Impressive

A noodle dish, a rice dish, orange tofu and pepper tofu gave us enough food to last our family of 4 for several meals and for an amazing price! The flavors are top tier and the selection in insane. Great service and a large indoor seating area, a highly recommended spot.

Best loving hut I've ever been to!!!

I've been to 7 Loving Hut locations from the East Coast to the West Coast and this is the best one I've had so far! The Mongolian wonder (I added broccoli to mine) was to die for. The flavors were absolutely incredible, and the portions are insane. The Orange wonder was also out of this world! We also got the sampler platter and loved everything on it (except the wontons). We weren't a big fan of the wontons, but it didn't even matter because everything else was amazing. You must go here if you want some mind blowing Asian food! I cannot recommend it highly enough!

Pros: Mongolian wonder, Orange wonder, Appetizer sampler

Great Vegan Spot

I got the wontons and Mongolian wonder this time. Super tasty and really affordable for the amount of food they give you.

My favourite vegan restaurant

I’m from the Bay Area where vegan restaurants are more plentiful and STILL this place is my favourite. Every dish I’ve tried is bursting with flavour. I also appreciate it’s simple to bring non-veg people here as the types of dishes are easily explained. Love the cult lore too.

Pros: Delicious food, Quick, Easy

Pretty good!

I was not impressed with the pad Thai. It didn’t have much flavor. But the orange wonder was FANTASTIC. It’s like orange chicken. It had a great texture and the sauce was perfect. The Thai iced teas were also very tasty.

Pros: Orange wonder

Cons: Pad Thai not so flavorful

Love love love the loving hut

I don't get to come very frequently, but I make sure to eat here every time I'm in Elk Grove. The Spicey ChaCha and the Orange Wonder are two of my favorites.

A new favorite takeout place

I hate to list this as the first thing about a restaurant, but it’s the first thing I noticed, so I figure it’s only fair - this place is horribly rundown. This is not a diner where I would dine in - I have no desire to eat in a place that looks as this one does and I’d rather get takeout (which I did).

The menu was very soy/tofu heavy, so if you have a soy allergy, this establishment will probably not be your friend. If you eat lots of meat substitutes, then you’ll love this place. Some menu items look very processed, such as the tofu chicken wings.

I ordered the BBQ Vermicelli and really enjoyed it. The only thing I disliked was the salad. It tasted like pure mint and there was no dressing. I absolutely loved the spring rolls. They were fresh, crunchy, and flavorful. Man, I could eat a whole plate of those spring rolls by myself. The noodles were kind of bland. The tofu, caramelized onions, and peanuts were very good. I appreciated that it was all hot and fresh, and that the staff didn’t let it sit and get cold for 20 minutes. I definitely enjoyed this place and I can say I’ll be returning here for more takeout in the future.

Pros: Fresh, hot food, Large menu

Cons: Rundown establishment, Not good for soy allergies,

Pretty decent!

So I ordered the Thai fried rice thanks to another Happy Cow reviewer and I also ordered the mixed vegetables with cashews and tofu (or something like that). I liked both. I thought the Thai fried rice had some kind of interesting spice but was still good. And the other dish was very saucy but still flavorful. The cashew dish also has king oyster mushrooms which I thought originally were water chestnuts but turned out to be mushy like mushrooms; a little misleading... Also the tofu in the cashew dish was a little spongy in texture and was a little hard to chew up. But my overall experience was a good one for my first time visiting there.

Extensive menu and friendly service

The staff was really friendly and the food came out pretty quick. We ordered a ton of dishes to try (see pics). My favorite was the Thai fried rice…would happily just make a meal of that alone! 🤤 Everything was pretty good but didn’t blow my socks off, so that’s why a 4 instead of a 5.

Na na na na na, I’m Loving 🥰 Hut

So delicious. I went with my Omni friend and she loved her claypot. She also liked the spring rolls. She said they had too much mint for her liking. My tastebuds LOVED the fresh mint pop, but I can understand why she may think it was over powering. No complaints about anything from me. I was very happy that they were able to accommodate oil free for me. The food was wonderful, large portions, good prices, great service, fresh ingredients. Only problem was my stomach would only hold so much 😝

Pros: 100% vegan, Oil free options, Delicious

Cons: Not one in every city

Canola oil alert!!!!

Sadly this restaurant’s food is heavily prepared in canola oil and their menu is filled with fake meat and soy. My family ordered the sweet and sour soup, wonton soup, deep ocean, spicy cha cha, basil fries, and the grilled wrap. Everything was too oily and incredibly salty. As much as I wanted to support another plant based restaurant, I’ll never be back.

Pros: Vegan restaurant

Cons: Uses canola oil, Overloaded with soy and fake meat, Rundown establishment

Good but not great

The place seems a bit run down, maybe they struggled a bit through covid. Food was passable, but was expecting more. Some things were overcooked, then others were luke warm.

Delicious all around

With a varied menu that should have something to please just about anyone, this Loving Hut does a fine job.

The Thai iced tea is particularly good here: flavorful but not overly sweet. The vegan cheesecake is likewise recommendable

Enjoy!

Just Love

It already has great reviews for good reason! I’ve enjoyed everything I’ve tried the numerous times I’ve been there. My all-time favorite is their Sizzling Tofu special, which has a sweet and sour type sauce. I get it without the added jalapeños. Pro tip: I find I like a lot of their dishes even more as leftovers the next day. Just yum!

Pros: Everything is vegan!, Huge menu, Friendly staff

Loving Hut is a treasure

Everyone, vegan or not, that I bring to Loving Hut is amazed! A huge menu, almost too much to chose from. I’m looking forward to stormy weather so I can have an entire large bowl of wonton soup to myself. It is my go-to winter comfort food.

AWEsome!!

Lovely people run this joint. The Kung Pao Tofu is the BEST! The Chachas are excellent. My omni housemates love the pineapple fried rice, the sweet & sour tofu, and a couple other things I can't remember. We eat there twice a month.
