This little place is amazing. Haven't been for ages as moved away from home :( but used to visit a few times a week for lunch! It was excellent value and totally delicious. I love the crispy 'beef' type stuff yum yum. When I come back to Norwich next month I will be visiting :) Highly recommended!!

Pros: Delicious fresh Chinese food, All vegan, Friendly cheerful staff

Cons: No seating, Odd TV channel in loving huts

Incredible. 10/10. love of my life

As you can tell from the title of this review, I have so much love for this little place. Always friendly and welcoming, answer any questions and if they're running low on a dish they will not hesitate to cook more for you even if they're about to close. I love how fresh everything is, and that it is so cheap! Only £5.50 for all you can eat!!! I usually go for a medium box and fill it to the top! (only £4).
They also serve 'meal deals' where they make food to order, such as typical traditional foods such as steak/sausage/burgers/fish served with chips, and specials that you'd find in non-vegan chinese take out places, such as chicken balls & sweet and sour sauce, king prawn balls and chicken in black bean sauce.
Very rarely do i find 'fake meats' that i actually like, but the consistency and flavour of the ones used in loving hut are unrecognisable as 'vegan' products. (Sometimes makes you question if its actually fake) - So a great place to take non-vegan friends.
Overall 10/10, lovely staff and the tastiest food. Would recommend to everyone.

Pros: amazing food, lots of variety, lovely staff

Cons: not much room to sit, close at 4

Excellent takeaway lunch

Perfect to make work colleagues jealous when you bring back to the office! A great selection of Chinese buffet options - usually a noodle dish, rice dish and a choice of 3 dishes with sauce (satay and sweet & sour are my personal favourites!) The 'meat' used is incredibly authentic and many meat eaters who I have taken here do not believe that it isn't real meat! Great value takeaway lunch for under £5 or can cook other meals to order ('fish' and chips etc). There is also salad available. A great spot for a quick lunch and in close proximity to eat in Castle Meadow gardens on a sunny day.

Pros: Good value, Great choice of vegan options, Delicious food

Cons: Buffet can be slow to replenish at busy times, No seating

I wish I could go here every day!

Omg this place. I loved Loving Hut, I came back twice in a weekend when I was staying in Norwich. I love that you can choose what and how much you want and you can just take it and go. A really amazing idea and I wish there was one in Ipswich. I really like how it has so many dishes that you can get in a "normal" Chinese, but they're all vegan friendly. Such a good idea.

Pros: Delicious food, fast and convenient , lots of options

Cons: Would be good if you could eat inside

Loving Hut Norwich

Popped in here for lunch but no seats inside, appears to be takeaway only unless you want to stand and eat! Good selection of hot food available, help yourself buffet style. I found the price really reasonable, a good size takeaway container full of food was £4. I'd suggest different containers though. The ones used are more suited to dry food not food in sauces. By the time I got back to my hotel with the box there was a lot of spillage in my bag. It's also only open very limited hours which is a shame. Not as good as other Loving Hut's I've visited.

Pros: All vegan , Very reasonable pricing

Cons: No seats, Very short opening times

Yum!

It's always a treat to come here for lunch. So good to know I can eat everything as a vegan. £4 container is more than enough for me and it's all super delicious, particularly enjoy the curries and the satay dishes.

Pros: Cheap, All vegan, Yum

Cons: It isn't in Lowestoft, No seating, Not in the main stretch

All vegan

On the road behind the Castle. Takeaway or stand-up eat-in. Buffet offers brown rice, white rice, sautéed peppers, chips (French fries), curry, satay and salad. Vegan mayo available. Menu items are burgers and fish-and-chips, made from frozen patties and breaded nuggets. The Loving Hut burger (not the regular burger) is made with breaded chick’n pieces, a slice of vegan cheese and sautéed mushrooms and onions, making it tasty. With fries and salad from the buffet, the cost is £5.50.
I believe I was told the hours are noon-4, Tues.-Sat.

Pros: all vegan, buffet is homemade, friendly service

Cons: burgers, etc., made from frozen

My first choice for lunch!

