offers flavours of sushi not found anywhere else.

It is one of Grothendiecks greatest accomplishments to introduce the theory of motifs into geometry. They are supposed to form a natural way of understanding all cohomology theories of schemes simultaneously. A synthetic approach to find the heart of geometry. Similarly we can understand Maki Maki’s approach to sushi. While they may use unorthodox ways to reinvent the art of sushi, they do capture the heart of this cuisine. Here you get the feeling that the platonic ideal of sushi has been given form, all while no animal has been harmed. Just as Grothendieck stands for mathematical excellence so does Maki Maki stand for brilliant food. I can only recommend paying this restaurant a visit just as I would recommend to engage with Grothendieck’s motifs. Sometimes it is those things that appear unnatural that capture the heart of their respective ideas.

Sehr tolles Restaurant! Alles hat sehr lecker geschmeckt, sodass meine Begleitung und ich so lange nachbestellt haben, bis wir wirklich nicht mehr konnten. Das Zubereitung hat zwar immer etwas gedauert, war dafür aber aber super lecker und toll angerichtet. Ich komme auf jeden Fall mal wieder.

I am a huge fan of sushi, and I was really happy to find this completely vegan sushi place in Münster! I usually make my own sushi at home, and regular avocado or cucumber rolls, that are offered in most sushi restaurants, don't really impress me. But the food in makimaki is outstanding: the flavors, textures, presentation, every detail is carefully put in place. It is just a unique masterpiece. Yes it is quite pricey but for their level of excellence it is worth it.

Ja, für bestelltes Essen Im Vergleich zu manch anderen etwas teurer, aber das ist Sushi ja immer und ich habe noch nirgendwo so tolle Sorten gegessen wie hier.😄Auch die Beilagen sind super lecker und besonders die Sushi-Sorten Crispy Mushroom Aioli und Greek-Japanese Wedding sind to die for! 😍

Ein sehr gemütlicher Raum. Mein Date und ich hatten Suppe, ein paar Vorspeisen und eine der großen Sushi 'Boxen'. Es hat uns sehr geschmeckt, hat sich auf jeden Fall gelohnt, gerne wieder! Es hat auch meiner Erinnerung nach nicht so viel gekostet.. es war ein besonderer Tag für uns und haben jeweils um die 20€ ausgegeben, was relativ in Ordnung ist.

This was the best vegan sushi I have ever had. All the dishes tasted flavoursome and fresh and I just wish they had a branch in Düsseldorf - although I’m sure my bank balance is healthier for there not being one. You should probably book because the interior is small and pleasingly simple. We really felt that we could concentrate on the food that was put in front of us. I was ecstatic to find I could have brown rice tea. I worked in Japan once and first had it there and have been on the lookout for it ever since. We would definitely return here so that we could try everything on the menu!
