Fun bao - Edit
We tried their maitake bao with spicy sauce and their kakiage bao with wasabi sauce, which were both really delicious. We ordered for to-go that’s why the sauce is on a separate container. The sauce was also really good. We also tried their matcha and chocolate (not pictured) donuts. They were not too sweet. I prefer the matcha though. I will try their kinako donut next time.

AMAZING go here ♡ - Edit
Good price for the amount and quality. It's so delicious and entirely vegan (the entire menu is!). Don't forget to add the fries. I also really liked that they give you four bottles of sauce for your fries and bao.

Nice but expensive - Edit
I had the fried mushroom bao which was really tasty but very difficult to eat. In the end I had to take the mushrooms out and eat them separately which slightly ruined the point.

The doughnut was really nice and cooked fresh.

Big Fan of Deez Buns - Edit
What an excellent stop for lunch! The large bao buns are delightfully fluffy, and come with a utensil to help you push your sammich stuff further into the bun. There was absolutely no grease with either of our meals, and it was the perfect amount of food to satiate our hunger and not be overstuffed.
Read moreI ordered the freeze dried bean curd with cheese sauce, and it was perfect. The breading on the tofu wasn't too thick, and the red cabbage and cucumber complimented the texture and flavors well. The tofu block itself has a good density to it. The cheese sauce was light and tasty, and had the right amount of drizzle to get a bit in each bite without oversaturating the thing (I hate overly sauced things).
Hubs got the falafel with sweet and spicy sauce. Falafel was fluffy and not over fried, with a light crisp on the outside. The sweet and spicy sauce was delicious 🤤, and balanced well with the falafel, despite previous concerns.
The donuts were not at all regretted. They are fried on the spot, with a nice light cakey texture. They shockingly aren't very greasy. Lastly, the ladies working here are absolutely delightful 😁
They do take credit card here.

The must go to if you're in Osaka. I was there twice and each time I just had to order a second bao bun buger because it was so tasty. It's vegan perfection and tastes simply amazing. Highly recommended!

There are 11 baos to choose from, the bean curd cutlet bao was really good! And the donuts are crunchy and fresh (they cook them on the spot), so really recommend a visit!

Not bad, but not everything “worked” - Edit
I love bao, and I was super excited to try this place. But even though I loved the r concept, it didn’t quite “work” for me on all levels. There were things I liked and also things I really didn’t.
Read moreTo start, the bao are huge, like hamburger-bun sized. That makes the bao itself not quite the right texture, even though they are well-made. It also made them hard to eat, and you couldn’t get an even ingredient distribution in each bite.
The other problem is that I found everything to be over-sauced. That’s a preference thing but it also made them hard to eat.
The miatake bao was the best one. It had too much filling but once I ate one of the pieces it worked pretty well. I liked the spicy sauce and the mushrooms were well fried. The little bit of lettuce also worked really nicely.
The falafel bao didn’t quite work. The falafel were really soft so it was kind of squishy. The tastes were good though.
The tofu bao was honestly bad. The tofu balls were flavorless and too soft and the sesame sauce wasn’t good either. Definitely skip that one if you go here.
It was a cute place and I liked the concept a lot. I think some of the bao were better than others. It wasn’t an “avoid” but overall it wasn’t a “must do.” If you’re in the area it isn’t a poor choice, but I didn’t feel it was a great one either.
