Disappointing - Edit
Not vegan. Honestly very few options left for a vegan, and all of them the least tasty ones... most is vegetarian.
Read moreI was very excited to have the cook come over and trace down an Italian accent... that must be good pasta right?! Mwahhh not really, no. I had the pumpkin-pasta with a few slices of seitan in it (harldy any) and found it quite boring. Ate about 1/4 of the plate. I liked the soy-nuggets though, kind of easy fast food that stopped my hunger instead.... but certainly not what you go to a restaurant for (I'm a vegan food blogger). My partner ate two bites and stopped, we went to another restaurant afterwards for him... which can't possibly be a good sign.
The only thing I liked was the wine. Italian wine, doesn't get better than that.
Pros: Italian wine
Cons: No interesting vegan options, Bland taste, boring food

An open spacy place. The menu has incredibly wide range of choices, which were all amazingly delicious and the plates were small pieces of art.

Food was delicious and price not bad at all. We asked which dishes were vegan and the owner gladly walked us through the menu. Will definitely come again.

Best choice on Bohol - Edit
We got happy again after eating in this restaurant. They have a couple of vegan meals and also a vegan cheesecake (which I didn't like that much). All of the main dishes (primi and secondi) were amazing! Go for the Pumpkin/ Soymeatpasta and the Soyburger! Also the nuggets were really nice. :)

Incredible food and presentation - Edit
The food at Luna Rossa is probably better than anywhere else in Panglao. Delicious, well thought-out, amazingly presented. Go for the pastas, as the burgers are a little small. The service is wonderful too.

Awesome Find - Edit
This restaurant is pretty new and is owned by a couple who moved here from Italy. When she found out I was vegan after our meal came over to talk and was excited to meet us. Hubby got pasta and said it was the best pasta he has EVER eaten. I enjoyed multiple dishes (many visits) and loved her seitan. Says it opens at 5:30 but we saw it open earlier. Friendly staff, good food, has wifi, and if we ever went back to the Philippines would absolutely return here.

Cons: Not open for lunch, Be sure to state vegan

WOW!! - Edit
This place is fantastic. Being vegan isn't easy in the Philippines so I was somewhat excited to find this place. I wasn't disappointed. I was given a complimentary appetizer which was very tasty. I then opted for the vegetable basket followed by penne arrabbiata. And for dessert - vegan cheesecake!! The food was delicious and was very welcome after nearly a month of just getting by with food. I was actually stuffed when I left. The staff were lovely and there was a nice ambiance in the restaurant. I would thoroughly recommend Luna Rossa and would definitely return if I came back to Panglao.

World class vegetarian Italian restaurant in the Philippines! - Edit
I've eaten at the best vegetarian restaurants at veg meccas like San Francisco, and LA, and Luna Rossa is on par with any and better than most. If you visit Bohol you must make the pilgrimage to taste Marina's exceptional cooking.
