The best vegan café in Brussels - Edit
Lucifer lives is hand down my favourite café in Brussels. Their food is 100% vegan and so delicious! They offer amazing brunch options, hot drinks and cakes. They are the most outspoken café in Brussels when it comes to taking a stance against racism, sexism, LBTQIA+ phobia and speciesism and create a safe space where everyone is welcome!

Amazing - Edit
I had one of the best vegan cakes ever here. There were lots of options for food and for drinks at a very reasonable price and the staff were really friendly. It's everything you could wish for in a place like this. Definitely worth making time for when you're in Brussels

Wonderful addition to the Brussels' vegan 'scene' - Edit
Since we went into lockdown I haven't had a sit-down meal or snack. I take out because I feel safer that way. So that was the plan today. However, the place felt safe enough to risk it since the rules were observed.
Read moreI sat down in a plush armchair, not far from the Meat Is Murder album cover on the wall (I am a massive fan), and although I don't have much of a sweet tooth, I enjoyed my piece of layer cake with peanut butter by Buddy Buddy immensely. Price/quality was good as well, which isn't often the case elsewhere here in Brussels when you look at what's on offer for vegans.
Service was friendly and really fast.
If they were in my neighbourhood I'd be a regular.

Comfortable coffee bar with Anglo-Saxon style baked goods, great drinks and assumed identity. What's not to love.

Best vegan place in Brussels!! - Edit
My partner and I (and our two dogs) had the BEST breakfast & coffee at Lucifer Lives last week. Everything was so fresh and delicious that I'm dreaming about going back there next time I'm in Brussels. Oh and the owners are very friendly and just seem like genuinely good people. I love places like this

Im not a big coffee drinker but definitely a sweet tooth and i can recommend this place for every cake eater - chocolate, red velvet, carrot cake, apple cake, salted caramel cake, lemon cake and so on, (even donuts!) the offer depends on the day. They serve great tea and chai latte😄loved it!

A vegan cafe like no other - Edit
Top-notch espresso-based drinks made with beans from a local Brussels roastery, a variety of delicious vegan pastries (most beautifully crafted vegan chocolate cake in town, and pain au chocolat is the best I've ever tried!), generous fresh sandwiches during lunch time, coolest/rarest movie posters and art you'll ever see in a coffee shop... every item seems to have it's own story! But the best thing about this place is that it is run by two lovely people who are openly creating a safe space for people of color, LGBTQ, and refugees. Thank you for this special spot ❤️

Not recommended. - Edit
I had breakfast at luciferlivescoffee, not at all the best vegan coffee in Brussels. Morover, no covid rules have been observed: no physical distance, no name of clients sitting at table required. I asked to observe the rules and to take name of clients and they didn't want to do it. I would expect a vegan place been more careful to clients and public health. Instead they break the safety rules in favor of profit.

Cons: Unfriendly staff

I was sitting at the table not far away from you that day and I'm sorry but you and your partner were very rude to staff member.
Read moreThe person was calmy telling you that everything possible was made to keep clients as safe as possible they apologized many many times and you kept being very agressive and rude.
They are not responsible for people on the streets not following official directives.
The staff DO ask for names and contacts, I've been there three times already and they do everytime.
Sorry guys that you didn't had a good time or felt safe, but you can't take down the entire shop's team for civic responsibilities not being taken from clients. It's very low.

You created your account specifically to put an unfair review for a new vegan spot. Damn you must be obsessed with them, since you left the same comment on Facebook. Next time you can stay home😄

Don't miss it! - Edit
I've only been in this café once but will definitely come back. It is located in a great area of Brussels and is very cozy. I tried the red velvet cake, which was delicious! The staff was super friendly as well, and as a bonus point, they have beautiful plants in the café😄it is a little expensive but totally worth it in my opinion, I definitely recommend it!