Been eating here since it opened, never had a bad meal but have on occasion found very little choice which I guess is a good thing, it means they're selling out!

You have a choice of noodles, rice, a sweet n sour dish, a curry, usually a slightly hotter curry and numerous other go-withs like prawn (vegan)crackers, veg spring rolls and a salad bar.

They now also offer vegan fish n chips, burgers etc all cooked to order so you'll have to hang around for these options.

Unfortunately the lovey lady who ran the place passed away last year and she was so sweet, I really miss her big smile and uplifting conversation. Things have however carried on as usual and the family are still knocking our great vegan comfort food.

Pros: 100% vegan, Tasty and comforting, Good value

Cons: Not the healthiest vegan food

cheap vegan Take-away

Grab a tasty filling take-away boxful of vegan chinese for £4. Think you could eat as much as you like there for about £6 but no seats, you stand at a bar to eat.
Not sure if the wider range of loving hut burgers and so on is available here, but the take-out box from the buffet made a good lunch.

Pros: All Vegan, Cheap

Cons: No Seating

Delicious food, a warm welcome.

I visited this loving hut last year and was very impressed. Unlike other restaurant/ cafe format loving huts this one is more of a canteen with a long serving counter down one side and a table in the middle with no seats. It's ideal for a quick and tasty lunch. The staff there are so lovely and welcoming and make you feel comfortable. The food is fantastic and the location is also great right near the centre. The food is cheap too!

Pros: Friendly staff, Delicious food, Great location

Cons: No seats

Crazy good food!!

Completely vegan despite the very convincing vegan meats that have you wondering if they're telling the truth! It's the only place I've managed to find that is completely vegan and mind-blowingly delicious! The staff are very friendly and if you have any worries about the food don't hesitate to ask! After reading so many reviews stating how wonderful and realistic their vegan meats were I was a bit worried and so had to quiz them out of curiosity. They were very cool about it and informed me that all of the meats they served was made from soy and marinated to taste like the real thing! Sadly there is no indoor seating but that is what keeps the place so well priced. Would definitely return for the Chinese buffet but have yet to try the vegan fish, burgers and other meals they claim to offer!

Pros: Amazing food (variety & quality), Good pricing (cheap), Prime location (train station near by and outdoor

Cons: No indoor seating

Nice food, nowhere to sit.

Yummy chinese-style vegan takeaway with tasty food and friendly staff. The dishes are not labelled, but the very frienly woman working there was keen to tell us what everything was (and warn us if things were very spicy).
Good value for money (£4 for medium size box of takeaway which was plenty).
The odd religious undertone is a bit off-putting with Supreme-Master TV playing in the background, but no-one tries to convert you.
We took our food and sat in the castle grounds (opposite Loving Hut) as the restaurant only has one table with no chairs and it was a nice sunny day.

Pros: Good value, tasty, good vaiety, , friendly staff, vegan

Cons: Nowhere to sit, religious undertone

Great stuff

This place is great. Every single dish is so tasty and they have loads of options to buy from the freezer from vegan cod fillets, to mutton pieces.

For £4 you get a massive takeaway box of great food and you'll never meet a happier more helpful owner.

Pros: Great food, Friendly staff

Loving loving hut!

I just visited this place for the first time in June 2010 and thought it was wonderful. Staff were so helpful and friendly. Everything is vegan, pasta, rice, curries and sweets. There are similar places to this in London and we are lucky to have on here. Do please support it! It is excellent value for money and you can choose just exactly what and how much you want. They also have a good selection of frozen foods. The only down sides can be parking for a takeway (there is a multi storey opposite though) and I wish they had somewhere more comfortable for you to sit and eat as it's really a take out. I hope you love it as much as i do!

Pros: Best choice of this type of food locally, Value, Just fabulous

Cons: Parking outside, Better seating

Brilliant

A tiny place, in a poor location, but run by a brilliant woman that provides an excellent, if small, lunchtime buffet. There is usually three choices of sauce, to go with noodles or nice, and various extras. Price is around 3 or 4GBP. It's very cheap and very nice.

Pros: Cheap, Charming

Cons: Location, Few Dishes
