Pure vibes - Edit
Cute cozy place with pure vibes. We tried burger(which was quite giant) 😉and pesto pasta which were prepared freshly with love. And we both (me n my husband) went crazy after eating this tempting dishes. MUST TRY! Amazing Food, Adorable Dog!! - Edit
The owner of this place was extremely friendly and welcoming. We ordered veggie burgers which were HUGE and filled with lots of delightful seasonal veggies, along with a yummy fruit shake. The owner's giant and beautiful dog next to us the entire time which made it all the more enjoyable. We were surprised by how affordable the bill was! If you're in Matala you must check this place out.

And it was really delicious. Nice burger patty and awesome sauce. I can really really recommend it. The waiters and the cooker were really kind and u feel like home. Good place to eat in matala.the whole spirit reminds at the beginning of matala in the 70s. Thanks for that amazing food journey!!

Best Burgers on Crete! - Edit
If you have the chance go there and check out their Burgers! They are amazing and the homemade Raki is delicious as well. The service is great and good fun. We will visit every time we come back to Matala!

A small place, very cozy and with a great atmosphere. The owners were very friendly and helpful. They had complete understanding of what being vegan means. They don't have a menu, as they decide from day to day what to serve. When I was there they offered salad, burger or pizza. I chose the burger. A big burger made of veggies served in a big bun. A different burger than what I am used to, but in a good way. I really recommend this place.

We were excited to find a vegetarian/vegan restaurant while visiting Crete a few weeks ago. We made a special trip to Matala to eat at Mad Irie and what an excellent decision that was! The vegan burger was crisp on the outside, tender on the inside and bursting with flavor. A huge sandwich, served on a soft bun, stuffed with condiments and toppings. The tiny shop also sells the delicious salsa and other veggie condiments featured in their menu. Don't miss out on Mad Irie--we'll be back on our next visit to Crete (hope it's soon!).

I asked the owners to surprise me (with anything vegan). They certainly did. Incredible burger. Huge portion size and only 7 euros for that and a drink. Lovely owners, lovely dog, lovely place.

My favourite place in Matala. The vegan Burgers were delivious all homemade and not expensive at all. But the best aspect was the atmosphere at Mad Irie, which was very relaxing and I felt like i was at home. I can only recommend it.

Amazing Place! - Edit
Little place on the way to the Red Beach. Don't miss out, the food cooked by David and Michelle is delicious... They are probably the only ones in Matala to offer vegan food. When I say vegan I mean something different to the Greek menus. It has a nice Rasta vibe that flows perfectly with the environment. Tasty food, chill space and most importantly good people. Enjoy!
