Great atmosphere - Edit
Loved the soup and the chocolate shortbread I had. Also had a quiche which was OK but my girlfriend makes better ones😉Very friendly people and I loved the b-movie theme. Great place.

Welcoming, an LGBT+ safe-space - Edit
Lucifer Lives feels like a very welcoming café. The portions are a very decent size, the food tasty and the menu rather unique. I hope to go back soon.
Read more*EDIT* I went back in October to celebrate my birthday. The food was just as good as the first time. Once again, I can't wait to go back!

Beetroot cocoa - Edit
Café with interesting interior. We had the tuna sandwich with tomato soup, quiche, croissant, coffee cake, cocoa and beetroot cocoa. Everything was mediocre, apart from the beetroot cocoa which we liked a lot. The coffee cake was too sweet for me.

Pros: entirely vegan, desserts (sweets) available

Amazing vegan food in Brussels - Edit
I went here for lunch on a short trip to Brussels and they offered a weekly menu consisting of a lunch item, quiche and soup. I tried the lunch item which was a tofu steak with veggies, mash and gravy and it was delicious! I also had a choc marshmallow cookie and an oat latte both which were lovely 😊

Nutella Deluxe - Edit
Sadly, we came a little bit too late and the kitchen had already been closed. So we treated ourselves with a Black Forest Cake. Additionally, we got a Nutella Hot Chocolate and Latte Macchiato.

Staff patiently reassured us twice that 'it is all vegan.' Cake was amazing, and the hot chocolates too. Couldn't quite believe it! Super popular on a Saturday afternoon!

Popular for brunch - Edit
We came by around 1:30pm on a Saturday afternoon and this place was buzzin! We had to wait for a table for a bit then ordered the hangover and the grilled cheese with tomato soup from the menu.
Read moreThey had already run out of orange juice so no mimosas… Bagel was nice, definitely full to the brim, I found it had too much ketchup but that’s a personal preference. The egg replacement inside could’ve used a bit of black salt for the eggy smell.
The tomato soup was really pepper heavy for some reason but still tasty.
Maybe more items on the menu would be nice…
Nice to see vegan businesses blooming
Pros: Nice decor
Cons: Have to wait for a while to get a table, Lack of choices in the menu

My favorite cafe! - Edit
Has to be one of my favorite cafes ever. You can see clearly that the owner is vegan for the animals as the place has many anti-speciesist posters and stickers (I loved to see them). Overall the decoration/vibe of the place is great. I tried pumpkin cake as it was nearly Halloween when I visited the place, and the cake was amazing. However if you go there early (before 11-12 I believe) they do not have that many options available yet so maybe try to go after mid-day.

Best crowd in Brussels - Edit
Compared to some of the other vegan places in Brussels you will find fewer hipsters here and a more alternative crowd which makes the café feel very welcoming and relaxed.
Read moreI had a croissant which was really good, a carrot walnut cake which was too sweet but still nice for when you want to indulge in dessert. The hot chocolate was decent, but nothing special, but I think this place is not trying to be the place with the most special, fancy drinks, but just a cozy spot for vegans to hang out and have good sweets.
Pros: Super chill crowd, Great pastries

Favorite place in Brussels - Edit
Lucifer lives is a coffeeshop/restaurant. There is a weekly menu, with quiche, sandwich, soup and a dish, like a typical carbonade flamande. There is also a large choice of drinks, like coffee with plant based milk, chaï, matcha, homemade limonade… Many desserts are proposed, in american style, like layer cake, cheesecake, tart and cookie… The food are very tasty, the drinks are delicious and I loved the place with the decoration. The staff are also very nice and friendly. I really recommand this place for breakfast, lunch, brunch, or snack stop !

Delicious (comfort) food, cosy place & kind-hearted staff - Edit
Have a break in this unique coffee bar, which offers a weekly sandwich, soupe, quiche or lunch plate, delicious pastries and cookies. Plates are simple but more than 'simply tasteful', I'd say delicious! And 100% vegan 🤗 Menu changes weekly, some cookies & pastry come back more often than others.

My best vegan restaurant in Brussels - Edit
For my last day in Brussels, I decided to have lunch in this place, AND to taste brunch the next morning!
Read moreWe change register and atmosphere compared to other signs.
This place is a street food bar/café/restaurant with superb pastries from the “succulente.be” plant-based pastry shop in Brussels.
I was able to take a 4 melting cheese pizza.
A hot chocolate, croissant and pain au chocolat break.
And a brunch on Saturday morning, a delicious homemade burger with bacon, scrambled "eggs" and good fries.
And for dessert, a good big cookie!
It was a pleasure to discuss with the managers involved in several social causes, who have already received several awards such as the belgium vegan award.
This place offers movie nights of B movies.
Oh yes, the decoration is atypical with lots of references to horror films or B movies from the 70s/80s/90s. To be explored during the tasting.
In short, a very pleasant place where we are well received with homemade dishes that change every week.
My favorite of my trip to Brussels.
Pros: Déco, Home made, Pastries
