Great vegan sushi! 🍣 - Edit
The sushi is great and the staff very friendly. They offer a big variety of dishes with all sorts of vegan meat/seafood replacements. I'm not the biggest fan of these but they taste good.

Great tasting food - Edit
I've ordered their Phad Thai for delivery before and it was very tasty, though I'm not a fan of the mock prawns. Ate at the restaurant last night and enjoyed a vegan omelette, stir fried rice with sausage, teriyaki duck and a couple of their sushi options. It was all really tasty, though I still don't like the mock prawns (in 1 of the sushi options).

great variety and speedy service - Edit
I visited this restaurant for lunch with my son. It's located on the main road and not a side road as suggested by google maps. The restaurant is very clean, tidy and well presented making for a relaxed meal and they can accommodate larger parties.
Read moreThere is a huge menu including typical Asia dishes made with mock meats and more besides.
We had smoothies and some Thai dishes plus sushi. Service was pretty quick (no English) and food well presented and tasty, but nothing spectacular as was to be expected. The smoothies were tasty but seemed overly sweet, probably a lot of syrup included and ice, so more like slushies. Sushi is unremarkable but the Khao Soi is excellent and Pad Thai is good.
Overall a very good experience, particularly if you like Khao Soi or Pad Thai.
Pros: efficient service , great variety, reasonable prices
Cons: some dishes may disappoint, lacking on fresh options

Loads of choice on the menu - Edit
A rather incongruous location between two mechanic workshops, but nicely set out and welcoming. I had khao soi which I hadn't been ae to try before due to the meat/fish content of the original. Its great to have vegan versions of regional specialties. Next time I'll try the laap.

During our four-night trip to Bangkok, we visited this restaurant four times 😆 It was close to our hotel, comfortable, reasonable, and delicious!
The menu is huge and includes a wide variety of cuisines— Thai, Vietnamese, Italian, and more. Happily, the menu also includes some Japanese dishes. We were so happy to have tonkatsu don again for the first time since going vegan.
We tried a wide variety of dishes and everything was delicious, but in particular we’d recommend the tonkatsu don, coconut smoothie, apple crumble, and unagi don.
There’s not a lot of English spoken, and it can take a while for the food to come out, but we really enjoyed the friendly and relaxed vibe here, and we think you will too.

Absolutely terrible - Edit
How has this place got any good reviews prices are ridiculous for what it is and the food is terrible everything has mock meat if that is what you like but for me no thank you I just want clean healthy vegan food
I would actually rather eat meat than eat this garbage fake food that isn’t even good for you and to be ripped off for 800 baht is even worse
Pros: Terrible

Heerlijk vegan eten in Thailand - Edit

Craving for fried catfish with green mango, but you went vegan meanwhile? No problem - this awesome restaurant serves all your former favourite Thaifood in a vegan version. We did not know what to order first.

incredible variation of so many vegan foods - Edit
When we came here with friends, we thought we would not eat on the spot, as the place is very clean / no music style and therefore not the most welcoming. BUT we ordered plenty of different dishes, and OMG the food was incredible !!! Fresh sushis, fried oyster mushroom, Tom Yum with fake chicken, the fake meat in general was pretty awesome ! Everything was super flavourful and the portions were perfect. i'd totally come back and grab some more food to take away ;)

OK Thai Food - Edit
The dishes are good but there are a lot of mock meats included in the dishes and because it's all Thai everything is fried. However, there are some healthier options such as the Burmese salad and you can avoid the mock meats if they really aren't your thing. The selection is wide and the prices are cheap especially for Bangkok.

This was definitely not the place for me since I don't like faux meat and fish. Also: almost everything we had (dumplings, mixed vegetables, spring rolls) came from the freezer with no fresh produce in sight.

Best Vegan Meal - Edit
One of the best vegan meals we had. Although located slightly further, it was worth making the trip here for dinner. The vegan Peking Duck wraps was delicious and the traditional fish cake was served hot. One of our favorite was the Tom Yam soup - full of flavors and made with a special paste, which you can also purchase in the store. Highly recommend this restaurant and we will be back again.

Great place - Edit
If I was really pushed to find a single fault with this place, it would be that there are simply too many appealing choices on the menu - it took us 20 minutes of deliberation until we'd made our minds up as the menu is that extensive. In the end we chose a few things to share, and without exception everything was delicious.

Really amazing food but confused by menu terminology - Edit
I really enjoyed my food once I understood the menu !! I was not familiar with the Loving Hut franchise and having read the reviews on here I assumed it was fully vegan, which it is, HOWEVER when we sat down and looked at the menu I was very concerned to read: beef, ham, pork, chicken, duck etc etc I was immediately quite perturbed and confused questioning why a vegan restaurant was selling meat!! The owners did not speak English and I didn't realise until later, once my husband's food arrived (I ordered tofu) that these were all mock meats and this wasn't explained to me. If I'd have known I would've ordered something far more adventurous!! So delicious food - but I do have an issue with the menu terminology- it should specify "mock chicken, beef etc" I don't like to see this terminology anyway - I'm vegan!

A Must-Visit for the Vegan Traveller - Edit
I don't have any problem overlooking the creepy cult origins and propaganda that define most Loving Hut franchises because regardless of all of that, they are doing the right thing. This location, with its superbly clean interior, extensive menu, and attentive staff, was a joy to visit. The food was fine. While it didn't blow me away, it was more than satisfying and I was not disappointed by anything I ordered.
Read moreThey offer numerous Thai-inspired courses, as well as many inspired by other national cuisines. Each menu option is accompanied by a photo and an English description. Ordering here was no trouble at all. One of the best things about Loving Hut, and other all-vegan places, is that one needn't worry about the language barrier because there is no chance of them slipping bacon or milk into anything as one might encounter elsewhere. Order and dine with confidence. If for no other reason than that, Loving Hut is always at the top of my list.
Pros: Extensive Menu, Pristine Interior, Relaxed and Pleasant Atmosphere

Moving location - Edit
I usually enjoy visiting Loving Hut restaurants around the world by have to sadly report this one was lacking...lacking atmosphere, service, and food quality was only average and very small serves. Note: although it is advised here to take the free Mariott boat from Sakorn Taksin Pier the boat is not marked 'Marriot' but flies a flag called 'Anantaran'....we missed it and it only runs every 1/2 hour. The restaurant is one of the only tenanted shops in a group of empty shops outside the old hotel. Once inside, we welcomed the air-conditioning and ordered. Food was delivered out of order by a very young girl who could hardly carry the plates. The plates where white china which made a pleasant change from many places in Bangkok using plastic. Cafe style white tables and chairs, vegetarian propaganda posters on the wall & their own TV channel on with the sound muted. This would of been all fine if the food had been amazing. Very average and as very small servings we kept ordering more. Some dishes were deep fried unrecognisable items and not very appetizing at all. The the dim sims were dry. The best thing I had was the coconut smoothie which was possibly the best drink I had in Bangko :) Dishes range from 90bht to 200bht which is not expensive but high for the standard of restaurant. All napkin containers were empty on all the tables which we brought to their notice. NOTE: restaurant is moving on April 6th 2013 to Soi 20 Rama 3 wherever that is. Hoping the new location will add some renewed enthusiasm to the owners and wishing them all the best.

Best restaurant we went toThailand - Edit
In a city of great food, this LH was great. All the items were prepared well. They had a fun 'egg' dish that was made to look like a sunny side up egg in a clever way. We tried every item on the desert menu including several servings of ice cream. Wish I had a LH like this around the corner from where I live now.
